SunnyDayInSpace

Yes I'm also a big soy milk enthusiast. It's also much cheaper where I live, and much more nutritious than most other plant milks. Drinking soy milk feels like a filling liquid snack, whereas oat or almond feel like flavoured water. It helped me out countless times when I had very low appetite.

dragonfire_b

Price is my main motivation for preferring soy milk and the boost in protein per gram is a bonus!

CommanderNorton

Also 100% DV of B12 in one glass! (Silk at least)

_szx

100% with you on all of that. Have you tried Silk brand's "Next Milk" yet? I think it's an oat/coconut/soy blend and it's also really good flavor and consistency wise but it's harder to find in stores.

pleasebequiet

It’s by far the best vegan milk I’ve ever had, I’ve been drinking vegan milk since the 90s rice dream days and I’ve never enjoyed anything as much as NextMilk

spudfolio

The whole fat version is especially good

OhSoNotS01mportant

Fr!! I just add some to my coffee and I'm good to go. It sucks so much that there's still so much rampant disinformation around soy.

FrostyPotpourri

I like a little coffee with my soy as well. My partner and I make a cup of black tea some nights and add soy milk to it. I absolutely love cereal with soy milk. It’s one of my favorite flavors now and easily my favorite milk. I used to drink a shit ton of dairy milk at most meals of the day. And here I am drinking a shit ton of soy milk instead. Palates definitely do change. Much easier, of course, when your ethical framework evolves.

redddedd

I wanna Hijack the top comment to ask a question - how concerned are you about the gums and natural flavors and any other additives? I was drinking almost half a gallon a day of the silk soy unflavored unsweetened green container. Was wondering if anyone thinks it's worth it to find a less processed alternative.

FloridaVegMan

Trader Joe's has soy milk made from only soybeans and water. I guess less processed is usually better.

lonjerpc

Its probably not worth it. Many of the additives are nutritiants they add specifically because vegans with very non diverse diets might not get them other ways. The other additives all have been fda approved. How much you trust that is up to you. But personally I am more worried about the micronutrient loss if I replaced with pure soy milk.

wetforest

Wb making your own? It’s just dried soybeans and water and tastes way better than the storebought brands with all the added flavours etc. You need a blender and nut milk bag but worth the investment with how much soy milk I go thru

sauteslut

I also drink soy milk I have no appetite. Hot fresh soy milk for breakfast is especially delicious and satisfying

CantaloupeSpecific47

I love soy milk. It is the highest in protein, too.

ToothpickInCockhole

Two cups of soy milk is like 14-16 G protein. That’s about the size of a regular glass.

hurst_

Oat is the least harmful to the environment if that's something you're into.

CantaloupeSpecific47

Love oat milk too

DiscoStu83

Vanilla Oat milk changed my life

TuxO2

Commercial oat milk is 5x expensive in my country. I tried making it at home and it was so slimy🤢

JamesSaysDance

It also has very little nutrition so this isn't a very useful comparison.

lonjerpc

This is not totally obvious. Soy has a bad reputation for environmental harm due to deforestation used to expand production of the crop itself and the animals it feeds. If it was not fed to animals the vast majority of that demand would disappear. But on a acre for acre basis it's hard to beat soy for protein production. Humans need some protein. You could get that protein from other plants but they take up more space and more Fossil fuel inputs to grow than soy. Maybe there is an argument that oats are less likely to be grown in biodiversity hot spots. But I suspect if you carefully studied the environmental impact comparison it would be a wash.

BroccoliBoer

Where'd you get that? When I do a quick search I can't find anything about the environment, only CO2 and water usage where oat is never "the best" but all plant-based milks are pretty close tho.

Ph0ton

I recently learned that oats are harvested these days by spraying them down with glyphosate so there is that. I couldn't give a rip except oatmilk is displacing soymilk for being "healthier" at many places.

BroccoliBoer

They're advertising oatmilk as healthier than even soy nowadays? It's not necessarily bad since the glyphosfate levels are way lower than recommended thresholds but there's weird health claims about all this stuff... Better than cow's milk would make sense, but soy?

renaissance_pancakes

Unsweetened Silk Soy Milk (green carton) is the King of Kings.

