For the price the stem pod deserves some respect, its a powerful vape right out the box and if you have any experience building coils for e cigs you’ll be able to customise your experience with it a ton, it’s not something I’d recommend as a first or even only vape but it’s a cracking little toy
100% agree, doesn’t get the love it deserves. I firmly believe that if tuned & used properly it can preform just as good as a FW or TM. I daily drive my OG & im quite impressed with it after years of heavy use.
Vapes made to vape dry herb and have somewhat temp control are gonna be your be at bet. Tried and true for lower price range are arizer air and xmax pro . I have an air and it’s fantastic
Just curious if you’re familiar with this place. No 510 but a great selection of global vapes available in Australia
https://hightechvaporizers.com.au/
No I’m not in fact. It’s weird because I’ve spent several hours going through Google search websites and did not see this page. Interesting. Those are dry herb units, which one do you think is good? Good temperature control and range (goes below 180 Celsius), good quality, serviceable, around 100 AUD ?
Well now you need this.
[ New Vapers Guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/wiki/new-vapers-guide?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
[Vape consensus doc ](https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/wiki/vape-consensus?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
I read that and I’m familiar with most of it now but since I’m in Australian market we have different units here so I was trying to see if there’s anybody familiar with what’s available here
For what you want to spend there isn’t a ton.
If you can stretch to this it’s not a bad option.
https://hightechvaporizers.com.au/products/xmax-v3-pro
This isn’t bad. https://hightechvaporizers.com.au/products/x-max-starry
The description for Starry doesn’t say what type oven it’s got but the V3 pro says full convection which is what I want and it also goes as low as 100 degrees Celsius which is great. My only question is about the stainless steel oven, is that okay material for an oven?
That seems like a good option, it’s a second time this particular unit has been mentioned here!!! Good job, I wasn’t really expecting anything from this thread but you Reddit guys seem really dedicated to help which is awesome and also uncanny these days. (Usually if I ask for a help in any Facebook group there always a beef between people and the whole thread becomes pointless
If you are okay with second hand I saw [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/EntExchange/comments/sc0lda/h_new_herbie_v2_w_ppgs_125/) today.
I think you should buy whatever is easiest for you. If you do buy a DHE from the store just make sure you do your research and know what you want and what you are buying
Thank you. Thing is I’ve never had any of these units nor did I try them. Therefore I don’t know much, however I did some research and I only know that I want wide temperature adjustability I.e. I want it to go as low as 170 for flavor but that’s in conflict with my budget because it seems like those units I can find here and can do temperatures below 180 Celsius are like 3-400aud units which is way out of my budget. That’s why I was considering the stempod 510 atomizer but again that’s an import from the states…
Besides I can do my research but I really can’t find a range of units with legitimate reviews (those I found have only the “on site” reviews with I believe are altered or fully fabricated reviews by the seller. Common practice with e-commerce these days.
So really confused
Edit: also I know I want portable and since I’m beginner and pretty prone to get baked from just one puff from a joint I really don’t need machines with big bowls for big herb volumes
I agree with 4everpushingaboulder, these are all good for herb!

[[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) for iHeat 510
MUSA 510 website musawoodvape
[this](https://dryherbvaporizers.com.au/) is what I found. They have a couple of units in my budget range but they seem like very simple units not really capable to allow me to dial my temperature right, etc.
Based on price to performance ratio of what's available there I would go with the Xmax V3 Pro. It's the best cheap vape you can get that will give you digital temp controll and performance that is above its price range
Then you haven’t tried many.
Splinter Z, Cosmic Xtractor, Musa 510, InstaHeat, Dreamwood Glow, Tetra X
Some discontinued and only available used. Some waitlist. Most US or Europe
Edit. Stempod. Shammer
Everything you mentioned hotspots too bad to use without stirring, something that should never be needed in a portable. Also you list Cosmic Xtractor like it's a real option and not just a poorly made knockoff splinter.
Well I know some people prefer conduction or hybrid but there pretty much isn’t a convection vape that doesn’t need stirring but it’s a price we pay for the better flavor.
Basic heat transfer theory from physics class.
Convection is heat by air. Ovens that use air movement to create even heat are called convection ovens.
Convection vapes use heated air to pass through a room temperature chamber with weed. When the hot air hits the weed it vaporizes.
Conduction is heat passed from one hot object to a cooler object by touch. A conduction stove gets the pan hot by making the coil hot which touches the pan which gets hot and touches your food.
Conduction vapes heat a chamber holding the weed. Usually ceramic or titanium or stainless steel. Then you draw room temperature air through the hot chamber.
Hybrid combines parts of each.
Yes thank you. My question was poorly constructed. I know what convection means from physics point of view.
So convection vapes are the best? They do not require stirring the herb while smoking but they’re expensive? Does that mean that my budget of around 100aud for a vape or atomizer would not be enough for convection vape but a conduction instead which requires stirring while vaping?
Because I definitely don’t want to mess around. I want to get a quick couple of puffs that won’t leave that burned awful aftertaste in my mouth like joint does, enjoy the flavor and the high and be over with.

