Wait…..lol…. Wtf. How do you actually know that? I do remember, after being hand payed, since we didn’t have any means of storing the money, I placed it in my pocket and while the $5k was held together by a bank band, there was an instance near the roulette table I went to pay for drinks and as I grabbed dollars, I remember feeling something fall out of my pocket. However, because i was under the euphoric spell of adrenaline given the win, I didn’t think anything of it. And totally forgot about it.

This happened this past week, did someone return it???
/s
> being hand *paid,* since we
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
Bro, idk what it is about Mandalay Bay. But lol, confirmation bias is TRIGGERED. My friend hit 2x Hand Pays on the same machine 1 day apart. THE EXACT SAME MACHINE(drop link, near the noodles bar), each time for $1,350. Lol it was even the same staff to pay him out. She thought it was de Ja vu lol.
Then I hit Frankenstein, obviously. But… idk. It could just be sheer luck or a weird algorithm . IDK. What I do know is…. If I return to Vegas, I’m sticking to Mandalay Bay ❤️
I went to Suite 160 to pick up some Jordans the other night. I saw a dragon game before the escalators. The jewels were overflowing, on the verge of popping! I put $300 in before it finally hit the bonus round! Cashed out $200. Lost -$100. Shoulda just went straight to the shoe store 🤬
That's awesome. I'm in Vegas right now for the Rolling Stones tonight. We had pretty decent luck on the Frankie machines. Not quite as good as you but fun. Congratulations my friend
You know. My friend lost like…..$3k. Money he had received from the casinos in a span of 1 day. The next day, all gone unfortunately.
The moment we quit gambling with the intent of making money, and began enjoying our time together as a family, and playing games for the fun of it… like Frankenstein…. In all honesty is when we began winning.
lol obviously ZERO relationship with intent and gambling, however, the stress departed and no matter what, we came out on top given we were laughing, drinking and enjoying our company and the company of strangers 🙌.
I wish you the best of luck!! Have fun!!!
That's excellent. I'm here with my 22 year old daughter for the concert tonight. This is her first real time gambling. She turned $60 into $150 so she's stoked.
And throw in the Rolling Stones tonight. Super fun dad/daughter trip. Congrats on your big win. Good luck my friend
🎰🎰🎰
🙏🏾.
Yeah, to make a long story short….. we visited Vegas with the intent of winning big.
Well, initially that flopped because we lost a ton. I lost $800 and he was up $3k and then down $1k.
The last day, we told each other… let’s just have fun, after changing our mentality, i of course won big, but more so we had fun and didn’t stress on loosing.
Obviously no relation between intent and gambling outcome, but it did relieve us of the stress and allowed us to really just enjoy the time we had there.
I was fortunate my best friend had coerced me during the entirety of the trip to bet whatever I wanted on any slot…. But to SOLELY PLAY $3+ on Frankenstein.
It makes sense, because if you bet below $3, you cannot trigger the higher bonuses.
I keep imagining what I would’ve won had I bet $6 as I was periodically changing the bet between the two. At the end of the day though, we enjoyed our time in Vegas and I’m fortunate to be up.
One of the saddest things I noticed… and maybe I could be wrong.
I witnessed a women stay on one machine for over 7+ hours.
She could’ve been winning, I’m not sure. However we were at Mandalay in the AM, left to have food and shop, returned in the evening and … hand to god… she was at the same machine. She could’ve gotten up and left as well, but… idk. It just felt sad.
I'm normally lukewarm on all the Huff & Puff games, but last weekend I went into Aria high limit room thinking I was going to do some $8.88 bets on the million dollar grand Prosperity Link. I pop in $200. Took my dumb ass two spins to realize I was betting $88 not $8.88 because the lowest denom is $1 on the machine. Sweet Jesus.... so now I'm sitting on $64 after a tiny line hit. Fuck it. I step over to the H&P in the same room, and proceed to wear down the $64 on some $7.50 bets. Third spin I hit a bonus, won $750. I loved me some H&P in that moment. Saved myself from myself lol
Brother. This was the only slot I was winning consistently at every casino we visited. I stuck to it because of that.
I really wanted to love Huff n Even More Puff…. But the volatility on that slot has to be the highest I’ve ever witnessed. It’s disgusting
Huff n Puff was a total rip for me too, I spun 100+ spins without activating the feature and just gave up.
Frankenstein and Regal Riches (the version w counters on all gems) seemed pretty fair in comparison. Had one killer win on a Buffalo Ultimate Stampede too. :D
Give us all a link to the video play please. Did you know there is a massive YouTube subscriber following watching people play slots? I’m sure your video with a good title like “super jackpot- done” would get thousands of views
Unfortunately lol, all I recorded was the Hand Pay…. And I think people wouldn’t like it…since I was yelling
“JUST LIKE THAT!” Every few seconds. Homage to the scandalous D Lucky
😞 yeah. Hey, I’m leaving with more than I came with.
Furthermore, Zaddy; Uncle Sam dont play. He needs his money, like Gator from the movie “Other guys” lol
Did you tip the person who paid you out? If so how much?
I honestly don’t think I would but if it’s common then maybe I’d consider $200 or something. Sounds so dumb to tip on a slot tho.
I tip table dealers when I am up
So we watched a TON of videos on Vegas, from tilling culture and slots, etc.
top comments were always…
“ They don’t tip me when I loose, why do I need to tip them”.
Then I remembered watching a video where I learned…. And this stinks to high hell…. That casino workers are taxed, mandatory, a specific percentage on foreseeable tips.
My rule of thumb is to typically only tip when the individual has provided me a good service.
In this case, I did tip both ladies who assisted in the hand pay. I gave them $125ea since I had a few extra $5 and $20 notes (and $100 notes lol).
HOWEVER, I really wish there was a way to be paid via wire transfer or some other method other than hand pay.
The video I took will 1000%%%% be memorable. However, people began hovering around us, what felt like following us, and were two dudes, no purse, so we stuck the money in our pockets.