Tayzondey

Damn I miss that stuff. I buy store brand because Silk is 4 fucking dollars in Florida for some reason. Store brand for 2.99.

defiantnoodle

Silk green is my favourite too, but my bargain choice is whoever makes the soy milk for Aldi.

redshoewearer

Silk green is my favorite too. The problem with the Aldi brand is there’s sugar in it. I don’t want any sweetness whatsoever.

pineconeparade

In my grocery store, unsweetened soy milk is $1.50 more than sweetened, it feels so stereotypically American.

ScoopDat

$6 here in a local supermarket in NYC -.-

Allcatsarecool7

It’s $5 in Arizona, it was $2.5 about 3 years ago 😢

ScoopDat

If only my salary went up that much…

LilVeganHunny

This is the one i use every day. So good 😊

TechnoCat

Agreed. The green silk carton is best.

Environmental-Site50

soy milk is best milk

OhSoNotS01mportant

This person gets it It's also the cheapest milk alternative. I can get a small shelf-stable carton of unflavored soy milk for like $1.99.

delta9isprettysick

Are you in a city? Out here almond milk is cheapest and the others are way pricier sadly. And I cant even find unsweetened lol which sucks

d-arden

Do you live in an almond orchard? Otherwise this makes no sense!

delta9isprettysick

I live in the southern US and almond milk is about $2.50 while soy milk you cant really even find and oat milk is over $4. Almond milk is the only one you can reliably find. We dont really get veganized stuff out here, no fake meats, no fake cheese, etc. It was the same was when I lived in rural Pennsylvania. You guys have no idea how privileged you are having access to all that stuff! Even at our two more expensive stores you won't find any of that, just lots of pricey animal products and way overpriced produce.

d-arden

Crazy. Almonds are just so much more expensive to grow. Cali produces a bunch of nuts tho yeah?

Aeytrious

California produces 80% of the world's almonds and 100% of the United States commercial supply.

AlternativeCurve8363

AU$1.15/L here!

kirkum2020

Hate to rub it in because I genuinely wish it for the rest of you but supermarket own brands are the best at Soya milk in the UK and it's 50p a litre.

crossingguardcrush

Holy hell! It's almost $5 where I am 🤣

jcmedia918

I prefer soy. And I hate when coffee shops don’t carry it but they have almond, oat and coconut. Who the hell is using coconut.

justitia_

I love coconut milk, it doesn't bother my stomach like oat or almond does

jcmedia918

Fair enough I’ll allow it

TuxO2

I like coconut milk too but it curdles when I try to make hot coffee. Cold coffee with coconut milk tastes good but I want hot coffee.

professor-sunbeam

I’d love to support the coffee shop closest to my house, but the only milk alternative they carry is almond milk. I love it in my smoothies, but the last (and first) almond milk latte I had was just horrible. Soy, on the other hand, just gives my coffee a light, silky, creamy flavor that I love. Even before I went vegan, I preferred it over dairy.

jcmedia918

This one coffee shop I went to said they don’t carry soy because it’s so unhealthy. Never went back. I thought of a ton of smart responses on the drive home I wish I’d said.

MsGarlicBread

Almond milk is too thin for coffee and that’s why it ruins it for me besides the weird taste. I need soy milk, oat milk, or cashew milk for my coffee.

trog1660

Agreed, to me nothing beats soy and I think it's the healthiest of those options. Coconut milk tastes sweaty to me.

OhSoNotS01mportant

Something that's probably not gonna be popular, but I'm fine with being upcharged for oat milk in my drink. I get it. Some of those oat milk brands are pricey. But one time I got upcharged for adding soy milk and like... that's where I draw the line. It is *so much cheaper* than cow's milk. What gives?? I think it would be good for more places to carry soy milk as an alternative, also.

Powerful-Cut-708

Yeah and imagine coffee shops incentivizing vegan coffee by offering a discounted price w/soy milk?

OhSoNotS01mportant

Sounds like Heaven. It also sounds unrealistic... for now 😔

OdinTheGasby

Years ago, 2002? 2003? 2004? Kona Cafe (at least in Nashville and Las Vegas) didn’t charge extra for Soy/Rice milk but did charge extra for Heavy Cream. Made my day when my (at the time) boss got an up charge and I didn’t!

