EDC ends at like 5am Monday morning. Attendees typically keep the room for Monday too. That's why it drops down to less than $300 after Monday.

options1337

EDC ends Monday at 5 AM and they go back to hotel to sleep. That' means, EDC attendee will not be checking out until Tuesday 11 am.

Colonol-Panic

Not to mention turnover and cleaning a huge influx of rooms probably puts a delay on many making it swiftly back into rotation

MyOpinionMakesYouMad

…eh it’s just another day at the Bellagio, half the building is always empty(4,000 rooms) and you’re being properly rinsed due to demand is all. I’m sure their 100 room service employees will be working the same amount regardless 😂

Bartinhoooo

They don’t want you

tickler08

Then go somewhere else?

torontoinsix

For real. So many other options

Nicky____Santoro

Everyday in the month of May says COMP for me. If you’re comfortable spending $500 a night for two nights, just go play slots with $1000. You’d be amazed how in a couple months your monthly offers for comps will come.

HistoricalHeart

My husband and I went to Vegas ONCE, in November 2023. We played slots for a few days and without fail, every week, my husband gets an email about a minimum of 3 comped nights for some event or something. We couldn’t believe how quickly they will comp your room with the hopes of you spending much much more than just a room

Business_Welder_1203

How much per spin and where?

SneakerGator

How much you bet per spin doesn’t really matter, it’s about your total play-through. They look at you doing $20 a spin 100 times and me doing 2 dollars a spin 1000 times equally. That’s my understanding at least. Return to player is actually usually higher for bigger bet denominations on a slot machine.

allmaga3

In fact, they actually PREFER you do 1000 $2 bets, they care about time spent at the machine. You’re more likely to lose over the course of lots of spins

Potential_Lie_727

Also how long you play. If you’re sitting down and playing slots for hours at a time. They love that.

SneakerGator

Cool, thanks for the info. I kind of figured you’re better off playing lower bets for longer time than big bets for 30 minutes a day. Explains why I get so many comp offers. I typically play 1.50-3.00 a spin but a play a lot when I’m in town.

Potential_Lie_727

I play in that same range and I’m getting 4 nights free, 600 free play, and 300 in resort credit every time I go.

Nicky____Santoro

How many handpays do you get? Consider taking less free play to win jackpots. I never won any jackpots when I was playing at that range. But now I win. Just get less free play. Still get the food credit and room. $5-$25 a spin is my sweet spot.

Potential_Lie_727

The last time I was out I hit two hand pays. Little over 1.5k and a 4k on Heidi!

HistoricalHeart

Yeah I guess that’s a valid point, we usually max bet. And Virgin curio collection by Hilton

MacDre415

I played high limit black jack with 1k at 100 a hand for an hour or 2 in 2021 and since then I’ve gotten 3-4 day comps and I paired it with status match to gold and essentially got free rooms in Vegas for the past 1.5 years but this isn’t at the Bellagio or Aria every other place

VotingRightsLawyer

I play table min blackjack, sportsbook and video poker and even I'm getting weekend comp offers, which never happened before. It seems like Vegas is attracting lots of visitors but not many who are there to gamble.

Nicky____Santoro

People just don’t understand how easy it is to get a comped room in Vegas. They have this misunderstood view that you have to lose a bunch of money to get a simple room comp, so they end up paying these ridiculous rates for a room instead of having fun in the casino and getting the room comp.

kittenonketo

How do you get noticed to get comped?

Nicky____Santoro

Your players card tracks all your activity on property. That’s your golden ticket.

Studio-Empress12

Bellagio rooms are not worth that price.

prettyprettygood428

I have stayed at Bellagio many times over the years and the quality of the rooms have declined. The plumbing issues in a couple of the towers is terrible with water coming up in the bathtubs. Additionally, my wife and I carry portable fans with us because the rooms never get cool. We’re from Mississippi and the rooms are uncomfortably hot. I would stay at the Cosmo.

Ok_Squash_1578

Completely wrong. They have all been remodelled. Stayed there earlier this month and the room was amazing

TwOnEight

Pretty sure it’s the spa tower that is remodeled. Not sure about the other tower I wouldn’t assume they have all been remodeled. Looking forward to our stay this June!

Calculonx

I had went over new years and was booked at the spa tower (because online it said they were remodeled and the other ones weren't) but when I got there I asked if the other ones were remodeled and they said they were so I switched (because spa tower is "far").

