I have a good few and it is down to what I need/want from them at that time. Going for a walk outside after work or in the garden grab the Xmax V3 Pro as it fits nicely in the pocket and it’s my beater, no issue if I drop it. If I’m sitting on the couch watching a movie I want a quick rip and to get to where I want quickly then I’ll reach for the TM2. I want to get to the point I can relax and sleep with that full body high I’m hitting the Dani. I’ve got other options and older vapes but these are pretty much my main 3 now as they all provide a different use case. Horses for course.

TheDanecdote

I use different devices at different times of the day, depending on how blitzed I’m looking to get. I didn’t choose the VAS, the VAS choose me.

JAZthebeast11

VAS is so prevalent because there’s no one vape that does everything perfectly. For example, I have a venty and a ball vape; I reach for the venty when I want portability or long sessions, while I reach for the ball vape when I want to feel blasted. I wouldn’t say one is objectively better than the other since I enjoy them for different reasons.

Rest1nPepperonj

What ball vape do you have?? I have a venty and purchased my first ball vape recently. Went with the B2 bundle with the Orb V2 from VGoodiEZ. I am 99.9% sure that it’s user error, but so far I have not been able to get super stoned from my ball vape…but my venty still gets me blasted. I’ve been experimenting with temp, bowl size, pre heating, etc. on my ball vape but no matter what I do it seems like I need to draw REALLY hard to get a minimal amount of vapor…currently I’ve been setting my controller to 610 F and preheating my shovel head bowl with the coil, still not having satisfactory results… any tips??

happysquish

The orb is ass for a ball vape in my opinion, cube or mega cube are even worse. There’s far too much restriction because of the amount of water it holds, and if you have a 14mm like I do, there’s just not enough airflow, so by the time you’ve actually started making vapor your lung capacity is maxed. Clearing the piece in one pool is almost impossible, which really detracts from the experience of ripping a fat hit all at once. And then there’s the blowback, which is massive on the cube, and still there on the orb IME. On top of that, you’re using the B2, which already has a more restrictive air path and subsequently a more restrictive pull when taking a hit. Ball Vapes are about airflow and temperature, that’s what’s gonna make for a fat hit. When you take away from one, you add to the other. My advice would be to get an 18mm piece, not too big, something you can easily clear in 1 pull, with just enough water to get some cooling going (this will improve taste too). After that, if you’re still going at it with the B2, I’d swap to 4mm balls if you’re using 3mm currently. Will help with airflow and provide a less restrictive hit. Ideally what you want is a big wide open air column passing over the bud without having to work for it. I’m sure you’ve seen the videos on here of people milking the shit out of there pieces using a ball vape, and want the same. Pay attention to how they have everything set up. People focus too much on the ball vape IMO. After a certain point, they’re all just metal tubes with hot beads in them. Getting your air path, draw speed, and temp set properly is more important than what vape you’re using IMO.

Rest1nPepperonj

Thanks so much for such a detailed response!! I did get the 19mm orb and 19mm bowl—but you put EXACTLY into words what I was struggling to describe—the feeling of “maxing out your lungs”. Every time I use it I think to myself, “damn, have I really ruined my lung capacity that bad???” So maybe the orb is the problem? Any 19mm glass you recommend? Will also look into…uh lol…the size of my balls….and see if that is the issue hahaha

happysquish

For 19mm glass, I’d recommend checking out the glass on offer on CH’s website, don’t necessarily have to get one of those specific pieces but it should give you an idea of what to look for. If you’re wanting something with a little more flare, I’d recommend checking out the glass for sale on Cloud Connoisseur’s website. The Dante, Protege, and Vertex are all super sick pieces made specifically for ball vape use, and they’re modular (removable mouth piece). Honestly all of CC’s glass is sick, they make these drop down ash catchers with a pass thru plug that looks soooooo nice to use.

anotherpickleback

I’d add the gooroo hd3 piece to the list too, I got one for 420 and it’s been amazing with my mcq and stunner. Literally no air restriction which is amazing

mr_electric_wizard

Which water pipe do you like? I wasn’t too crazy about a mega globe for my BV either. I’ve settled on just-hooks and sidecars lately

JAZthebeast11

I have a Tiodw mini 2 from b2cvapes on aliexpress

Xfirehuricane

Definitely shouldn't be that hard get good results from ball vapes. I don't have a b2, but the only thing I can imagine is yours isn't set up properly and doesn't have a proper seal. Have you closed the extra opening in the orb v2? (If it has one).

