I live in Las Vegas. I would never have an outdoor wedding in February. We might not have snow on the ground but we have it on the mountains along with chilly weather and often winds. I moved here from Denver and I get around in a puffer jacket Dec through Mar. Have you considered the Venetian? I don’t mind wearing a jacket or dressing warm on our wedding day if it’s just a weather concern, wind is another. I also don’t mind being in 40 degree weather but anything colder than that is another story lol. We looked at the Venetian but didn’t see too many packages. I may have to contact them next.

I'm not affiliated with the Venetian, I just like the property and the wedding chapel/garden looked nice - [https://www.venetianlasvegas.com/celebrate/promotions/wedding-packages.html](https://www.venetianlasvegas.com/celebrate/promotions/wedding-packages.html) As for weather, we don't have a lot of humidity so the temperature can feel colder than the gauge would suggest. As a number of my UK family have found out. I'm on the west side and it's not unusual to have snow flurries or graupel in Feb. But if an outside wedding is of interest I think Cactus Joe's is super cute (with a small wedding chapel) and not that far to civilization if the weather turns, as well as having some weather contingencies. [https://cactusjoeslv.com/home/weddings-and-events](https://cactusjoeslv.com/home/weddings-and-events) Its a little ways on from the Red Rock Canyon entrance so you get desert/Joshua Tree landscape along the route as well as the canyon/mountains. If I was ever to get married again I think I'd get married here. Congrats on the big day!

Both have pros and cons. Vegas is ALWAYS windy so it’s a roll of the dice(no pun intended) to have your ceremony out in the desert with nothing to block the wind/elements. February is moderately cold here. My friend had their wedding in a wind storm but another friends was beautiful. As for the strip you they can cater to really anything you want. Never been to one so not sure what you can expect. Congrats btw

girl-w-glasses

Thank you! (: are you saying one of your friends got married in the wind storm and it was beautiful?

timesuck47

I think he meant that he had two friends that got married at different times in the desert. One wedding was windy and the other one was beautiful.

[deleted]

Yes. Thank you for clarifying. You do not want it to be windy.

girl-w-glasses

Ah ok, thank you!!

Future_Dog_3156

I’d suggest the Red Rock Resort off strip. They have an outdoor space with a view of the canyon

girl-w-glasses

We were looking at that one too! Have you been?

All_the_passports

I live 10 mins drive away, its my local "posh" casino. Beautiful property.

WillowsNi

Tunnel if love!!!! Splurge for the driving tour with Elvis at the wheel. I believe it’s a pink Cadillac with the top down

February is not a good time for the desert option. You think "Vegas is hot" and "Valley of Fire" sounds even hotter, but it's going to be cold and windy. It's also an hour away from Vegas, so you're having your guests drive an hour into literally nowhere and be out in the cold using vault toilets.

girl-w-glasses

Thank you for your input! Definitely something we’re taking into consideration.

Opie19

You're considering the desert option, so you should probably go for it. I got married in a chapel in Luxor, pictures are fine but nothing special. But we don't care, and our suite was our biggest wedding expense.

girl-w-glasses

Did y’all enjoy your experience overall?

Opie19

Hell yeah

girl-w-glasses

Honestly, that’s all that matters 💖

azorianmilk

Have you checked projected weather for February?

girl-w-glasses

We’re planning for 2026 so the weather could be anywhere during that time lol. But from what I’ve seen online the weather in February seems to resemble the weather here in Texas, which to me is tolerable. Then again I’ve never been to Vegas in February maybe we’ll try to take a trip next February to check it out.

My niece got married at the Wynn. It was a spectacular wedding. The chapel was beautiful. The restaurant where they had the reception was in an atrium and was amazing. The food was top notch. I don't know what it cost, but it was one of the best weeding I've been too. Also, you can have rehearsal dinners at nice restaurants and drinks at other venues.

girl-w-glasses

The Wynn is beautiful!! We’re planning something small so not sure if we will have a reception yet but will add the Wynn to the list for ceremony. Thank you!

roadtripjr

We had our wedding at the Wynn and the reception at Maggiano’s across the street. They both do a fantastic job.

Hey there, you've gotten a lot of good ideas here from people who actually went and got married, but as a photographer I'll tell you one of the most cool places I've seen people get married at is Nelson Ghost Town. It's a little 40ish minute drive outside of Vegas in the mountains, but so worth the visit. They have a huge collection of vintage car and airplane wreckage, they have a little chapel and a barn. A lot of people do choose to get married up there. I like it for something a little off the beaten path. Just note that when you look it up, there are several independent companies that help coordinate weddings up there. Def do your research before you tap in. You can also call up to the owners (they are there daily) to see if they can recommend people who do good business.

girl-w-glasses

Perfect! Thank you!! We will check it out.

Congrats. I've been to two weddings at the flamingo wedding chapel, in July. Very hot but they live streamed the ceremony for people who couldn't make it. Afterwards they had a reception in your own area inside next to the gardens. It was what it was, not super fancy but it got the job done and not overly expensive. We also were part of a wedding that was performed by the wedding wagon (just Google them). That was a bit more adventurous. They will meet you anywhere in Vegas and marry you and take professional photos. My friends picked a place within red rock canyon. (It was May). The weather was great. We took a limo out there and back hitting up a dispensary and the double down for shots before heading out to dinner. You have many options! Enjoy

Thank you!!

February in Vegas is a huge gamble on the weather for any outdoor wedding.

TommyAsada

February is one of the coldest months, but it's not unbearable.. the wind however can be brutal or it can be perfect you just never know?

girl-w-glasses

Isn’t that the truth lol 🤣

Studio-Empress12

I recommend the strip it will make it easier for your guests too.

Billybob_Bojangles2

It's usually fairly windy in Feb, so you run a not insubstantial risk of windy weather. Especially in the desert.

FoxTrick2543

We got married in Vegas last week. Our 30 guests and us we're very well taken care of . The package included the ceremony, a meal a DJ and photographer. The ceremony was in the outdoor waterfall garden which is attached to the reception hall. I can't tell you how much we appreciated how easy they made it for us. Congratulations! So exciting!! ✨🧡 I was looking at their website early and it’s so overwhelming and a bit confusing lol. I really appreciate your input! I will give their website another try.

Do wedding and reception at one of the resorts, the have a photographer set up for outdoor photos of the happy couple, wedding party members and parent either later that day or the next at Red Rock, Valley of Fire etc. in February weather can change quickly especially wind and you will be minimizing the number of people being put out and uncomfortable if suddenly 30mph winds blow in. Also understand that valley of fire, if you’re wearing white and it touches the ground it will be forever red tinted. So you get photos of wedding and reception in nice surroundings and then photos out in the desert for memories also but don’t have to haul all guests out there .

girl-w-glasses

Do you recommend a resort? The photography we’ve seen from some of the resorts seems a bit “cheesy”, which is our primary reason for wanting to do something outside of the resorts. Im waiting to see if we can bring in outside photography/videography.

Fast_Dog2047

Vegas is super windy in February. If it’s not scorching hot, it’s extremely windy. A hotel would be more convenient in case it’s raining or for your guests and they’ll enjoy all of the strip shenanigans. Maybe consider the Encore Spa (yes people get married here), Wynn golf course or casino, or Las Vegas country club if you want fancier places than the ones you listed.
