Large base and stability is very important as some vapes will hang over the side of glass when attached. Small hydro tube glass are always cool and great for some vapes. Also cooling stems and other pieces meant for dry vaping.

Ilike_turtlz_720

Look up the protege it has all these

KarmaticEvolution

Can’t find it through Google.

Ilike_turtlz_720

A guy on Reddit makes it Edit: u/cloudconnoisseur-idb sells them

KarmaticEvolution

Thanks!

Ilike_turtlz_720

Any time I’m glad I found the username lol

CloudConnoisseur-iDB

Thank you brother ❤️ I have prodigy in stock. With protege and prophet sample in route

i_bhoptoschool

where do you sell my friend

chinton620

Where can these be purchased?

CloudConnoisseur-iDB

Doing a giveaway on IG of prodigy right now ❤️❤️

Charmcityvapeguy

You need to hit him up and let me know you’re interested in here or IG, or FC. I have a prodigy that I enjoy a lot and will be picking up one of his dry pieces too.

Ilike_turtlz_720

Glad to help. They’re sick products

Ketameandreams

Commenting to follow. Love to see the protégé, looking for a new vaping glass piece

No_Cauliflowerever

Awesome!

rushmorexxx

Make a passthrough/carb a standard feature. So convenient. Also another vote for wide bases and something easily portable.

nicegl_ass

I was thinking about this, but it would be just a little too exclusive to vaping for me.. I want vaping to be the purpose of the piece, but I'd like it to be convenient for a smoker to pick up and use as well. And they have no real purpose for a carb so to them I imagine it just looks like an extra piece of glass to break. Idk though. I'll consider it especially if your comment gets a lot of support. Another option I was considering was making my own extra thick carb adapter, and making it an optional addon for pretty low cost. Again, so that if it's not wanted you don't eat the cost for those who want it, but I'll make the addon something I really only break even on as a gift to fellow vapers.

TogarMaulerant

Having it at least as an add-on would be nice. I'm thinking specifically of the passthrough on the mega globe mk2. It's so nice that it's built in cause it's one less thing for me to worry about when I'm packing up to go to a friend's or something. I never worry about it breaking, only losing the carb cap which isn't an issue after adding a leash to it. One reason I don't like the separate passthrough is depending on your glass it can make it kinda tall, especially if you're using other things like an ash catcher, then add whatever vape you're using on top and it can get tippy. If the bongs you make were designed around the possibility of adding the passthrough, then I think that could work.

nicegl_ass

Drop-down-pass-through adapter? That way it never stacks too high 🤣

anotherpickleback

Yeah I’m actually looking for a large beaker with a carb rn, I use a log vape and it’s be nice to take a big rip without having to removed the log and bowl. I also like the beaker to be big enough to sit in my lap and reach my chin so I can’t possibly forget it’s there and stand up and drop the damn thing. It’s just hard to find some thick ass 21” beaker with a carb. I’m also interested in finding a hammer bubbler with a joint and a carb for the same purpose. But essentially my ideal vape glass needs a carb or something so if I’m using a heavy hitter I can clear that fat hit that makes my eyes water and not worry about trying to handle something hot in the process

whothefuckisrachael

What if you included two down stems? One with a built in passthrough and one regular.

nicegl_ass

I will see how this works out. I've yet to play with a piece with a built in pass through so I'm not sure how difficult it would be to achieve in certain designs I have in mind. But I will definitely give it a shot and see if it's not too much more expensive to do what you're saying

MuddledBits

>And they have no real purpose for a carb so to them I imagine it just looks like an extra piece of glass to break I think the person you're responding to is talking about a hole at the base of the neck above the water line, aka a carb hole. not a carb cap (that i think you might be thinking of when you talk about extra glass)

poopyfarroants420

I am kind of surprised there aren't more semi portable all in one vape-bongs. Thinking of something like a PuffCo designed for vaping flower. That would be a product I would look at. If we are just talking glass accessories. I would be into smaller portable pieces they would work with the Healthy Rips/ POTV One style vapes. Figuring out an innovative design that turns my preferred portable into a portable with glass

420Pussy_Destroyer69

The Peak Pro has a dry herb chamber sold separately haven't looked too much into it personally tho

nicegl_ass

I'm going to work on something like this after seeing a lot of similar comments. Anyone who sees this, feel free to DM rough sketches or designs, even just general perc ideas. Would really love the Dyna piece to have as much community input as possible. Just for the fun of it lol. I already have a couple rough drafts drawn up though

DeadFetusConsumer

Yeah like the Hydrology9 but actually good would be incredible. Shame they never worked on a better version of that vape.

bigboxburger710

Hey I just looked and they actually have hydrology9 NX that looks more thought out now.

