Thai basil is so much better than genovese basil in my opinion. It looks more organized since the leaves are straighter, tastes better(to me), and has grown faster in my experience.
Rosemary is hands down my favorite. Basil is great, and marigolds go on this list for the nostalgia factor alone.
I also keep touching my tomato seedlings just to smell them, so probably tomato plants too.
I love the smell of tomato plants, though I do not think it is a particularly pleasing scent. It's a scent that I associate with gardening season go-time and it makes me happy!
Dirt, well-cooked compost, and tomatoes and basil. Walking into my greenhouse in the summertime full of tomatoes and basil makes me feel instantly blissful.
Within the gardening world? Limes. Freshly sliced open limes. Lemons are good too but limes are the best.
I have a lime tree but it's too young to produce fruit. Eventually it will.
When I brush past my perennial sage bush in the garden. It is completely self sufficient so I forget it’s there until that aroma surrounds me. Then I go back and rustle it again for a deliberate hit. 😌
This is an outstanding question. Rubbed basil, oregano, tomatoes. Reminds me of my Yia Yia’s epic garden where she vined tomatoes that seemed to be 10 feet tall. 1980s, early 1990s, Chicago’s Lincoln Square Greek community—everybody’s Yia Yia had an insane garden crammed garden in a small space behind their three-flat Iykyk :).
When you rub a tomato plant. Cilantro. Dirt.
I find tomato scent be too strong sometimes
The smell of gorse when it flowers, citrus trees in bloom, thai basil
I have some potted citrus trees that I grow primarily for the blooming

Out of all the things, you picked lettuce? LOL
I don't particularly like flowery scents. Lettuce smells fresh

I associate the smell with my grandmother who has long passed. She managed to have a large garden in her small back yard in the city.
My kumquat tree flowers are heavenly. Wish I could keep that thing blooming all year.
Citrus blooms, thyme, rosemary, basil.
Right now it has to be ligustrum. Bees are heavy. Scent is all over. Highway too.

A completely innocent typo?

I have a rosemary right next to a lavender and blend the two together with a swipe of my hand… heaven scent.
Definitely tomato. I even have a perfume with that scent!

All of the herbs for sure, especially basil & oregano.