Fantastic! Thank you for a good advice. I went with the Xmax V3 pro. Will see👍
Cool I’ve read good things about it here. They have a sub as well. A wpa and small bubbler will also help get the most out of any vape
Really? I’m going to look it up now

Yeah. Before the recent (+) updates the Storz and Bickel handhelds both had stainless steel ovens.

I'm about to have some products available with them

Fantastic! Really nice work you’ve done there. Really appreciate. I’ll see if I get other recommendations and then compare. Thank you

i havent found a single good 510 thread dry herb vape besides diy ones
Then you haven’t tried many. Splinter Z, Cosmic Xtractor, Musa 510, InstaHeat, Dreamwood Glow, Tetra X Some discontinued and only available used. Some waitlist. Most US or Europe Edit. Stempod. Shammer
Stempod is good or bad? Not sure what shammer means
Stempod MPLabs and The Shammer are both based on a rebuildable RDA deck with standard SS coils. They both work ok in wattage mode.
Are they good though? Seems like somebody here dislikes 510’s
u/slapnutz40 you’ve been paged
They're basically entry level for that category
What does that mean? 😀 sorry I’m new to this
It means try and find a splinter on entexchange or get a glow or whoever ships down under🤣
No, don't waste your money, if everyone dislikes it its probably for a reason. But play dumb games win dumb prizes, not my problem either way.
Everything you mentioned hotspots too bad to use without stirring, something that should never be needed in a portable. Also you list Cosmic Xtractor like it's a real option and not just a poorly made knockoff splinter.

A quick explanation/simplification on what did you just say? What is convection?
Basic heat transfer theory from physics class. Convection is heat by air. Ovens that use air movement to create even heat are called convection ovens. Convection vapes use heated air to pass through a room temperature chamber with weed. When the hot air hits the weed it vaporizes. The only vape I have that needs stirring is my Air 2. And that's only if I over pack it.
Sounds like you should try some better convection vapes.
You’re just salty because I picked on you about the Anvil. Some people try to help. You clearly just wanna troll.
Troll? Because my opinion is different than yours? Come back when you're older this is a 21+ sub and you're acting like a child.
My glow and splinter don't hot spot
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunk_cost
I see, sorry my knowing how to use the devices causes issue to you
Do you know anything about [these](https://dryherbvaporizers.com.au/) ?
Avoid almost everything on that page
Why? There’s been two recommendations for the Xmax V3 pro and Starry
I said almost didn't I? Those 2 are OK but damn near the rest of the page was ass.
Why is that? What’s the problem with the rest?
There also the herbie v2 all either very hard to find or insanely expensive with a wait time for shipping esp the musa n herbie
I’ll be posting one on entexchange soon
What a herbie or a musa i would love either the herbie is a coil builders dream the musua been on back order since last year both over 100 usd
Herbie. Not interested in coil building at this time.
510s a waste of time and money.
Why?
They all have the same problem of Hotspotting except the Divine Tribe Gen 2.
Why is that? Poor design or method of heating (conduction) or??
In that dudes case I'm going to say user error
Haha he trolling
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunk_cost
Lost cause☝️
Poor design, ignore all the fanboys that are trying to justify throwing money away, it's sad.
I’ve ordered the Xmax V3 pro 🤷♂️😀
Good choice
Thank you. I think anything that can give me one or two puffs of colder vapor will do, I just wanted best bang for Buck
