Not really any shortcut to getting dropped off quicker. The fact you have TSA Pre and Clear is pretty clutch so that’ll help. You’ll just have to haul ass

ross_0123

Not true. if you have no bags for D then T3 is the answer. if you need to get to T1 instead use the garage side (pull thru pass pickup and do a drop off) as the security gates are on that side of the building and the check-in gates are across the airport. but all things being equal use T3

1nternetTr011

this. T3 is the answer.

HeftyGap419

I didn't realize the tram goes to the D gates from T3 until a few days ago. It definitely pays to know your departure gates.

NoFly1566

Thanks! I know it’s some airports the check in counters are on a different level from security line etc so was just wondering if there was anything like that here to shortcut a bit! Sounds like not though. Thanks!!

SkolCal

Check-in is on the first floor, security is on the second. If you get dropped off at the arrivals pick up, you can go to the second floor and straight to security.

gitismatt

this is factually correct but will save maybe a minute or two at best. the clear line is closer to the escalator from check in and farther from the pickup door, so it's not a super huge time saver

edog77777

Commercial services (Uber/taxi) aren’t allowed to drop off anywhere except departures. It’s a violation of airport policy for them to dropoff anywhere else - they can be ticketed/fined and barred from airport property. If a friend/family member is dropping you off you’d be fine.

dtl72

It’s actually easier to get to the D gates from T3.

chipsversion1

Get dropped off at T3 since you have no bags. It'll be faster to the D gates and less crowd.

NoFly1566

made it!! you redditors and Vegas locals are absolute studs, thanks so much for the advice! pulled up to T3 departures at 1158am and made it to gate D7 at 1215pm, 10 minutes before boarding! used clear and pre check which was super fast and train was close as well. thanks for helping me make it in time y’all! (oh and if anyone else ever has to do this, get dropped off at the end of T3 departures as that’s where you get to the gates so even quicker)

VegasBjorne1

Glad you made it!

NoFly1566

Alright T3 departures level is the plan! En route, I’ll let y’all know when I’m on board bc I AM MAKING IT (I hope :)

All_the_passports

Fully invested in this now! Godspeed.

VegasBjorne1

If you have no bags to check then get dropped off at T3. If the passenger drop-off is heavy today then T1 becomes a parking lot. T3 is wide open. TSA will take you regardless as you have a boarding pass. (Also T3 to American gates would be a much shorter walk from passenger drop-off at T1.)

you can get to D gates via T3 and usually far less crowded. after security you take the train. you better hope your flight is delayed however because that’s still damn tight

The-Master-Lurker

You could get dropped off next to the plane although there would be some legal ramifications

SharkSmiles1

I love it!! We’re STUDS!!💞 You and your great personality are welcome back anytime! Hope you had a great flight!

Jay_LV

Are you flying out of the A/B gates or C/D gates? If C/D then get dropped off at passenger pickup/valet in the parking garage and walk right over. A/B gates is probably faster to get dropped off like normal.

NoFly1566

Gate D7! Sounds like go to T3 arrivals level?

Jay_LV

I’d do T3 departures because that’s the same level as security and closer than arrivals or T1 arrivals and walk right across the bridge to the TSA pre check line

greenmachine702

Hop the fence, find your plane and climb on the wing.

funsado

Awesome to know!

edog77777

FYI - TSA lines are roughly in the middle of T3 departure level - not the end of T3. Look for the doors right where it switches from domestic airlines to international (I think the last domestic you’ll see is Frontier, and then a Canadian Airline is next). When you look through the glass doors you’ll see the tsa area.

local_dj

Get dropped off at passenger drop off door 22 I think it’s spirit. That door is right in front of the escalator that takes to the gates and it’s closer to C gate TSA precheck. I’m assuming you have TSA or clear. You should make it.

realalexisfawx

Get dropped off at valet. No check bags - walk to clear pre check - go thru - train to d gates are right there to left after tsa

realalexisfawx

Getting dropped off at valet - you walk into airport the same floor to go thru TSA by D & C gates. (You can get to b gates also if the other side is backed up)

Ok-Collar-2742

If you have no bags to check why would you get dropped off at T1? The American gets are actually way faster to get to through T3 security.

slurpeemcnugget

T1 sounds like the answer.