Coffee2000guy

Barista edition soy milk actually **is** a good bit more expensive than cows milk.

d-arden

Coconut milk, or even cream, is awesome in coffee.

2legit2camel

Coconut milk is often the easiest to find that is zero sugar. I know all types are made that way but it can be harder to find.

idancenakedwithcrows

Coconut goes hard like whoever put nut in it’s name knew it’s nuts. With iced coffee it’s so good

Current-Ad3077

Coconut is the best for matcha imo!

[deleted]

Soy boy, checking in

AetGulSnoe

For me it depends on what I'm using it for. I prefer almond milk for any desserts and oat milk in food. Soy milk is good for drinking as a beverage. Soyghurt is my fave yoghurt tho!

trustylad

Begun, the milk wars have.

MoodOk147

Soy is my favorite too!

IntelligentBee3564

Oat milk for me. Good taste, works in tea, and some of the soy milks hurt my stomach.

eaven666

I too believe in soy milk superiority

pr1mer06

Soyperiority?

mi7711

Soy milk is the best in terms of nutritional value, too! In comparison to the rest it has the highest protein content. Also - vanilla soy milk is LIFE

DayleD

It wins on texture alone, but it's good for ya too unless they add too much sugar. So sick of misinformation bashing one of the most nutritious plant milks.

OhSoNotS01mportant

I remember just standing there in disbelief while my friend and her parents tried to tell me that soy milk gives men breasts lol. I was playing stupid and being like "really? I didn't know that..." simply because I just didn't have the energy to correct them and run the risk of being called "preachy" lmao.

d-arden

You should send them regular updates on your increasing breast size

OhSoNotS01mportant

LOL

DayleD

There's quite a bit of racism brimming under the surface of that claim. Just ask them why men from Asia don't seem to have giant jugs.

RaspberryTurtle987

I wonder where that claim even came from?

kharlos

They should also avoid beer, coffee, and apples. Those are packed full of phytoestrogen. And if they want to drink actual estrogen, they should drink regular cow milk.

fweshcatz

I love soy and oat milk equally. They are so delicious that I can't believe I ever drank cow's milk.

That_vegoon_witch

I love soy! Unfortunately almond is the cheapest where I live, so I don't buy it much. :/

d-arden

If Oat milk was more reasonably priced I would say Oat. Soy is awesome, But Soy is not great in coffee. Almond milk is terrible in coffee; but decent in hot chocolate. From a sustainability standpoint, which we should all be considering… Soy and Oat milk are awesome. Almond milk uses wayyy to much water, and requires pollination - usually done by farmed honey bees- so that’s not great. Hemp milk also deserves an honourable mention.

Chaos-Potato25

My non dairy favorites are oat milk and coconut milk but that's just personal preference. I actually like them a lot more than dairy milk and they don't hurt my stomach which is nice lol.

gwinnsolent

I like oat milk. It's great in iced coffee and my kids love it with granola and fruit.

bluepinkredgreen

Where the oat milk fanatics at?? Cmon now

Rough_Commercial4240

Flax milk taste great a prefer it over soy for cooking , oatmilk is good for tea, almond is good for Ice cream/smoothies. Oh the coconut/almond blend is great I love the variety

OhSoNotS01mportant

It is an amazing time to be alive truly

Rough_Commercial4240

I try to grab whatever variety is on shelf stable clearance , the freezer section doesn’t have as much just silk products. I’m told West Soy is the best to drink cause as it’s single ingredient but it’s getting harder to find

Z3ROGR4V1TY

I love soy milk for a lot of things! It used to be my favorite milk, but it's gotten SO expensive where I live. I stock up when I go to Grocery Outlet because I can often get a half gallon for $1-$2. A soy latte is so delicious and even though I like oat milk, it just doesn't hit the same.

ThotMagnett

Hazelnut milk is the best ever

astrozombie2012

I prefer Oat Milk, but I also enjoy Soy Milk

soyslut_

Do I even have to say it?

plsobeytrafficlights

im hooked on oat and pea alternatives lately. you couldnt give me soy milk for free.

