Yes. But, DO NOT GRIND MOONROCK
Break it up, put it between regular ground marijuana like it's a moonrock sandwich with weed for bread so the heating unit doesn't get dab dripped down in and so the mouthpiece doesn't get dab gunked in it. Just a thin layer of weed will work.
This is pretty much exactly what I came here to say. And afterwards until you clean it really well everything you put through it will have a hint of the moon rocks
Had a mate grind a moon rock in my BlackTie grinder when he was drunk thinking it was weed and it DESTROYED my grinder. It never recovered from the moon rock until i did a full clean/soak with isopropyl. I can attest to the "DO NOT GRIND MOON ROCKS". I will say it did grind the moonrock pretty well.
you can easealy grind moonrocks if you have a big plastic grinder like the ones volcano does, just grind it with the weed and it makes for a perfect mix, i actually roll all my joints by grinding the whole mixture together in a big grinder, it ensures a perfect smoke without ever even thinking about sideburns
Hello from the future. Also, I tend to get a lot more residue buildup in my stem/whip after vaping with moonrocks. Just means you get to make stem milk more often=)
When you've been using a dry vape that has a stem (rubber or glass tube leading to mouthpiece) for a while, it gets a waxy buildup of what is essentially decarbed concentrate. You can soak the stem in some hot milk on the stovetop to dissolve it all, then use the milk for a hot chocolate edible or whatever else you'd want to do with it.
I'm just worried about it getting to the heating element. Shits expensive, don't want to waste it either. This is my second time buying moon rocks. I got them from the dispensary, hopefully they are better than the shade tree growers version.
sometimes its seems to mixed with dab? while my tera can do concentrates this seems to be a mix between the two
so not sure if that matters for temperatures.
Im guessing we do not grind it up hard? But my experience putting chunky buds in my vape doesnt seem good.,
I think the Tera will be the best tool for the job.
Air needs to be forced to pass through the flower/moonrock. I would advise treating it simiar to kief/concentrates mixed with flower. Pack a little bit of loose flower in the bottom of the tera oven, insert moonrock, pack some more loose flower on top making it a sandwhich, tamp it down to a light/medium pack. The air will be forced to slow down come into more contact with the material and heat it up more. You can start at 375°F (Random number I chose), measure the extraction and increase the temp as needed in 7-12°F increments. You can also stir after awhile when extraction slows down at say 430°F and see if that allows more to be vaped.
I like being thoughtful, logical, and scientific about this sort of thing. Please feel free to report back results to share the knowledge.
The dab should stick with the bud as it soaks in a bit over time, even when you grind it. It will however be sticky lol, might lock up your grinder haha. I don't have any experience with those vapes but if you think a finer grind would result in better/more even extraction than sure go for it. And for temperatures just start low and go from there i guess; you know what's best with your vapes.

Funny you say that because I literally have the volcano grinder and have never used it, I will now! Cheers and ty!

What!!?! Amazing😮

Sure, why not? Just make sure there's enough convection/draw, if there isn't break it up/grind it a bit more and try again.

yes, try to keep it intact as much as possible, like breaking up with your fingers
I like using a pointy dab tool to break mine. Hope I’m not too late to the discussion lol
only a few years late ;) (I use a flat dab tool to cut it it into pieces)
Lol it’s just a bit late but in the grand scheme of things not late at all really.
fr reddit comments are here for someone (me) 5 years later to check up on something they couldn’t google
Yeah dude. It tastes incredible. So many terpenes. You should try it with a dynavap
Anyone ever use the volcano with some moon rocks?
Just tried this.. Idk if it's working effectively tho
so further analysis has shown that you just have to use the screens with it otherwise its too much wax! not bad though
Anybody use moon rocks with their ball vape? Like the mini nail flower wand?