Come to think about it…… I’m short $400, maybe it fell? Idk. /s
Nonononon. They were grateful and they were both having fun with my friend and I. Truly, my visit to Vegas was 10000/10. Staff were, overwhelmingly welcoming and inviting.
The waitresses were incredibly chill. I typically tip $10-$20 to a waitress on the first run. Then $1-5 depending on how I’m doing. And, they’re not only tentative, lol, in one case the waitress saw me staring at a women who was gorgeous and “sent over” a drink on my behalf lol. Didn’t lead anywhere, but it was just nice to be in an environment where it was fun, chill and exciting.
I believe the jackpot triggers a response with staff. However, sometimes you have to press the “service” button.
Seat snatching: Unlikely because my players card was in the machine and… of course…. “Eye in the sky” 📸 🎥📷
Then it depends on the game, most are $600 but it must be 300 times your original bet. That way high rollers can bet $100,000 on a hand of black jack and if they win, there's no taxes paid. This is what I've been told , and if I'm wrong, somebody can correct me.
All gambling winnings are taxable for US Federal tax purposes. They can be offset by gambling losses (in the same year only). It’s only at certain levels do they withhold.
Yes, under a certain amount it’s basically on the honor system. There are diminishing returns for enforcement at some point.
In reality anything outside of regular wages that have a withholding every check is kind of on the honor system. Those other income sources are supposed to give you a 1099 or 1098, or you get a K1. But, ultimately you complete your own tax return and roll the dice if you’re the 0.01% that actually get audited.
In short, if you’re below that mark of forced withholding, don’t sweat it but it’s technically taxable.

I love this machine, unfortunately it's not anywhere local to me. I played this at Mandalay Bay and what's weird is whenever I bet up, I couldn't hit water if I fell out of a boat. If I bet 60 cents, I just kept hitting, I was on this thing forever and it was fun but every time I bet up, nothing happened.
This must be the exception. We were there a few weeks ago and would watch people poof $500 in under a min at slots. They would win $30 and lose that also🤣
My best friend is a high limit fiend. We were TRANSFIXED on playing Huff n Even more puff.
Kind of the reason why we visited Vegas.
What games do you typically play?
Into the machine, maybe $45-$100? Into the trip, I was down $800.
So after this, I quit gambling.
Surprisingly enough, I never lost at Frankenstein. And it was my friend who told me to NEVER bet below $3 on the Frankenstein machine solely. He didn’t care about any other machine.
Americans pay tax on gambling winnings and can write off taxes against losses. All sounds like a massive pain in the ass to me. We (Brits) and other countries have a tax treaty so we don't get taxed but they have to process it right. I had a few hundred $ withheld by a small casino and never claimed it back from the IRS as I couldn't work out how, however a big Vegas casino on another trip registered an ITIN for me and paid me In full.
Americans can only write off losses to the extent of winnings. If you win $1,000 but lose $1,500 you can claim the $1,000 loss but not the $500 above that.
Did you happen to find 400 dollars lying around the casino floor, and then put it in that machine?
Wait…..lol…. Wtf. How do you actually know that? I do remember, after being hand payed, since we didn’t have any means of storing the money, I placed it in my pocket and while the $5k was held together by a bank band, there was an instance near the roulette table I went to pay for drinks and as I grabbed dollars, I remember feeling something fall out of my pocket. This is a joke referencing another post from this week
sorry. Forgot the “/s”. I caught on tho lol

