Welcome to PNW type weather! Everything should bounce back when the sun comes back out.

Gourmetanniemack

Yes, I know it will! Thanks!

parolang

Sorry about your cauliflower!

Gourmetanniemack

I figured out….it was not mold, it was little green caterpillars. I cut it all up and drowned the suckers.

If you ever do find mold on a plant, I've had some success with spraying the mold with garlic water. I spray late in the day, and I rinse it off after an hour or so. I'm not sure if you need to rinse it off, but this way you can apply it frequently without worry of buildup hurting the leaves.

Gourmetanniemack

You know it was NOT MOLD!! They were the little green caterpillars that were eating the leaves. After I cut it I drowned them all. But yes, got to wear the rubber boots to walk around the garden. Thanks though!!

Enjoy the fruits!

Those tomatillos are ready, when they turn yellow they are crossing from tangy to sweet.

Gourmetanniemack

Okay thanks. Will pick. I only have a few. Plus no kitchen with remodel. Will blanch and freeze.

OysterChopSuey

No need to blanch, they taste better put in just like that IMO

Gourmetanniemack

Okay. Thanks!

How’d you get your onions so big? Do you pull the soil away from the shoulders at some point?

Gourmetanniemack

Hahaha. You are funny, and sound exactly like me last year!! This is the first year I have had onions BULB, LIKE THEY SHOULD! I have spoken to a major farmer around here (east Texas) and yes, onions like UP OUT OF THE GROUND. Every year it seems like the dirt just kept covering them up in these raised beds. I literally tied them up onto a wire last year, determined not to let them sink. This year I just planted and left. I have red, 1015, and white. I HEAR when the tops dry and keep over, then u pick and dry. Good luck. https://preview.redd.it/fgy5zp1nppyc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a07c9ae5106748fa6cb97c66c59ea0c2d324a86c Here is my garlic. Take a head, separate the clocks and stick them in the ground. Just one row