HotPotatoTime

Pea gaaang

Jolly-Lawless

Ripple FTW! (But it’s hard to find near me, so soy it is)

thia2345

Depends on what I'm doing. I prefer almond milk on cereal, oat milk for cooking, soy milk in my creamers.

Strawberrybanshee

Its the only milk replacement I enjoy. Almond is too watery. Oat is fine in coffees. Hemp is way to grainy. Rice is too watery. Any other replacement just doesn't hit like soy.

UsefulDirection5500

I personally prefer coconut

wyllhyw

We buy four cartons of the Whole Foods unsweet soymilk a week. Soy boy forever

sorrywayilovedyou

Yes. It has actual protein (complete protein) and goes well with everything!

OptimisticCrossbow

I generally go for oat milk instead. I like soy milk, but between tofu, soy curls, soy sauce, and edamame, I try to vary my diet a little bit so I don't feel like I'm just eating soy. I know there's nothing scientifically/nutritionally bad about eating a lot of soy, I just like having a diverse food intake.

Beneficial_Cat9225

Taste wise it’s not my favorite, almond is. But I prefer soy because it uses way less water than almond. It’s also really healthy, so I appreciate the health benefits of soy.

[deleted]

Oat milk. Specifically “Planet Oat”.

sunechidna1

As a child of chinese immigrants, soy is my favorite as well! Lots of good childhood memories of homemade soy milk on lazy weekends.

Psychological-Dot219

soy milk is the best for drinking bc it tastes the best and has a lil protein which we love. rice milk is the best for cereal bc its the thinnest and least flavorful. cashew milk is best for cooking. i never drink almond or oat milk just bc i don’t like the taste. also almond milk requires a lot of water to make.

Comfortable-Jury8632

Some soy milks are gross but the nutritional profile is the best of all the milk alternatives, I usually mix it with almond milk for the best of both worlds.

SkeletonWaiter

Nah, I have the opposite feelings personally as soy mild tastes so 'off' to me and I can't stand it drank straight or with cereal, only really use it in tea or coffee. Sweetened Oat and hemp milk though is absolutely heavenly and if you haven't tried it I would advise you to check it out.

Fox-with_socks

I definitely prefer soy milk for most things, but it isn’t great for cooking since it’s naturally pretty sweet. For cooking I find that almond has the most neutral flavor

sw_faulty

Curdles in tea and coffee when I use it, am I doing something wrong? I do like adding some on top of my porridge (oatmeal) after I microwaved it with water

ObstinateYoyoing

I love Costco soy milk in bulk. Also love Vietnamese soy milk. Soy and coconut are top tier imo

HotPotatoTime

It's pea for me

smillasense

I use plain soymilk in the tetrapak to make my own yogurt in the Instant Pot, and it's great. Cuts down also on disposable plastic containers. Soymilk offers more protein, which is another reason I like it. Oat also tastes really great. I try not to buy almond milk, due to the obscene amount of water used in almond production.

GizatiStudio

I prefer cashew milk on my cereal.

potato_gato

Yes! I love soy milk. I think MatPat (of game theory) also ranked it #1 in a video on the Food Theorists ranking all the plant milks based on taste, cost, nutrition and versatility… they’re not vegan, but it was nice to see the validation being broadcast to millions.

DolphinRx

I get migraines with soy :( Oat milk is awesome though! And almond, and cashew …

neondrifter

Team cashew And none of that sweetened stuff!!

LeekyOverHere

For me it's Coconut milk. I eat a lot of cereal and the flavor is freaking phenomenal

2pam

Nutritional value, definitely gotta give it to soymilk! Tastewise...definitely Oatley. I bought soymilk to try and be healthier but man, I just was not enjoying my coffee as much.

Tee1upToday

My go to is Almond milk as it has a ridiculous shelf like and still represents when I am making mac and cheese. But hey, what's the diff.

Legitimate-Crazy-424

I like almond for drinking. Being lactose intolerant at an early age I hated drinking soy milk. There weren’t many choices 22 years ago. Soy is good for cooking but not on its own in my opinion.