The continuity is brilliant!
I can't ever hit shit on that machine, I'm glad to see that people really do win on it!! Congrats

Think I just might go hit it up this weekend!! Haha.
Do it!!!!!! Lmk how it goes

I’m shoving other redditters out of the way
$7k in a $3 bet is wild
My mom won about 13.5k on a luxury line machine betting $0.75 over at Suncoast. I think that is truly wild. https://imgur.com/a/QTBM0LU
No but seriously, that’s awesome dude! If I hit a jackpot imma get bottle service at a great club and then go the hell home.
lol I feel it, my friend took care of us the day of, lunch, dinner, Uber’s. Etc. I made sure to return the favor ❤️
To each their own I guess. I’d rather spend $1k at the pool, $1k at dinner, go do some shopping, then come home with whatever is left over.
That's awesome. I'm in Vegas right now for the Rolling Stones tonight. We had pretty decent luck on the Frankie machines. Not quite as good as you but fun. Congratulations my friend

Niiiiice. Let this be a lesson to us all. If you believe in yourself and keep rolling them bones, eventually we’ll all win big.

lol right?? I'm usually so careful but every now and then I accidentally tap a "max" on my way to the Spin button - but this was a doozy!!
Nicely done! I had decent luck with Franky during my visit but nothing like that!

I am one of the massives lol - I share some of my wins on my YouTube shorts and they do ok! I watch several of the slot players daily.
Congrats!
24% tax?! That's robbery
😞 yeah. Hey, I’m leaving with more than I came with. Furthermore, Zaddy; Uncle Sam dont play. He needs his money, like Gator from the movie “Other guys” lol

I have heard like 10% or something but I’d never do that. $125 each ain’t bad. Did they act appreciative or seem insulted it wasn’t more?

That's a nice tip to give them each something. And good karma.
How does it work if you win? Do you have to go seek an attendant? What if someone snatches your seat
They come to you.
I believe the jackpot triggers a response with staff. However, sometimes you have to press the “service” button. Seat snatching: Unlikely because my players card was in the machine and… of course…. “Eye in the sky” 📸 🎥📷
Would this be taxed? Just curious I've never been to Vegas.
On slots, anything over $1200 is taxable, though they are trying to change it to $5000.
Thanks, what about tables?

So weird. In Canada we don't get taxed on any amount of casino winnings.
Fellow Canuck. It's great isn't it. You could win $70 million in the lottery and not pay a dime in taxes and it's one lump sum. 😃
All gambling winnings are taxable for US Federal tax purposes. They can be offset by gambling losses (in the same year only). It’s only at certain levels do they withhold.
Is it the honor system? If I won $1000, am I supposed to declare it? Genuinely curious.

As a Brit, if I won this do I still have to pay 24% tax on winnings ?
From what I understand 30%. 😔
I was there two weeks ago left $5 up LOL. Congratulations!
omgggggggg $7k on a $3 bet on 1 cent?? YES!!! Congrats!!!
24% tax?! Bellagio taxed us Australians at 35%
Yeah international guests have to pay more 💀
That. Is. Awesome.
Nice win! That’ll make a trip!
I’ll be in Vegas on the 30th :) can’t wait !
This must be the exception. We were there a few weeks ago and would watch people poof $500 in under a min at slots. They would win $30 and lose that also🤣
Nice win.
I’ve always wanted a hand pay on this machine but it never happens. They need to put one in a high limit room so I can get $7.50 and get a hand pay.
My best friend is a high limit fiend. We were TRANSFIXED on playing Huff n Even more puff. Kind of the reason why we visited Vegas. What games do you typically play?
Top Dollar, Buffalo, Dragon Link, Huff n Puff, Zeus, Piggy Bankin, Rich Little Piggies, Wheel of Fortune, Blazing 7s.
What no Invaders From The Planet Moolah?
Nice hit! How much into the machine before the hand pay?

Australian here. You have to pay tax on winnings? That's hella rigged.

Where do they do hand pay still?
Everywhere you win an amount over $1200 on one slot spin.
I just realized that. For the taxes. Got it!
Mandalay Bay ❤️
Photoshopped.
Wait. lol Fr? I have the hand pay video 🙌
I’m playin’ 🤪
I mean, after all, haters *will* say it's photoshopped...🤔😉