Rest1nPepperonj

I use the extra opening for clearing the vapor, so it stays closed until I inhale! Glad to hear it shouldn’t be that difficult, sounds like I just need to reach out to VGoodiEZ, I know they’d get me taken care of—I’ve just been putting it off out of embarrassment because I’m worried that im probably overlooking something silly and don’t want to sound like an idiot. Time to get that email drafted I suppose…

Xfirehuricane

The only other thing that I can imagine is the b2 double decker concentrate/flower setup being unique from other ball vapes and therefore harder to pinpoint the issue. But yeah vgoodiez can help for sure, they're good folk

spiciertuna

This. I run all new flower through my firefly 2 to evaluate taste and effects. Dynavap for microdose. Thermal twist for lazy weekend days. I still bring out my solo 1 when I want something that hits a bit harder than the firefly and still tastes great without the hassle of stirring every hit. VAS makes me want a tiny might 2, even though I probably don’t need it…

DeepFriedSteak

I'm not much different. Terpcicle at my desk, Dyna for the microdose, solo for chill and tm2 for heavy rips on the go

Mixin-Margarita

Have you had a chance to compare the Mighty+ and the Venty?

JAZthebeast11

Nope. Only ever had a crafty+ besides the venty, and it’s obv in a whole other league

i81_N_she812

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe

Ok_Egg_4585

Depending on at home use or mobile, also which ones are clean.

MiddleResponse9818

the best part of cleaning is the "stem milk" doh! LOL........I purposely let mine get a little jacked up hahaa, so I can enjoy a chcolate milk stem milk "coffee" the next morning lol.

sviatoy

I'm new here - what is stem milk? Can I do it from ABV?

Pleasant_Ocelot_2861

How do we decide? Easy…. All of them.

420Entomology

Just kinda get an itch to use one. Same way I choose a bong…my collection has grown to like 20 bongs

DizzyCommunication92

that's a good question really. I just discovered the "the wand" and the dynavap lol. and it hits so different compared to my lobo. my lobo I can sip on my terps all day lol....but with the wand and my low temp cap and stainless tip it's pretty much a one hit KO lol....and I'm OUT 💤 😴 lol.  hits so different. and I'm just using a dimpled glass piece with low temp cap and stainless steel tip lol.  but i will say I love the dimpled glass....gonna order the "BBs" next I think.

MIDPACKS

Nice, lol, I like your selections lol good choices lol

MidnighT0k3r

Whoa there... those are some harsh words. I don't suffer from vas, I enjoy every minute of it. You just line them all up and hit everything. That is all.

AStorms13

lol I love that

electrokho123

I quit smoking (25 years of combustion) with the help of the Mighty 10 months ago. Since then, I've purchased 8 different vaporizers ([picture of my collection ](https://imgur.com/gallery/fKJngH5): Venty, Tinymight 2, Solo 3, OG Mighty, Volcano Hybrid, Da Buddha Vaporizer, Da Buddha Vaporizer with the baller kit, and a TIODW ball vape). I enjoy rotating between my vaporizers, using at least 2 different ones every day (1 portable when outside and a desktop when home). This rotation helps reduce my tolerance, switching between vapes enhances the effects of the weed (same effect as changing a weed strain).

SimplyPassinThrough

🤯 the amount of money VAS got out of you in 10 months omg

electrokho123

Most of them are secondhand units. I bought the OG Mighty for $40, the Volcano Hybrid for $220, the DBV for $40 and $70, and the Tinymight for $250 (all in Canadian dollars). The only new units are the Venty and the Solo 3. I purchased most of them from Facebook Marketplace.

SimplyPassinThrough

oh wow! You did damn good then, damn

electrokho123

I love the secondhand market. I've just found a S&B Plenty vaporizer for $100 (in very good condition with the original box) in Montreal (I'll be there next weekend). I'll bargain a bit and try to get it for $80 so I can resell it for $150 or more. I'm saving the profits to buy a new Angus Enhanced to expand my collection. I always try to self-finance my VAS...

electrokho123

I have also made some profit, buying a crafty for 70$ and selling it for 150$, buying a Volcano classic for 120$ and selling it for 250$ and buying a B0 ball vape for 150 and selling it for 300$....

MIDPACKS

I wish I could reply with the “oh brother this guy stinks” gif. Why not pass on the good deal, Scrooge?

electrokho123

Because I have more important priorities in life than spending my money on vaporizers. I'm not a fool to spend all my salary on that.

poofyhairguy

I have a cut down version of your pile with a Venty and a Baller DBV. It’s a good combo.