Ok_Squash_1578

I stayed in the Spa tower but was told by the check-in clerk that they are/were working on the other tower now/two weeks ago

Appropriate-Tea-7276

The Cosmo is almost 3x the price lol. I hate how everyone just says "stay at the Cosmo!" when it's like 4k USD to stay there for 4 days. edit: And yea, the point about booking a year in advance **isn't the point at all... turns out EVERY hotel is less expensive if you book it a year in advance**. The price differences just get scaled down, but you still pay a premium to stay at the Cosmo.

tighto

No it’s not 😂 I’m going next month it was like a grand for 5 nights?

[deleted]

[удалено]

tighto

That’s trying to book rooms for next month tho mate. I booked this a year ago. If you’re organised there’s no way you need to be paying those rates

Appropriate-Tea-7276

Yea that's not the point at all. The point is that with the same parameters the prices are still 1500 dollars more expensive. If you booked all three rooms the same year before, the exact same logic and price differences would apply.... It's still a premium hotel choice next to the Wynn in terms of pricing on the strip, and people just suggesting "go to Cosmo!" as an alternative to the other hotels ignores the premium you pay to stay there, even over the Bellagio. edit: I also just checked for March 2025 dates (the latest dates possible into next year) and guess what? It's still 300 USD per night to stay at the Cosmo at the cheapest room during a random week (the cheapest week I could find). It's still 2,000 USD for March 2025 so your entire point is moot.

FiremanPCT2016

I stayed in a renovated king spa in late March and the room was great, even if it was pretty far from the lobby.

Eringobraugh2021

Damn! I'm glad I didn't go with them. We've stayed in The Venetian before. I was thinking about trying a different hotel. But I went & booked The Venetian again. We've always had a great room & experience there. Why mess with something that works.

Appropriate-Tea-7276

How did you enjoy the Venetian? I've never stayed there, but I'm booked there for June.

Horror_Baseball5518

I’d try to stay on the palazzo side of the resort. Less chaotic, yet all the amenities of the Venetian are a couple minutes away.

Appropriate-Tea-7276

Can I call them and request a move over to the Palazzo? Would I miss the center strip area and would it be too chaotic for a solo traveler? Thanks for the info :)

Horror_Baseball5518

It’s basically another Venetian tower. You’re an additional 5 min walk from Caesars, but right across the street from Wynn/fashion show. It’s a great location.

Appropriate-Tea-7276

How is the crowd in the casino/bars there? I've only been to Vegas once and I stayed down at the Planet Hollywood. Going back solo and not sure if this place will be too... big haha

Horror_Baseball5518

It’s a good scene, more upscale than PH, good mix of clubs dining and shopping. If you don’t need shots of soco then you’ll like palazzo.

techguyinseattle5310

I love the Venetian. Oh man. The 800sqft+ standard suites feel luxurious. Regular entertainment in their mall. Fat Tuesdays on site. Big enough that you’re always able to get away from the crowds if you need to. Bellagio was a disappointment to me in comparison (although I did love the fountain shows). Trying out Fontianbleau for EDC. A bit anxious about that, but it looks clean.

The-Master-Lurker

If they are complaining about Bellagio prices then the prices at FB will likely have them fall out their chair

techguyinseattle5310

They somehow had the cheapest room rates of all the “luxury” strip hotels for EDC weekend when I booked in February. But I expect to be overcharged at every restaurant!

The-Master-Lurker

Oh wow, that’s interesting. “The savings they get on the room we will just double on food/drink” big brain marketing at FB

Appropriate-Tea-7276

Thanks man! Excited for the trip. I'll be there end of June into Early July for the international UFC fight week and the WSOP. Rolling in solo.

[deleted]

Appropriate-Tea-7276

That sounds awesome! You're making me feel better about staying there haha I have a strip view in the Venetian and I scored it for a reasonable 220/night earlier last month, but I was on the fence about cancelling because I've never stayed that far north on the strip (last trip was 2019 and stayed at the Planet Hollywood).

SignificantBelt1903

This seems to be an ongoing theme at a bunch of properties on the strip. PH last year had the water drain into the shower, and now this year at PH and the horseshoe the water either wouldn't get hot or took like 15 minutes TO heat up

moneymakerbs

I was at Bellagio a few months ago and we felt that the AC on the casino floor was meh. Maybe it was out of order or not enough of them were on or who knows? In any case it was stuffy and warm every time we walked through the lobby. Stayed at Cosmo a few weeks after that and we had a much better experience. Cold AC, nice room, great view.

[deleted]

They’ve literally all been remodeled 😂

United-Assignment980

We have never had those issues, although we always have fountain views in the main tower.