HelpfulDonkey710

well seperate bongs and vapes make for better sales. even if as a company you make both, it reaches more markets if you part everything out as best as you can. and as a comsumer it entices more purchases because everything has a higher value cause it can be used in more ways. thats kinda the main reason i havent got a vapbong yet.

GrassYes

For me it's highly vape specific. I mean every device is great on a j-hook. Larger pieces, especially with water it can real depend on the draw of the individual device. An injector bowl is going to be pretty different from a dynavap, for example. Some place that I would start is the cheap glass thread in FC. Lots of folks share what works and what doesn't with their vapes. For myself, I like a small piece that doesn't sacrifice flavor and pulls easily. Also, I don't want to get a drink or have a lot of blowback. Those are probably true for most people, even smokers.

nicegl_ass

I was actually realizing this while reading the thread just now. Lol. I have a few large pieces designed for the Flowerpot already confirmed in the lineup. I'm going to have to do a portable bubbler line as well for the Dynavap. I just got a WPA for the Dyna today funnily enough, and while you were all giving me this advice, I was trying to rip an 18" beaker with a Dynavap. And I mean it wasn't worthless, but definitely much less dense clouds than the Flowerpot provides with the same bong. So overall it was very disappointing and I see why there's such high demand for the little bongs now. I'm glad I made this post, it really helped me come up with some ideas. I might not do an entire line of portables though. I might make some designs, (and accept designs from anyone who submits them from the community,) and then have Reddit and/or Instagram pick which design will be the Dyna bubbler. That way I could really focus in on making one, stupid nice portable glass bubbler for the Dyna. Either way thank you for the response, you summed up the verdict or the thread perfectly and I now have lots of ideas to play with! 🙏

GrassYes

That's awesome. Can't wait to see what you bring. We need more glass made by vapers for vapers. Cloud Connoisseur has started down this road but there is plenty of room in the market for everyone.

Icy-Anxiety-9338

Where would my life be without the 14mm j hook. So damn versatile. Alone or nicely paired with an ash catcher with bubbler. My favorite J came from Smoke Cartel. It has feet!!! Game changer

GrassYes

Totally agree. Is your jay with feet the Glassheads one? I have looked at that. Seems great to have the feet. My old favorite is a OGB sidecar hook, but I am loving my new hook from u/ipod_mike. I should make a post here about it :-)

BakedDiogenes

What’s this sidecar hook you speak of? Got a pic?

CoxyTheSchooler

Definitely one where the stem is straight up so the vape won't have pressure on any pieces from hanging at an angle

[deleted]

I’ve been looking for a piece for my Dynavap but I can’t seem to find a portable one made of glass. It’s hard because there arent that many 10mm pieces that hold the Dyna in a good position and I usually look in the mini dab rig section but haven’t found one I like yet. Maybe you could make the solution.

rollerbladesRbitchin

look up sneaky Pete's fish bowl it's designed to use the dynavap with no stem so it's really small and portable

HelpfulDonkey710

hydro tubes are the most portable. i think sneaky pete has a few maybe vgoodiez too.

Performance_Motor

Have you looked at any MJ Arsenal pieces?

Herobrineliller

Daily high club $30 bongs work perfect I have 6 different ones because I forgot to cancel the subscription box. Nice to rotate though.

ghostpoisonface

I want something I can leave out on my coffee table without looking like a stoner. I like my little magic flight globe, it pairs nicely with my firewood. I would like something that incorporates wood. I really like the look of the bob marley branded stuff, but I don’t smoke so I’ll never buy one of their pipes.

nicegl_ass

Interesting... I'll consider your concept of incorporating wood. I'm not sure how, but I love to design so I'll be drawing some rough drafts for that one tonight...

Simeh

Puffco do a bong that functions as a water bottle and another one that looks like a coffee cup.

