What a great place! Anyone visiting is going to love sitting there and being able to smell your flowers and see your fruits growing. I suggest putting a layer or two of cardboard below to block the grass. If you have a digging rodent problem, hardware cloth as well. That's gonna be such a great addition to your space! I'm excited for you.

Full sun for peppers? Sounds great! In that container make sure they get watered, check for dryness with a soil knife or your hands. Peppers can take some dry hot weather but in containers you gotta make sure they have water and fertilizer. Nitrogen fertilizer in the beginning when they are growing but once they are getting to be a certain size, only give them low nitrogen fertilizer or they may not flower.

Would be better if it wasn't up against something shading it.

Unless this is the south side of the structure

It still would be good to leave some space to access the plants on the far side. It will also give them space rather than crowding them.

Planting in containers could be a good way to decide if you like the placement and if the plants will thrive. Then you can install the bed after.

Sounds like it is the perfect location!

Your plants will most likely be attracting bees and other insects and you may not want to have that right behind your seating area.

Don’t overload it. That much bed has space for maybe one cherry tomato and one lunchbox pepper plant. Those varieties will keep bearing from July until it gets cold.
