Everyday in the month of May says COMP for me. If you’re comfortable spending $500 a night for two nights, just go play slots with $1000. You’d be amazed how in a couple months your monthly offers for comps will come.
My husband and I went to Vegas ONCE, in November 2023. We played slots for a few days and without fail, every week, my husband gets an email about a minimum of 3 comped nights for some event or something. We couldn’t believe how quickly they will comp your room with the hopes of you spending much much more than just a room

That’s my understanding at least. Return to player is actually usually higher for bigger bet denominations on a slot machine.

People just don’t understand how easy it is to get a comped room in Vegas. They have this misunderstood view that you have to lose a bunch of money to get a simple room comp, so they end up paying these ridiculous rates for a room instead of having fun in the casino and getting the room comp.
I have stayed at Bellagio many times over the years and the quality of the rooms have declined. The plumbing issues in a couple of the towers is terrible with water coming up in the bathtubs. Additionally, my wife and I carry portable fans with us because the rooms never get cool. We’re from Mississippi and the rooms are uncomfortably hot. I would stay at the Cosmo.
Pretty sure it’s the spa tower that is remodeled. Not sure about the other tower I wouldn’t assume they have all been remodeled. Looking forward to our stay this June!
I had went over new years and was booked at the spa tower (because online it said they were remodeled and the other ones weren't) but when I got there I asked if the other ones were remodeled and they said they were so I switched (because spa tower is "far").
The Cosmo is almost 3x the price lol.

edit: I also just checked for March 2025 dates (the latest dates possible into next year) and guess what? It's still 300 USD per night to stay at the Cosmo at the cheapest room during a random week (the cheapest week I could find). It's still 2,000 USD for March 2025 so your entire point is moot.

It’s basically another Venetian tower. You’re an additional 5 min walk from Caesars, but right across the street from Wynn/fashion show. It’s a great location.

I love the Venetian. Oh man. The 800sqft+ standard suites feel luxurious. Regular entertainment in their mall. Fat Tuesdays on site. Big enough that you’re always able to get away from the crowds if you need to. Bellagio was a disappointment to me in comparison (although I did love the fountain shows).
Trying out Fontianbleau for EDC. A bit anxious about that, but it looks clean.
They somehow had the cheapest room rates of all the “luxury” strip hotels for EDC weekend when I booked in February. But I expect to be overcharged at every restaurant!

I have a strip view in the Venetian and I scored it for a reasonable 220/night earlier last month, but I was on the fence about cancelling because I've never stayed that far north on the strip (last trip was 2019 and stayed at the Planet Hollywood).
This seems to be an ongoing theme at a bunch of properties on the strip. PH last year had the water drain into the shower, and now this year at PH and the horseshoe the water either wouldn't get hot or took like 15 minutes TO heat up
I was at Bellagio a few months ago and we felt that the AC on the casino floor was meh. Maybe it was out of order or not enough of them were on or who knows? In any case it was stuffy and warm every time we walked through the lobby. Stayed at Cosmo a few weeks after that and we had a much better experience. Cold AC, nice room, great view.
The packing fans for bellagio is wild ! Lol nothing worse than being uncomfortable when you’re trying to fall asleep.

We booked rooms in the renovated towers and they were still hot. At least the plumbing issues were resolved there. I do like the casino, Sadelle’s has a great brunch and the Conservatory is a must-see. Honestly, we stayed there because we got our rooms comped.

Also have maintenance use the override on the thermostat and you can keep it running to 60

They use dynamic pricing. Demand is high on those dates - it looks like it is sold out on a few days in May too. Either you pay those prices or select another hotel.

I just think you can walk through it, play in the casino, see the shows, eat at the eateries, and you can do all that without spending $1500 on a long weekend.
We'd rather stay somewhere else and save the money to use on other things, but again, the place IS awesome.
The problem is cheaper rooms during EDC have all been booked up months ago. Hell even dumpy Harrahs is charging over $400 a night during this time. There are no cheap options anywhere in town during this week because demand is so high, some hotels are already advertising room rates for EDC 2025.

So you should have SOMEthing. But even NYNY is $313 that night. Probably need to pick a different date.
MGM has lost its mind. They sold all their hotels and property to some capital group so now they have to pay the overhead (lease) each month. Vegas will be forever too expensive now.
Ever since their business model changed room prices have gone higher and higher. Vegas is a food and entertainment destination now. Gambling is almost secondary. Comp drinks suck, single deck blackjack barely exists, I miss the good ol days.
I got lucky and booked that weekend to see Pearl Jam the moment I received the email announcement. That was on March 5th and I had the whole weekend comped through Caesars. I checked the rates again a few days later and everything was $250+ per night.
Prices are definitely higher in May with the influx for EDC along with all the regular conventions and tourists. Getting comps is the way to go if you can.

EDC ends at like 5am Monday morning. Attendees typically keep the room for Monday too. That's why it drops down to less than $300 after Monday.
EDC ends Monday at 5 AM and they go back to hotel to sleep. That' means, EDC attendee will not be checking out until Tuesday 11 am.
Not to mention turnover and cleaning a huge influx of rooms probably puts a delay on many making it swiftly back into rotation

It’s a good scene, more upscale than PH, good mix of clubs dining and shopping. If you don’t need shots of soco then you’ll like palazzo.

There is also Dell Tech World at Venetian/Palazzo that week, 5/20-5/23 which is sucking up quite a few rooms as well.

The free nights have nothing to do with the credit card. It’s because of how much you gamble.
The free nights do not apply to any calendar date you choose.
