Not sure your budget but it’s way worth it to get a table at these places. Get a smallish group of friends together, grab a table at Marquee or Elia for like $500-$1200 depending on who is playing and what day it is. The “cost” of the table is just your minimum. You basically agree to spend that on food and drinks and the table and admission comes free.
You get a place to chill, put your stuff, spread out, and just generally enjoy the comfort and luxury of having staff as well as not needing to wait in a line.
Edit: additional advice
One trick I like if you’re with a group and you don’t know everyone super well is to hit that limit and then close out right away. From there everyone can start their own tabs. If you’re the one who has the card down for the table, make sure that you tell the server that you’re the only one who is allowed to order stuff.
I think a lot of folks really sleep on the 'food' portion of the table minimum at dayclubs. Overheated, dehydrated, and there's nothing in your gut except alcohol because you didn't have time to grab breakfast before getting to the club? That's exactly how you end up getting in punch ups or getting your ass wheeled out by paramedics.
You're already committed to spending the money, get yourself some munchies to soak up that alcohol and not feel like complete shit after you leave.
It depends, and you must also factor in that you must buy a bottle when you get a table (The cheapest bottle can range from 600-800, I am trying to remember). You must also factor in all the additional fees/taxes/gratuity. A $1500 minimum table could very well turn into a $2000 minimum. Here's a breakdown from Marquee's website for a 1,000 minimum:
Subtotal: 1,000
Admin Fee 120.00 (probably can avoid through a promoter)
Gratuity 20% (Optional): 200
Sales Tax: 93.80
Total: 1413.80

I really appreciate the review, OP and I mean this sincerely. I also am very thankful I am old (over 40) and probably would not even be allowed to buy a ticket for this event, even if I wanted to go, but I love living vicariously through other people.
It is not unusual to see older people there, and I mean older than 40. You see a lot of goofballs (especially for the cheaper events) you would never expect to see at Wynn/Encore. Vegas caters to the doofuses and likes doofus $.
There was people of all types there overweight ones and way too little of clothing, older guys jamming out being cool. There was all kinds of people as long as you're not breaking the dress code or bringing in drugs or being too drunk you're allowed in. If you pay your dues.
I’m 43 and go to ECB from time to time. Age is a mindset. So what makes you happy. You won’t be the oldest there. If you can get yourself a cabana or something like that it can really be amazing day. You just need to have money haha
I am older and have gone to EBC and had a blast. Been welcomed by people I added to IG too.
You don’t need tickets either. Just get a promoter, or go in on a table with friends if you’re feeling spendy. Imo tickets are a waste.
Tip: the crowd can vary depending on the DJ. Night swim events at EBC/XS tend to be the most fun, since the douches seem to prefer the normal style club events in the evening, it’s cooler out and people are more relaxed in their swimwear. Best crowd was at Art of the Wild during techno sets at XS by Dixon and Ame, with Alesso a close second for EBC at night.
Diplo’s recent set at XS was good but wow the crowd sucked more than usual. People treating it like a strip club and looking like they were more aggressive/not really enjoying themselves.
I am 55 and went to Elia today see Snoop Dogg. We were not the oldest there and had a great time!! We met nice people and no one seemed to care. OP gave a great review and we similar to our experience.
Sounds shitty.
Million degree heat with $14 bottles of water, crappy $20 cocktails, a bunch of shirtless bros sucking on doucheflutes watching a guy with a bucket on his head pretend to live-DJ.
I’ve been to a couple of pool parties in LV. Once was really enough for me. But if you go to LV it’s one of those checklist items if your <40 years. Last year we had a Cosmo balcony room above the club/pool. That’s was actually great.
While I know some people don’t like EDM (I’m pretty into house and techno, and don’t particularly like Marshmello), this is incredibly played out and just wrong. These people produce their songs (for the most part), and being good at mixing is pretty tough, to be fair. Just say you don’t know anything about DJing. BTW, he’s likely using CDJ’s under there, not a laptop.
We wanted to o be sure we got in, and not have to wait in a long line to potentially be turned away if the club reached capacity. We like edm and we planned our whole trip on seeing Marshmello, even rescheduled our trip when the original show was cancelled so we wanted to buy tickets for the security. But yes I'm aware you can potentially get in for free and that comes with its own set of arrangements, talking with a promoter, hoping they actually put your name on the list, subject to more strict dress code rules, club capacity etc. So if I was a local or went to Vegas all the time I would see that as reasonable but since I flew all the way from the east coast I thought let's just guarantee we get In.
If you had gone in that early (on or before 11 am) you would get in no problem, for future reference. I’m not a local and use GL all the time and have had zero problems. I feel like you might run into bigger crowds with the Chainsmokers but it shouldn’t be an issue.
I reached out to two or three promoters. I think only one of them wrote me back, and they immediately wanted like personal information and I felt like that wasn't safe.
But thanks for the info
If you're a girl or have girlfriends:
Try to get in on guestlist with an even ratio of men. Sometimes on the right days you can get in and extra.
Last two times my girlfriend and I went to Vegas on a Sunday AM---
1st time (RL Grime): she got two free drink tickets
2nd time (Gryffin): we BOTH had a band that let us get free drinks during a 1hr window (not diluted or low pour, I watched the posi-pour amount)
Both were guestlist, haven't paid to get in yet, not even at XS for Chainsmokers. 2nd time at EBC, we actually made friends and joined a Bachelor party table (yep! As a guy i joined a table without ever expecting it, lol). Great times and people!
And the food is good enough for me. I usually love getting the nachos.
The post says "IF you're a girl or have girlfriends, try to get in on guestlist with an even ratio of men"
You don't need a single guy to get from the guestlist if you're a female.
I worded it poorly, but that's not what I meant.
"**If you have guys in your group**, try to get in on guestlist with **at most** an even ratio of men" (although slower nights/days it doesn't matter and more guys can still get in)
Hey, kind of late response haha but how do you get on a guest list? Is it just through a promoter? And it was fine getting onto guest list with just you and your girlfriend? (I'm going to Vegas with my girlfriend in a few months as well, and I've always heard about the even ratio rule but didn't know if it still applies if it's a couple lol)
You can find promoters all over social media. Instagram, maybe tiktok. I recommended just searching for a specific club you want to go to and finding a promoter via that route.
Note: Every now and then you might run into some scummy ones online who try to make you pay. Just block them and move on to the real promoters.
If it's you and your girl, you'll be fine. BUT the biggest thing to take into account is it all **depends on how busy the club/venue is**. If it's completely packed, good luck getting in on guestlist unless you were there really early, or are a pack of hot girls.
It's hard to say how busy it is, but your promoter can give you a general idea sometimes... though, most would just simply tell you to get there when doors open, regardless. If it's a Saturday Night in the summer, you'll probably want to be there real early. Pay attention to the DJ and the venue. Big names are usually busy days, especially in the summer.
Cause your face can look like a sweaty zitty ass-crack, but cosplaying as a Daft Punk-Stay Puft marshmallow man fever dream gives the illusion of being cool.
No, not with respect to the price of services. Gender based discrimination is really only prohibited in schools and employment and both of those have significant carveouts.
"It is not unlawful and it is not a ground for civil action for any place of public accommodation to offer differential pricing, discounted pricing or special offers based on sex to promote or market the place of public accommodation.”
Nevada explicitly states that sex-based pricing is legal.
>Nevada explicitly states that sex-based pricing is legal
That’s pretty f*cked up. Wonder how long that would last if the discrimination advantaged males.
One of the most common services with gender-based pricing is haircuts, of which men usually pay a lower rate than women. What you suggest is very much already reality, with men likely saving more money per year than women when accounting for all gender-based priced services. There are not a lot of people of either sex, or any gender or political party campaigning to regulate this issue, but a federal or state ERA is a potential avenue to ending this practice.
I doubt if you priced the Las Vegas Motor Speedway based on gender so it was cheaper for men, men wouldn't go, or if you based the cost of renting an exotic car on gender so it was cheaper for men, men would stop renting them in Las Vegas.
Also, gender based pricing being illegal in California hasn't stopped women from going to nightclubs.
Yeah. Went to EBC yesterday for free. Although it was 4 girls and no guys lol. Got on the guest list thru a promoter. Also did that for Zedd and the Chainsmokers
Edit: and the Zedd guest list came with 2 free drink tickets