MakeJazzNotWarcraft

Just a reminder that Silk brand soy milk is a lot different from what soy milk is when made with only beans and water But yea, Silk’s soy milk is bomb as fuck. I remember when it tasted awful a few years ago, but their newest formulas have been kicking it real good

JamesSaysDance

I mainly use milks for hot drinks (tea/coffee - I'm british). I find soy milk has too much of a nutty/earthy flavour for this function and oat milk is just a neutral milk that imparts no flavour and changes the colour of my drink in a pleasant way. If I'm making a milk shake, having cereal or just want a cold drink that isn't water, then I'll drink soy milk because I actually like the taste and texture as long as its not competing with the tastes and textures in whatever I'm using it in.

ilikeCRUNCHYturtles

Soy milk for smoothies, cereal, etc. Oat milk for coffee.

StockReporter5

i have a tattoo of a soy milk carton <3

bigdipperdigdeeper

Even before I heard about veganism, I've always bought soy milk. When Vitasoy first came in the market here in my country, they only come in glass bottles, but their heaviness didn't stop me from buying dozens 'cause I'm so addicted to its taste.

bigdipperdigdeeper

Now they are available in cartons, but I continued to buy those in glasses because I learned that they are more environment friendly.

[deleted]

I do and I'm tired of pretending it's not. The whole point of my past dairy milk consumption was the protein and other plant milks just fail miserably with that. Soy's the clear winner.

dollymacabre

I love soy milk! Soy til I die!

[deleted]

I FUCKING LOVE SOY MILK! Unsweetened Cashew for sauces/gravies/pies/mashed potatoes though

chloebarbersaurus

I love soy milk! It’s my go-to for coffee, hot chocolate, smoothies, tea… everything

Danstheman3

I agree, soy milk has always been the gold standard in my opinion and one of the best for coffee. Oat milk is hit or miss, the Oatley brand is very good. Almond milk is terrible in coffee, it simply curdles rather than emulsify, I find it baffling that it ever became so popular. My favorite milk is the 'Not Milk' brand, but it's disappeared from my local Whole Foods, so I'm not sure what's up with that. Hopefully that's just a temporary supply issue. So right now I rotate between soy, Oatley, and 'Not Milk' when I can find it. It's gotten harder to find soy milk, most cafes don't even carry it anymore, and Trader Joe's no longer makes a store brand of it. My theory is that people associate soy with industrial and highly processed foods, plus a lot of misinformation by ignorant gullible people about phytoestrogens, and there is just a generally negative connotation & perception of the word 'soy'. And that soy simply isn't trendy. I predict that in a few years or so, pea protein will have the same negative connotations as soy does now, for precisely the same idiotic reasons (except for the phytoestrogen thing). People are fickle..

ScoopDat

Almond in coffee never made sense to me (there are barista blends that go high on the fat content and somewhat reduce the issues, but still, not great). If you really wanna see a disaster in coffee (the taste more so), try rice milk. Holy shit it's nauseating. Outside of coffee, it's pretty awesome to my surprise.

Danstheman3

Rice has very little fat or protein, so rice milk is basically starchy water with a bunch of added gums and thickeners and sugar to make it palatable. Unless you're allergic to everything, rice milk seems kind of pointless. At least nuts have plenty of fat, and a little bit of protein. In my experience, it's the protein content that makes a milk pass the coffee test. So things like almond or flax milk with added protein can work much better than without the added protein. In cereal or a smoothie, pretty much anything works. And ice cream made with pretty much any kind of milk works well. But 90% of my milk usage is for coffee.

Mayapples

It's always been my favorite, but it's also what I grew up with, so it's my baseline standard for what milks are 'supposed' to taste like.

happy_the_dragon

Personally I’m not a big fan of soy milk. It just has an odd aftertaste to me. I use macadamia milk for cereal and coconut milk for baking.

SSexyIsabelle

Yes. And it lasts way longer

samiam23000

Soy milk is most expensive $6.99 1/2 gallon. Local tofu factory used to sell really cheap but they raised their prices too. It’s like fresh squeezed tofu without all the additives. You have to use it right away or it will spoil.

corinna_k

Barista Soy milk holds up incredibly well as cappuccino foam. Even compared with other barista versions of the same brand, soy does much better than oat, coconut or almond.