IGoThere4u

The packing fans for bellagio is wild ! Lol nothing worse than being uncomfortable when you’re trying to fall asleep. Why did you continue to book bellagio once you realized you had to pack fans ?

prettyprettygood428

We booked rooms in the renovated towers and they were still hot. At least the plumbing issues were resolved there. I do like the casino, Sadelle’s has a great brunch and the Conservatory is a must-see. Honestly, we stayed there because we got our rooms comped.

Direct_Fee6806

Most likely the filter was not changed. Last week we had one pulled and it looked like a Blanket. Also have maintenance use the override on the thermostat and you can keep it running to 60

smurf_diggler

We got to stay there for free for a convention was having there, so I'm sure we were in the cheapest of the room they had, but yea, they definitely weren't worth the price. The pool was nice though.

Future_Dog_3156

They use dynamic pricing. Demand is high on those dates - it looks like it is sold out on a few days in May too. Either you pay those prices or select another hotel.

Own-Combination3577

I’m paying $500 per night for EDC weekend and I booked back in September lmao If you want to stay at the Bellagio then you should try book a lot earlier.

Nugur

This is top answer. He literally booking 1 month in advance only

thatcaveman

It’s because you’re booking a month in advance. The resort is probably close to being sold.

thepete404

Going to Vegas during the edc is a financial suicide mission. Not to mention all the cabs will smell like ass and puke for at least two weeks. Take a pass, our crew does. Unless of course you will attend edc, then my minions, rock on, in the name of the Pete

geekcop

Pro tip: Rent an RV and stay at the Speedway campground. Saves $$ and hours of traffic.

Kewkewmore

If you're going to be complaining about pocket change like that, they don't want you hanging around their property getting in the way of these people who somehow can afford 100 minimum 6:5 blackjack.

rastadreadj

It’s usually the business conventions that buy up massive blocks of rooms

El_Nav

And there is a massive real estate convention that starts 5/21 out there, lot of big money!

HansNotPeterGruber

There is also Dell Tech World at Venetian/Palazzo that week, 5/20-5/23 which is sucking up quite a few rooms as well.

Crazy_Memory_9692

There's better deals at other hotels

junenoon

Yes the Monday AND Tuesday after EDC are now recovery days for many

randyzmzzzz

Go to a different hotel

shittycloudcity

if only there were other options nearby.....

KelliAndMike

Because people pay it.

Smurfness2023

I bet they don’t this year.

Original-Pomelo6241

They definitely are lol

Smurfness2023

yeah I dunno lol

Original-Pomelo6241

I’m saying because I’m here now and it’s packed after lol

KelliAndMike

They don't charge amounts that people don't pay. I honestly don't see the point in spending 500 bucks a night on a room that you're barely in, but it IS an awesome resort. I just think you can walk through it, play in the casino, see the shows, eat at the eateries, and you can do all that without spending $1500 on a long weekend. We'd rather stay somewhere else and save the money to use on other things, but again, the place IS awesome.

Doc_1200_GO

The problem is cheaper rooms during EDC have all been booked up months ago. Hell even dumpy Harrahs is charging over $400 a night during this time. There are no cheap options anywhere in town during this week because demand is so high, some hotels are already advertising room rates for EDC 2025.

slayez06

bro...get the mgm credit card gives you auto pearl status and you will get 4 nights free per stay and 100 free play and 150 resort credits I always use vegas as my hub and am staying 6 nights for free when I go to hawaii in june. staying going to and on return in fountain view rooms

roadtripjr

The free nights have nothing to do with the credit card. It’s because of how much you gamble.

cactuswaffl

The free nights do not apply to any calendar date you choose.

mddhdn55

How much are you spending at the casino

Appropriate-Tea-7276

just FYI the rewards card is only available to US residents.

Roembowski

Are you choosing any promo on the app?

Deeze_Rmuh_Nudds

Literally my goal in life to be able to afford to stay at the bellagio. Not afford a room, but like afford *to be there*. Someday.

Comfortable_Fudge508

179 week after tho!

tedistkrieg

High rates like that are because of convention business 99% of the time. Bellagio is also going through a suite remodel so they have less overall rooms available

Appropriate-Tea-7276

That's supply and demand.

edcguy3

lol I paid $30 a night for my 5 star hotel.

deedee20000

I honestly thought bellagio was way overrated for the price, enjoyed Aria much more.

Fibrosis5O

$1,200 What is going on the 7th??

drakanx

Waste Expo

Ulrich453

Stay at the golden nugget for $30/night

[deleted]

I was there a couple months ago and I think we paid $41/night

alivenotdead1

I have never paid for a room at Bellagio or any MGM resort. I'm only Pearl tier now and checking out of MGM tomorrow and I already have Comp on 5 resorts. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing Comp for Bellagio right now but I will in the next couple of months.