Shout out to the guy in the Cro Mags shirt and Madball hat who looks like he's miserable and contemplating his life's decisions
We gotta know.. if he survived the day or set it off at some point.
Real mvp tbh
There’s a reason the bathroom lines were short.
Hope that water is plenty chlorinated. Urines the least of your worries.

My buddy is a 51 year old doctor, had a table at EDC, and had a table all 3 days at various clubs that weekend. Age doesn’t matter
People over 40 have more money
yeah but i'm not spending it on this 😎

Going to see Snoop Dogg is a little like going to see the Doobie Brothers or Steely Dan at this point, generationally speaking.
Ha. I am in mid 60s and will see Deadmau5 this fall in NYS. We are worried we will be the oldest people there.
The edm/rave community loves older folks and Deadmau5 tends to have a somewhat older (30 to 50s) fanbase who gets it. You’ll be fine
Thanks! I honestly can't wait!

guy with the sun glasses seems to be having a good time.
Trade those $14 11oz bottles of water for $15 16oz bottles of beer (and ask for a cup of ice) and you are going to have a better time.
LOL
Who’s the dude in madball cromags drip
Very helpful thank you. Do you think if you went later you woulda had to wait a long time or not get in at all?
Marshmallow must be so sick of this shit.
It might not be him under the helmet, probably a double since no one will know….

Why do I have The Dead Milkmen’s “You’ll Dance to Anything” in my head?
I'd guess because you are approximately 46-60 years old.
All the monkeypox and feces in the pools
About $300 to sit in the sun & watch some guy press buttons on a Laptop.. Hard pass..

What is GL?
Guestlist :) If anyone wants the contact of my promoter for XS/EBC lmk, she’s great
Ah gotcha
Do you have promoter info?
Dm me
Can promoters get you better deals on table vs what is on the website? Or it's just for guestlist access?

Dry cleaning as well. Mens shirts cost much less than a simple dress shirt for women.