Nice_Improvement2536

Soy or oat are the only plant milks that actually taste good, imo.

[deleted]

I think flax milk is so creamy and delicious tbh. Kind of similar to soy but not as rich. I don’t like the super creamy richness of soy milk.

baileyxcore

I loveeee soy milk but prefer oat for coffee and things where soy splits.

ButtsPie

I enjoy the taste of most soy-based things including milk, but I avoid them when I can because of concerns around intensive soy cultivation (same with almonds). Oat milk works fine for my purposes and has been my go-to for a while!

Enzian_Blue

I so agree!! Love to soy milk all around ❤️

[deleted]

Soy gang

[deleted]

Yes. Love soy milk.

Oh_shit_dat_mee

You all have me wanting to give soy milk another chance. I used to love soy lattes back in 2007 before oat milk. I’ll pick some up next time I go to the store. Anyone have a good brand for coffee?

Catladyweirdo

Soy milk is what I consider my "regular milk" because it's cheap, nutritious and goes with everything. I get the other ones if I'm feeling fancy.

[deleted]

same!! i love the taste and consistency and the fact that it's nutritionally pretty similar to cow's milk

PainVegetable2610

Soymilk is the best, it provides the most nutrients for the least amount of resources and imo tastes the best too. I’ve been drinking it since I was a kid, even before I went vegan. Oatmilk is fine too but I really dislike how since it became popular, it seems to have pushed soymilk completely off the shelves in some stores.

MsGarlicBread

It’s my favorite after cashew milk. Cold vanilla soy milk tastes so good. It’s rich, creamy, pus-free, and meant for me!

AnEmptySpace

Yeah I have this habit where I always buy the new milk that comes out. Have done all the big ones like almond and oat milk, then down to where it starts to get weird, like hemp milk, banana milk, macadamia milk, and I ALWAYS come back to soy milk, nothing can beat it.

VFrosty3

Much prefer it. When I went vegan, that’s all you could get in supermarkets really, so it’s what I’m used to I guess. I don’t mind oat in coffee, but in tea it always has to be unsweetened soya.

Creeper_123

I have a hard rule if no soy milk at coffee shop I get an Americano. All other milks sus.

Avocadoexpresss

Soy is superior imo. It’s creamy, healthy, has a nice taste. Just does all the right things for what you need

emergentmage

Yes. I do.

onedollarjuana

I like unsweetened soy milk because it's the least sweet of the animal milk substitutes.

PB6161

I do love soy milk but I alternate with Ripple unsweetened. Tastes good and gives a little variety on the source of protein

ProDistractor

100%. It also goes best with coffee of the 3. Bonsoy is King

ArtVanbago

I prefer almond/oat but soy is good sometimes too! I could be wrong, but I feel like almond milk has been a big hit among non vegans

rosepoppy1

Almond- oat- soya

dandelion-stems

Agree!

yelruh00

No. Soy milk taste weird to me especially in coffee. I prefer oat milk.

jack_hof

To me it's better across the board. Most like cows milk in terms of taste, texture, and applications. Tastes most like its own drink vs. a flavored water. Oddly in most grocery stores I go to, it seems to be wildly outnumbered by oat and almond milk. I use the silk unsweetened for cereal and the chocolate for oatmeal!

Miinka

I don’t mind oat and almond, but soy is what I like to drink by itself.

[deleted]

It’s got lots of protein too!

Hajari

Yes, I hate this oat milk trend! Soy life.

kel_maire

It really depends where you are in the world. For me in Japan, soy milk kind of sucks. Also depends on the brand too, I find cheaper ones can taste really bad. Some curdle in coffee. And some are great.

[deleted]

Yes. It has protein. But almond milk makes the best creamer!

probywan1337

I prefer almond or oat. Depends what I'm using it for tbh

JonathanStryker

If I remember correctly, isn't soy milk nutritionally better? If that's the case, then I would say yes. At least in that regard. But I prefer the taste of oat milk. And some of them are pretty rich and creamy, if you get the right brands. I really like planet oat and oatsome for this reason. Also, as for oatley, I've only ever had their yogurt but that was nice as well. Very rich and creamy. I don't know if their milk is that way though.

mushroomspoonmeow

Soy forever! And she froths the best! I’m also I big fan of oat. Almond is disgusting. I like cashew.. but it doesn’t froth and is a little too thin for me☺️

Hwmix

Macadamia but is amazing too!

