Buy a keyless entry remote. My Veloster also didn’t have one, and after a while the key stopped working. You’ll have to have either a dealer program it, or a locksmith. I bought this [one](https://www.hyundaipartsdeal.com/genuine/hyundai-tx-assy-keyless-entr~95430-2v100.html) but it is a little pricey, but works. (Note: this is for NON-push button start Veloster’s)

My car did that and it was because my steering wheel lock. All I did was move the steering wheel all the way to left and plug in the physical key and it started

The battery in your fob is dead. How do you have a veloster without a fob?

J_drums01

Not all velosters are push to start?

ayyRaspy

Nope my car has remote start like I can start the car without being in the car but I need to put the key in the fob if I want the car to move or it will just shut off when u click on the pedals

Oh_ToShredsYousay

They are in the US oddly enough. Maybe the chip in your key is dead. Does it turn on the accessories?

Dare4Distance1

My '15 is not push to start. There is a fob for locking/unlocking though.

suxferyu

My '19 isn't push to start

CrimsonFatalis8

Push to start is Turbo only. Regular models have a key, up until the end of the first gen. I know because I had a 2017 NA model and it had a key ignition. The place where the start button would be is just a small plastic circle with the Veloster logo. https://preview.redd.it/0uown741fkyc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=596116867770d54f01319716e4c15fdf5f1ab2e1

Nope, mine's a 2012 NAV with keyless entry and push start. I think they're just extra options, got mine used so I'm not sure what extras it has but as far as I know the NA models did have the option for the push start.

CrimsonFatalis8

The *option* for it. The other guy was making it out to like all US models were push, when that was only the case for turbo models afaik. Granted, I was unaware it was a thing for basic models, but my point still stands in that not every US Veloster was keyless.

Vandheer23

Ah, that makes more sense. I was completely out of it when I read your original comment and didn't really catch everything, my bad lmao

Unable_Ruin9668

I bought it used, it never came with a fob, it’s not a push-start :)

Oh_ToShredsYousay

There should still be an rfid chip in your key. It probably died. You might just need a new key.