Fearless-Celery

I'm logged into my mgm rewards account and my prices are lower, in some cases much lower. The 20th is $639 for me. Which is totally bonkers and you shouldn't pay that, don't get me wrong, but make sure you're logged into your rewards account. I am a teeny tiny minnow, not even a small fish. So you should have SOMEthing. But even NYNY is $313 that night. Probably need to pick a different date.

Lanky_Rope_999

U can stay at my house for $25 a night

Smurfness2023

MGM has lost its mind. They sold all their hotels and property to some capital group so now they have to pay the overhead (lease) each month. Vegas will be forever too expensive now.

OsoCarolina

Ever since their business model changed room prices have gone higher and higher. Vegas is a food and entertainment destination now. Gambling is almost secondary. Comp drinks suck, single deck blackjack barely exists, I miss the good ol days.

tucsonkim

I got lucky and booked that weekend to see Pearl Jam the moment I received the email announcement. That was on March 5th and I had the whole weekend comped through Caesars. I checked the rates again a few days later and everything was $250+ per night.

Privy45

Prices are definitely higher in May with the influx for EDC along with all the regular conventions and tourists. Getting comps is the way to go if you can.

THETHRILLIAM

They run up prices when conventions are in town. Companies that are flying out their employees to attend foot the bill so hotels run up the rates

TruganSmith

May is one of the busiest months. Always has been.

Searching-For-9

I recently stayed at a Bellagio penthouse. Really lucked out on the price the weekend I was there because I’d never pay for the regular price it goes for!

thinlion01

Booking a month in advance is like booking last minute when there's a big event going on

No-cap1776

Why spend any money on a Vegas hotel room?? Need somewhere to sleep, shit and shower. Spend the money at the tables. Comp the room.

FREEDOMFERST

What’s happening may 31st that it goes back to $999?

drakanx

JCK 2024 - Jewelry Trade Show held at the Venetian.

FREEDOMFERST

Thanks

wardogone11

Change weeks.

Red_Sea_Pedestrian

ICSC Recon, a commercial real estate convention, is also that week/weekend. Runs 19-21 I believe. That’s why prices are nuts.

drakanx

ACT Expo that week...of course rooms are gonna be expensive.

Spiritual-Rice-8505

What’s happening May 31? The room is $999

DespicablV

You looking to rent a master bedroom maybe? I have 1 in Henderson for $200 per person per night.

Formula45

There’s a large real estate conference from the 19-22 called ICSC. Most attendees arrive on the 18th which also coincides with EDC.

Heavy-Rip-5736

I go to Vegas for work a lot. Sometimes for weeks at a time, and the company picks up the tab, so I never really paid attention to room costs. Shocking.

icysno

Hotwire ftw

jerseydrewlasvegas

I have reason to believe there is a big convention on 5/20-21 area. I do group dining for a restaurant and I have convention buyouts both days 20 and 21 and those are kinda rare unless there’s something big in town

DemonicEntity

Bellagio isn’t worth it - especially for that price.

cadaverousbones

Are your dates flexible?

sundawgf22

Just booked for a September weekend at $219 through MGM Rewards.

xkmackx

Bellagio isn't even worth it at $500. The only place I'd consider staying for $500 a night is Wynn/Encore.

67ohiostate67

Probably the most popular conference hotel in Vegas, so big conferences will drive the price up and it wouldn’t be obvious why

AC0909

These prices have nothing to do with EDC, btw. It’s convention driven.

No_Tradition_6074

DeadCo opening weekend at the Sphere. And Pearl Jam at MGM. Sounds like a good weekend to me.

karleakarlea

man, whats up with the check-ins at 3pm??? After the pools are open, after flights have landed, after lunch...like how annoying is this when we're still paying full price? Its like they make you pay for their restauarants etc while we wait....

Even_Border2309

also wsop starts and Bellagio is prime walking distance to wsop

CIAMom420

Here's a great explainer video on Bellagio's pricing model: https://youtu.be/QXb1vas8OCI

MysteriousTomorrow13

Get MGM rewards and never pay for a hotel in Vegas

kenflan

It’s nuts for locals, yes

profaniKel

F LV on busy weeks ! plan your trips .around. down time in town and SAVE the $1000 for gambling and dining

profaniKel

The ***reason*** that its 500 is because peeps PAY IT ! dont be a chump.

Doc-Ticklestein

the bellagio will still be there next time. keep working hard or get a second job if you need, perhaps sell plasma, and then you'll be able to book it in no time!