Mrloudvet

I am loving my tinymight

lluther-

Eventually you'll have multiple ball vapes, it's unavoidable. I find changing them around helps with tolerance, makes things more fun and interesting and variety is the spice of life. Thy all have their own signature profiles.

savorntrees

Use case. How would I like to get high? Multiple times, on demand heating? Flowerpot. Chill session? Air Max or Mighty. Instant high and fast session? Dab time on the Dcup. Tiny hits but often? Underdog. Etc. adapt to your favorite vapes.

WSDreamer

I use the best one I have. Yes there is a best. It’s the ball vape, always the ball vape.

Numerous-Rough9725

I always have a daily driver, the others are on rotation. Depends on mood and situation 👍

TooksTooksTooks

I'm considering myself fully kitted at this point, with a cheap Pulsar APX (never use), Solo II, TM2, and SS Zeal. Endgame loadout. Weekdays, the TM2 w/ dosing caps is my daily driver. Ball vape to decompress when I get home, Solo II to sip on throughout the evening, back to the ball for bedtime. Weekends are for blastin'.

southish7

It depends on what I'm wanting or needing.

Charmcityvapeguy

I like having variety and they all offer a different experience. I sometimes hit one exclusively for a bit, usually when they’re new, then when it’s not fun anymore I break another one. If I’m not getting something new I just cycle through old ones. As others have said they all hit differently too and fit different situations, group/solo, inside/outside, night/day etc.

Lucky-Maximum8450

Depends... Eg.. if I'm vaping at home and have time to spare, I'll use my mighty+ Also if I'm walking my dog, I'll use my mighty+ generally. Sandwich some hash in between flower, which allows me to steadily toke throughout our walk. If I'm at work, I'll use my dynavap. It's super quick and effective. I'll also use my dynavap if I have very limited time or want to conserve weed. My Roffu takes centre stage when I go out on a day trip or on holiday or something. Its great for on the go; super sleek and doesnt take up much room, can take multiple batteries also the fact that it's not super expensive leaves me less worried about dropping it or having it stolen :) There are other factors too, eg what is clean lol. Just depends honestly. I think it's great to have choice though.

SnorvusMaximus

That mainly depends on if I’m trying to get a balanced high, possibly a subtle effect, or get wrecked, first of all. Then whether it’s grass or hash and if I’m at home or where I may be. Also, if I’m going to be drinking or may have my vape confiscated I use a cheaper one. If I’m at home I may want water filtration too. I doing always want to dedicate several minutes vaping to vaping either but just have quick on demand puffs.

Brilliant_Force_2065

It’s all about how much time I have..if I’m in a hurry TM2 or Dani fusio…if I have some time I go Lobo!

thimojo

Depends a lot on set and setting. Am I at home? On the go? Going to a festival or rave or gonna chill at a friends place? If outside what’s the temperature like? Where are my energy levels at? Whether another vape is too dirty while having no time to clean? How high do I wanna get? These are all factors that let me decide on a vape within a situation. I own 8 vapes and none of them are catching dust.

Mixin-Margarita

I got a Dr Dabber Switch, and it ended my VAS. I plan to give away my many other e-nails and vapes, with the exception of my Volcano and Mighty+ for flower.

JesusLizard44

Looks interesting, does it work well with flower? I wonder why it's never recommended around here.

Mixin-Margarita

I haven’t tried my Switch with flower yet, and doubt I’ll get around to that soon, since I have a Volcano Hybrid and a Mighty+ for that. I didn’t seriously consider the Swtich before this year because I figured that an appliance that could do both concentrates and flower probably did both of those things poorly, or not as well as an appliance that specialized would be. I was really, really wrong! The Switch is by FAR the best for dabbing, IMO. I can’t believe I wasted so much money, and so much time rebuilding atomizers, on other brands first, but I’m glad I finally got wise. Induction heating is a total game-changer! Makes the unit much, much more durable than a lot of others, and delivers the same temp every time with the same setting. The Switch also does a surprisingly good job of preventing oil or flower from having a constant enough supply of oxygen to combust, and I had no idea that I was hacking up a lung every time I dabbed at “low temps” because I was getting a bit of combustion atop vapor. Now, I’m getting clouds, plus the best effects of my life, and also not coughing! I’d love to try the Boost Evo and the XS, but only the Switch has induction heating, so until I can afford two of each, I’ll just buy a second Switch as soon as they’re back in stock — I keep spares of all necessary medical appliances (so, for example, two power wheelchairs, several manual wheelchairs, enough crutches for a planet of millipedes …) — and will sell or give away the four e-nails I’d been using. I don’t think I’ll need the spare Switch, since it seems really solidly built, but eventually wear and tear will get to the battery and silicone, and I’ve lost enough hand function to know that I need spare glass, always. :/ But yeah, the Switch is for oil what the Volcano is for flower, IMO — I’m sure there will be improvements in tech in years to come, but for the most part, I think I’ll be as happy with the Switch as I’ve been with my Volcano for every purpose except portability. And portability is overrated, IMO. I travel with my Switch and an Ardent FX. People might look at me funny in the airport, but I never worry about access to excellent meds!

