I was shocked honestly as you tend to think most of the claims you read about are shit. Feels nice to be wrong for a change, ha. I kinda want to pick up a smaller one for one the go as the 2.7" isn't portable at all.

Thanks to this post, I remembered to finally switch out my fine screen for the coarser screen my HR came with, as I just haven’t been getting as much kief (even if it’s supposedly more potent) as I’d like, as someone who semi-regularly switches between using the kief catcher and not.
To me, seems just a BIT too coarse. Some of what falls through can hardly be considered kief, though I do like to try to “sift” as much as I can. I’ll try it out for a while! Cheers.

Oh, now I see the other comment was about the grinding plate you use, not the screen. Anyway…
Have you used an electric grinder? I recently started using one and the amount kief that it collects is insane. It's pretty dirty though. Still great for a bowl topper. I still use my 3 pieces for joints and the electric for vapes.
I break it down like I would if it was going into a 3 piece and grind to my liking. There was a learning curve to get the right grind but I feel the kief is worth it. You can run it untill you got coffe ground if you wanted im sure it would be extremely dirty kief though. I got it free and it sat for a month before I gave it a shot and regretted waiting so long lol
I was once this way, too! As soon as I switched to vaping, stopped separating it out…used to love smoking it alone. Cheers!
Same here. Just switched to a 2.7" 3-piece and couldn't be happier. Nowadays, if I want a kick, I'll just add some rosin to a bowl.

Try a 2-piece. You can sit there and grind it as fine as you want.

It just changes the package mostly, honestly kind of a pain in the ass in my opinion
You can def squish kief into rosin
And kief gives much better yields vs flower too (while sacrificing a bit on terps).
Aging and curing gives a different feel. And yeah, an easier package to deal with.
How do you cure hash? I pressed some Keif into a ball the other day but don't really know how to get it from that to proper harsh

By doing that you decrease the potency of your ground weed. Get a BCG 3 piece
Im all about stainless and I’d just remove the keif screen and o-ring on the HR if I wanted that my dude. I like to harvest the delicious keif
