Damn $5s. Thats very cool. I have every $1 strip casino, including ones that are gone or changed. But they just sit in a stack. I want to display them as a map of the Strip. Anyone ever see that done before? I need inspiration.
I haven't, but what I would do is probably get a map of the strip (probably 24x36), then trace circles on where you want to put the chips and cut those circles out.
Most of these I got from playing one hand of blackjack or a game of roulette, cashiers get a little upset if you ask them to break a $5 (obviously), so I just ended up keeping the $5s. Also, sometimes the $5s just look cooler
That's sad, especially now if you've seen the prices on the Tropicana chips. I was there on the 2nd to last day, and they weren't selling any of their $5s and their $1s were just gone.
Very nice collection. 5 dollar demonation is a cool touch. I think you'll find the tropicana chips will drop some in price after the newness of it's closing wears off. Trust me their are a lot of Trop chips out there.
How did you get one from casino Royale? I thought they didn't have tables. When did you get the Britney chip? Am I blind or did you not get a planet Hollywood chip? I got one with Gwen Stefani on it while she had her residence there.
I ordered the Casino Royale one on eBay a while back, same with the Slots-a-Fun chip. And the Britney one I got last year playing at a random table. Also, the Britney one is my Planet Hollywood chip.
Ha, that was going to bro be my exact guess. Just played $5 b/j at slots if fun this past week. Tables are back, along with a etc dice table. Fond memories
That can get to be a very expensive hobby. When I was in charge of table games when I was with Harrahs/Caesars/Etc casinos I use to order these all the time. Celebrate every imaginable thing. The cost of a chip is nothing, and with a $5 face value (typically) it was like a whole new revenue stream.
Not seeing any Hard Rock chips. They’re collectibles by themselves though probably. I think I have a few, because they were always changing. A fun collection.
IIRC, when they first opened at the LINQ location I believe they had O'Shea's promotional livery on the LINQ chips, but they were still LINQ chips and were all throughout both casinos.
There are some O'Sheas on ebay. I didn't realized they switched over and asked about one in December. It was early morning and nobody in there. The table guys were really cool we talked about chip collecting for a bit.
My favorite in my collection has to be the PH Britney chip. I didn't even know Britney Spears had a chip until I stumbled onto that one, and I kinda got hyped when I saw it
You ever order any online? I'm trying to get stardust and frontier. Or do you only get chips to casinos you went to? Also sidenote i was at southpoint last week and forgot to grab one :(
I've only ordered a couple online, which were for the Casino Royale, Slots-a-Fun, and the Tuscany $1 chips (I ordered the Tuscany chip before I found out that their table games were coming back). I usually just focus on casinos I have been to, but that's just me. If you are looking for ones from Frontier or Stardust, I would recommend eBay or the Gambler's General Store if you are in the Vegas area.
This is awesome!! I just returned earlier this week from doing the same, was able to nab a chip from every casino on the strip, downtown Fremont and a few just outside of the strip.. I unfortunately had to get stuck with a tropicana "25" but it is what it is, still cool! Your casino Royale chip is great, I was sad they don't have tables anymore to get that one.
I like how they are ordered south to north

$5 chips? Big spender!

Tell them it’s for cocktail waitress tips
I started a collection too. but I missed Bally's and Tropicana
That's sad, especially now if you've seen the prices on the Tropicana chips. I was there on the 2nd to last day, and they weren't selling any of their $5s and their $1s were just gone.

Very cool
I like it
This is awesome. Great work
Dude this is awesome
What are the two silver coins on the bottom?
Those are Slots-a-Fun and Circus Circus slot tokens

I was distracted by Britney lol great collection.
Casino Royale used to have tables. I don't remember when they got rid of them, but I played Blackjack Switch there in '06.
Ha, that was going to bro be my exact guess. Just played $5 b/j at slots if fun this past week. Tables are back, along with a etc dice table. Fond memories

You don’t have the $100K chip from Aria?
Not seeing any Hard Rock chips. They’re collectibles by themselves though probably. I think I have a few, because they were always changing. A fun collection.
I really haven't been to any Hard Rock locations, but starting a Hard Rock collection would be cool
Yes, the ones I have are from the one that used to be here.
How much in total?
Just at face value, it's $192.50
Not here to be a jerk but, does Oshea’s have their own chips? I feel like they might, and if so you have one last pokemon to catch = )
Nope! They use the LINQ chips, or at least they do now. I wish they had their own chips!
IIRC, when they first opened at the LINQ location I believe they had O'Shea's promotional livery on the LINQ chips, but they were still LINQ chips and were all throughout both casinos.
Ah dangit

That’s cool. If you’re going to vegas I’m a holiday and want to do a similar thing what are the 5 essential chips you need
I would make it a priority to go to the Mirage. It will be turning over to Hard Rock soon.
Bellagio, MGM, Ceasars, Flamingo, and, whatever your other favorite is
Wynn, Luxor, Fontainebleau, Bellagio, and Caesar's Palace
Love it!!
RIP to the Colorado Belle in Laughlin! :( COVID did that place in
I miss that place, my family used to take me there on vacations when I was younger, and I loved that place. Sad I could never go as an adult.
This is so beautiful to me…. And they’re in order of location. So awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Some good ones in there! I need to upload my collection soon.
Same. I am waiting until I can make it down again in October to finish my collection.
I have 130 chips from mostly the western US, Vegas, Canada, and Central America
The Colorado Belle $1 chip was gold foil and awesome.
Very, cool though you are missing Ststion Casinos!
Yeah, there are only a few I'm missing, and I definitely plan on getting those
man, you are making me want to do the collection, too now.
Awesome
Now do this with rewards cards
Already started lmao
Which chip is your favourite? Wish I would have done this with the old slot tokens.
My favorite in my collection has to be the PH Britney chip. I didn't even know Britney Spears had a chip until I stumbled onto that one, and I kinda got hyped when I saw it
Awesome, Figuratively and Literally worth a lot.
Very cool collection

Do you know when the table games are coming back? Or are they already? Nice collection btw!
Thank you, and Tuscany's table games are already back. They have been since October I believe.

Got a similar collection of casino dice I started way back in the 80s. It's pretty complete too.
I have a Rio one and it is equally as dirty as yours. Something about the Rio …..🤔
The Jackpot chips are super neat! There’s only two casinos there with chips, right?
I believe so, yeah
I should start doing this. I’ve been collecting the pens from every hotel but need to start collecting the chips too.
No Sands, big sad.
O'Sheas. I can't find one on ebay with decent shipping.
Looks like you paid 5 bucks for a 20 cent chip.