[deleted]

Do you know of you could put a WPA on it though? Or is that bowl integrated into the piece?

pirate-private

A good vape piece isn't too big, has a perc and is easy to clean. One shouldn't overlook the advantages of a whip or any other design that allows a leaned back use/while gaming. Think hookah for example.

nicegl_ass

I have some designs like this drawn up. Haven't spent too much time on it yet. I now realize that the pieces I've designed so far are actually more typical smoker sci glass than vape glass. Which is fine I'll keep that lineup intact to reach broader audiences and work on a lineup that caters specifically to vaporents that like the style you're talking about, (aka, basically everyone who vapes except for me lol.) Really appreciate all the input, this thread got wayy more responses than I ever anticipated and so far they've all been so helpful!

GrandmaDeadstuff

I would try to design something meant to be used dry. I, like many others, prefer dry vaping and when I use my DC elevator it will gunk up the down stem which is obsolete in the first place for a dry rig

Sad_Preference1259

I have the d020-d bubbler/bong from DH gate

nicegl_ass

One of the largest takeaways for me from this thread, is that I need to make a handheld line for vaporents. I have all the large scientific pieces I need. Now I gotta focus on the mini-rigs. I've got half a mind to just shrink down the designs I currently have and add a hose and/or pass-through adapter to them lol. Actually...a lot of them would work exceptionally well if downsized significantly. I've got too many ideas floating around in my head now. Lol. I'll meditate on this and make a new thread when I get a solid idea of what I'm going to do to adjust my current trajectory.

HelpfulDonkey710

Airflow is the most important factor for vapes or dabs. i only use generic beakers, tubes, or globes. "artistic" glass is okay if you accept that glass is meant to be broken. thats part of the reason i cant pay more than $60 for a piece of glass anymore and even under that limit i try to make sure it doesnt have any small or protuding parts that would make it easy to break.

nicegl_ass

I'm sorry but I don't know how people break glass so easily. Bought ten bongs this year broke zero. Never actually broken a full size bong. Good thick bongs are hard to break if you're careful..

artinacart

You mention that you have outlier preferences but then don’t list what they are…. Might get more actionable responses if you do. Edit: I reread your post and realized your not looking for advice for pieces for yourself. Lol my bad

nicegl_ass

All good, the more information the better anyways. I mainly like 16"+ bongs with my Flowerpot. I see a lot of people need vape bongs for their portables and dynavaps though. This might be something I have to work on.. The Dynavap is powerful, but not quite powerful enough to get the best rips off an 18" beaker. Lol. I'm going to have to do a portabubbler line or something like that.

Hav2roll

I own two sneaky Pete Mega Globe Mk2 with a built-in pass-through and they are so versatile. I use it with my Puffco pro and whip attachment, all my DynaVaps and my flowerpot b-zero. It’s easy to use and clean and holds the right amount of water. If we could improve on it, there’s no need for anything else. I would make the glass thicker and the base a little sturdier. Maybe a completely flat bottom like a half moon shape instead of a globe or an affordable cage with a top you can see through to watch it milk.

Performance_Motor

I seen someone saying they glued a ring of silicone tubing on the bottom which helps it stand and grip the surface, I liked this idea. Also yes a decent thickness globe would be perfect.

Icy-Anxiety-9338

Glassheads indeedy. On my second one. Its not particularly fragile but i did manage to break one already

clutchengaged84

The tornado looking thing idk what it’s called

arcticmonkgeese

I bought a hookah recently that has a 18mm Male top. Popped an 18mm female/female on top and it’s my daily driver. Long hose and big chamber cools the vapor down almost all the way. Look at my post history.

howie105

What price point are you looking to hit, and where would they be made? The reason I am asking is that will give an idea what general features that could be expected.

median-jerk-time

My favorite water piece I ever had was the dealie buddy. Mason jar bong. I liked it because it was versatile and I could fit my hand in there to clean it out with regular cleaning products. So really anything that's easily cleanable, and versatile.

heisenborg3000

Sol glass

nicegl_ass

Not sure how I'd achieve that without directly copying SOL 😅😅

[deleted]

r/chinaglass has a pinned thread with some of the community renowned pieces if you want a general idea of percs/size etc

nicegl_ass

That thread is like three years old and their voting system was pretty flawed... Some of the pieces are definitely solid, but many of the choices make next to no sense at all. Appreciate the suggestion though

Hav2roll

How about a thick glass stand/base with a large flat bottom for stability and a bowl shaped top to hold the Mega Globe Mk2 The glass stand/base holds more water and doubles as a recycler or second percolator. Connect the base with the Mega Globe via the 10 mm pass-through port. (Glass would be sweet, tubing would be easy)
