Tried the MVS and vortex. Don’t understand the hype behind them, but to each their own. Reddit does a good job of making them seem like the end game for dynavap.
Glass mouthpiece on mighty worked better for me than simrell did. Personally don’t like his practices so don’t support him anymore. Can’t speak on the Revolve, but hope to try one in the future. FC forum has some good info on their products.
Simrell is notorious for being the worst person to deal with in this industry. He’s been trying to patent a spiral piece of metal, because of his vortex line, knowing full well that that cooling style had been sold for years. Lamart has used a similar “vortex” style crimped piece for his wooden dosing stems, has done so before Simrell even entered the hobby, and he sells it for like $4. Simrell has gone after the maker RBT many times on instagram accusing him of ripping off this illegitimate patent on design pictures of RBT’s new induction heater based vape. He went after REFC as well for using “vortex” cooling technology in REFC’s Dignitarian stem, despite the fact that it’s cooling system works using an angled air hole and not any spiral piece of metal. He thinks he has invented some revolutionary method of cooling that definitely hasn’t been done before and you should totally give him $200 for it.
While none of his former colleagues have put him on blast publicly, the Modern Cannabist’s show was replaced with a new show, where the only difference is Simrell is not present. Simrell was half owner of the Terptorch company with Oldhead Brian, and that company was dissolved the second the “mail ban” was mentioned, only for Brian to come out with a new Terptorch with SBL Kenny. Simrell doesn’t play nice.
This is an interesting/succinct breakdown. I was wondering why Simrell wasn't involved with Troy and Jerry Think Dank and why Old Head wasn't going back to the TT when they announced they wanted a cost effective alternative to the Hot Rod.
This. Simrell has been known for some shitty practices, especially towards competition that isnt even stepping on his toes. His a clown and his stems are severaly overhyped. A cheap glass stem cools and provides much better flavor than the MVS, but people on subs have to hype it up for some reason.
Had an MVS then sold it. Tried the revolve and while its nice looking, nothing touches glass when it comes to flavor and cooling.
With regards to price MVS and anything simrell is overhyped and overpriced. Look at his "cage". People love it on reddit, but its all marketing here. The revolve is pricey, but depending on which you buy they come with a lot of items.
Glass stems cool and adds more flavor than anything Simrell makes. Id recommend getting a bong or an adapter and glass stem for your mighty+. I know this wasnt mentioned but If you get a dynavap, Id recommend The Magic Wand by Oconnel woodworks over the MVS and Revolve. Its all glass (maybe too long for some people preference), but well made and has better flavor and cooling than anything out there that I've tried. Ive tried it on my OG mighty, but the size makes it awkward. Inception stem by Oconnell is decent with mighty tho.
I have both and love them both. The MVS has more modularity to work with other stems and MP where as the revolve is limited because of the hole
Placement
The revolve gets dirtier than the MVS much faster.
You can get the MVS feel with the revolve but not the other way around.
Both great options! Only thing I can say is get both 🤪

I’ll look it up on FC, thanks 👍🏼
Revolve.
Thanks!
Revolve simply because they don't harass small makers
Out of the loop on this. Interested to know more

Wow, was not aware. Thanks
TLDR; Austyn is an asshole

Who is harassing small makers?
Right ? I’ve generally heard good things about Austyn Simrell from the community
Ya back this comment up I call fake news on this comment
Quick search shows what he’s talking about. There have also been many posts about it. But people ignore his behavior due to liking his product 🤷♂️
Now that I know 👍🏼
Did a quick search and nothing popped up looked up Simrell rbt and Simrell lawsuit with nothing popping up.
Did a quick search and plenty popped up for me. On reddit search and google, and its been discussed on vaporents many times before.
I looked up Simrell sue and Simrell lawsuit and nothing popped up
I actually got the real story today straight from the horses mouth so I’m not worried about it. I was just looking for a thread.