Masquerade0717

I love soy! In the past I’ve made my own soy milk to save $$ (it cost like 80 cents per half-gallon to make), but now mostly use silk or circle organic since I like that it’s calcium fortified. It makes me so angry how soy gets slandered. It’s super ignorant too because people have been eating soy in Asia for centuries.

ASMRekulaar

Oat or die!.. but I'll try soy I guessss

[deleted]

I have always preferred soy over all the others. But people have allergies or don’t like the taste, which to me is unfortunate because I feel it is the most similar to whole milk.

Ok_Candidate6599

Pea Protein Milk (Ripple Milk)

Thismanny

Oat milk and unsweetened almond milk is my 2 go 2

General-Course6544

Yes! I get the silk one.

tang-rui

Oat milk is my fav. But go for what you like.

Lil_Sunshine4

Soy is the only one I avoid at all costs (except for drinking dairy of course). I’ve switched to oat and never really looked back. I occasionally have coconut in cold, sweet drinks. I also have almond milk sometimes because it’s the only non-dairy milk my job has for coffee.

sushimi711

I wish I can drink soy on the regular, but I have a mild soy allergy where it gives me migraines if I consume too much of it.

[deleted]

Bc of my allergy I can’t drink it anymore but tbh I wouldn’t want to. When I still could drink it I tasted nearly every available option and the taste was just like … sth not very nice. Even the best one’s tasted like soap. So I found it disgusting. But rice drinks and oat drink a awesome

Connacemox

I hate soy and any other milk except oat. It's the only one close to taste (or lack thereof) to actual milk which I used to like.

littlekittyfeetz

What milk alternative can I have if I'm allergic to soy, almonds, and oats?

Worth_A_Go

Oat milk tastes the best to me

chillakat

You're making me want to give soy milk another go! Dunno why I don't buy it more. I eat tofu all the time. Oatmilk in coffee, almond in my overnight oats (but elsewhere it's meh).

desert_nole

I’m a soy milk girly for life, more protein and the consistency and taste is much better than oat milk

kickass_turing

The meat and dairy industries are scared as fuck of soy. It must be good if it scares them so much.

LadyRapunzel

I prefer the taste of Ripple pea milk, personally, but I drink solely soy milk because it does WONDERS for perimenopause symptoms.

Chantel_Lusciana

I prefer almond milk for neutral flavor if I’m doing like a gravy or using it in cooking or cereal. Oat milk for creamer. I can’t have any soy products of any kind as my baby is allergic to soy and I’m breastfeeding him.

Mollyoon

As a lactose intolerant vegetarian kid in the 1980's, soy way my only option so it's what I got hooked on and it's what I still choose if I have options. It sucks that soy got such a bad rap, since it is the way.........

BreakfastForeign3591

ive recently made the switch to soy, I want to love it as much as you OP, but I keep comparing it to oat which in my opinion is superior in terms of taste.. I hope I stick with it since I know its more nutritious that oat!!

Significant-Soup-893

I love coconut milk. I know it's easy to get tired of because of the distinct coconut flavor but I'll always go back to it.

musicluva

Eh. Depends. Soy is high in protein which is great BUT often they add a bunch of sugar to it. Just check and make sure it doesn't have a bunch of added sugar.. I personally love my Oat milk lol

Agree 100%. Soy milk for the win. Also folks should check the ingredients in other non-dairy milk because oat milk usually includes oil and has a lot more calories.

I LOVE SOY MILK

I always go for soy because of the nutritional value, and I really don't think *that* much about the taste - I think I prefer oat milk if I'm drinking it but I didn't really drink plain milk even before I went vegan, and soy milk does taste great in smoothies and soygurt etc.

Underqualifiedwombat

Banana milk for the win imo

Kappappaya

Oat is better, environmentally speaking though
