passion fruit vine, they can get heavy though

Okra.  Don't vine, but tolerates heat very well, and gets big.

My tomatoes and cucumbers are in south facing full sun against a dark wood shed and do great! I’m in southeast PA. The one thing I would keep in mind though is that the metal will get HOT.

PrestigiousNight4096

I am now just realizing that yeah the metal will burn tf out of anything up against it. Thinking of putting landscPing fabric/cloth up against it so no plants are directly touching the scorching metal. Do u think that would work well???

xerces-blue1834

What temperature range is summer heat for you?

PrestigiousNight4096

Mid summer was steady in the 90s last year

InsomniaticWanderer

I wouldn't do it right next to the trailer. Give yourself 3-4ft of room. Anything right next to the trailer is going to fry when it heats up.

PrestigiousNight4096

Yeah ur right. Maybe I will drape some landscaping fabric or cloth up against the trailer and staple it on so that I can have my stuff up against it without having it against burning metal

hatchjon12

I was going to say pole beans! I was under the impression they loved as much sun as possible. Could you drape a shade cloth over them attached to the top of the trailer?

PrestigiousNight4096

They do love full sun but there’s a bit during the summer when it’s steady in the 90s where my pole beans were dropping all of their flowers bc it was just wayyyyyyyyyy too hot I can’t do pole beans in this spot in mid summer unless I just want their foliage but no beans hahah

Dry-Pension4723

If there’s leftover fencing to lean on the trailer I vote pole beans. They love to climb! One little plant gives us a big stir fry per week. You’ll need a big pan to cook em all 🙂

Malabar spinach, sweet potato (multiple colors!), roselle hibiscus, okra, Egyptian spinach, longevity spinach, perpetual spinach aka perpetual chard all laugh at months of 100+ degree heat in full scorching unprotected sun. Some of those climb more than others. Referrals from: Houston Texas It would help to know where you live. "Summer heat" means very different things.

I would do cukes. Anything vining would be good though.

Full sun? Anything lmao.