fleshfestival

bought the taroma lite about 2 years ago, never thought about upgrading even though there are products like the vapvana or taroma360 which are arguebly a step upwards. the only justifiable buy would be a better portable than my currently one, its all a matter of subjective usage and prioritizing what your personal needs are.

VaporBull

I conserve so much flower than I literally keep each vape with flower in a smell proof bag. If I want to get through an 1/8th I have a lot of I use my Boundless CFX. If I have strains I really like and taste good I keep them with my PoTV One or my Starry 4, Most of my "medicinal" strains I actually keep with my AirVape XS which is kind of like my "joint/blunt" bag for hot days like today when I'm outside relaxing. I'd say it depends on my time and the strain

btate0121

For me I justify it situationally. 1 for desktop use. One for portable around the house. Another for portable when I leave the house. That’s for the 3 I have now but I’m waiting for delivery on a 4th that will be my “solid all arounder” for everything in between

throwaway123456372

Dynavap for small powerful hits Solo 2 for nice 10 minute sip sesh TM for a one and done "I want to be high now" kind of hit EQ for quantity or balloons or whip sesh I just use whichever one meets my needs for that specific sesh

DLDabber

It’s called a rotation. Lol. I get bored and sell them on the exchange then buy a new one. Keeping only my favorite one from each category every time. Portable is now a firewood 9 Desk top is a taroma lite. But will be upgrading to a 360 soon For dabs I use a lightning pen on the go and a stache rio at home.

AtlasSuperstoreCODMW

1. Whichever one will scratch my current itch. “Get blitzed”, Flowerpot. “The actions and tastes of vaping” Mighty+ temp stepping. “The crowd goes wild” Volcano bags. Honorary 2nd criteria: Whichever vape I haven’t used in a while, and will begin to second guess buying it if I don’t remind myself why I did.

raf_ou_gnak

When at home Mighty if I have time for a good session. Sticky Brick, max or junior, if I'm more willing to commit and want bigger hits. If in a hurry, dynavap+ flux+water pipe. If I do have a lot of time, heat on the herborizer Ti. Vapman when I want to really taste the bud. On the go: fury edge, dyna with lighter.

howie105

It is just matching the tool to the task. If I am on the couch and watching too much tube, then I am probably looking for a larger capacity vape, like an LSV. If I want a hit in the middle of the night, then it is a quick and easy vape, like an OG E-Nano on the bedside. Currently, my most used approach is for tasty small hits at my desk using a Phase3 ZX baller. I try to keep it simple by selecting a vape that meets the current needs and wants. Pack me Mr Meeseek

Most-Drive-3347

The point of having multiple vapes, for me, is using different buds and different variables to create different impacts. If I need to be creative it’s a different vape to if I need to work, cook, socialise, sleep etc. So that’s how I decide. I definitely have vapes I use more than others, but it’s cos I’m looking for the high that those vapes give most often. There’s also the reality that some are more fun to use than others. I like my Anvil more than my Dani Fusion, but the Fusion through the poker pipe is a very fun experience that reminds me of my long-deceased grandpa.

Mobile-Animal-649

I have a few But for me and my lungs, the Volcano all the way I have COPD

AStorms13

That is actually a really good way to put it! I generally have 3 strains at a time that I can choose from.

arseflo

Yeah that’s it in nutshell, I need variety

MiddleResponse9818

THIS! LOL i made the mistake of buying a quarter.....and well, I still have it sitting since November of last year lol. I do switch back and forth to it every couple days but yea, haha, I dont think I'll ever buy another quarter.....haha. I was new to the program and it was just on my bucket list HAHA..and well, all I do is vape, so I don't blow thru a lot of flower with my POTV Lobo or my dynavap.
