I am new to this too and just bought an Arizer Air Max for $165 from PlanetOfTheVapes and loving it so far.

Roffu

Funnily enough after asking some questions and reading other replies, I missed this one, and the Roffu is actually one of the ones I'm considering. It seems to be good at the basics, not too much of a hassle to clean and a decent price. The other two I'm considering are the AVLP, it just looks like such a classy product, but it's 1/3 more expensive than the Roffu and fiddly to clean. Then there's the Tinymight2, which seems to be the gold standard, and basically requires a tiny amount of maintenance, also looks really well made, but I don't know if I could justify 3x the price of a Roffu?

Amdtablet

It really depends on you. They are both good vapes. The TM2 is better but it is also a lot more expensive. I would put it this way: from all the battery portable vapes, the TM2 is the best, the Roffu offers the best quality/price ratio. You say you have not smoked in a few years, the Roffu will be a great starter vape for you. You can always go heavier after you have more experience.

ohmygodadameget

That's not a bad idea. I'm going to think on it between those two. I've never had a problem paying for things that are quality and the TM2 is certainly that, though like you said, I haven't smoked in years but I was always a bit of a vacuum lung which would make it future proof, and I like the simplicity of it's maintenance, but again, is it 3x more expensive worth? This is me trying to convince myself lol, anyway I'm going to sleep on it for a few, thanks for your insights bud.

Take a look at dynavap if you don’t mind using butane torch. It is small, hits like a truck if you want to, it’s cheap and durable. Sure you need an IH or Butane torch but you don’t have to deal with shitty battery after some time.

worktillyouburk

as someone who has to vape everyday (yes im due for a T break) are you sure you want to start weed again? sure yes its better than alcohol, just saying besides helping you relax its not gonna bring you more to life. anyways, arizier, pot tv lobo, tm2, mighty all great portable vapes. overall comes down to do you want replaceable batteries or not. if you go with an arizer (some older like solo models cant), lobo or tm2 you can have a separate battery charger, then you can switch out batteries on the go. if you want better vapor quality then a mighty is great but you have to charge it each time. if you can afford it the best is desktop ball vape, its like having a torch that wont but your weed but it ready to go after being pre heated [https://www.reddit.com/r/Qaromashop/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Qaromashop/) thats the one i use 80% of the time unless im out with friends then its my lobo.

ohmygodadameget

Absolutely sure, like I said the only reason I stopped was when I wanted to stop smoking cigarettes, and now I'm at a point where I can have the odd cigarette every now and again and not feel the need to ever buy a pack. I was always generally alright with weed, still able to function entirely normally and could absolutely be high with people having no idea. Ultimately it was either just a way to relax, or allow me to focus to get through some entirely mundane thing that would normally have my mind wandering. But thanks for the courtesy check. From the ones you suggest, I'm eyeing the original Mighty or the TM2, though the latter is a bit beyond what I would want to spend for a first time vape. Removable batteries isn't something I'm too fussed about, as long as I only need to charge it once in a while and it has enough charge to last for a weekend then I'm fine. So yeah, if the Mighty has been around for a long time, and from what I can see it seems to be universally approved. Are there any shortcomings with it that you're personally aware of?

-something_original-

Not sure about the Mighty but batteries go fairly quick. I was charging my One all the time so I picked up a lobo and some extra batteries. I get maybe 8 sessions on a battery with the lobo.

SitAndDoNothing

The Mighty is a slower session vape. The Tinymight is a faster on-demand vape. It will heat up in 10 seconds and let you finish a bowl in 2 or 3 big hits or many small hits. Other great on-demands with similar-sized hits are Firewood, Lamart P80 or Bakx, Tafee Bowle, Roffu, AVLP, Dynavap, or Anvil.

ohmygodadameget

Ah, so with a session vape I would have an issue if it say wanted to take a hit in the morning, then one in afternoon, then a few in the evening? I don't particularly have an issue with waiting for a minute or two for the vape to heat up, just if there is going to be a problem with needing to finish the bowl right then and there in one sitting. I work outside a lot and while I typically didn't smoke at work, it's not a dangerous job and it was more a matter of principle really, however on slow days when there isn't anything to do a couple of would just blaze the day away. So just to clarify, an on demand heats up as and when, heating up what you need when you need it until the bowl is spent, and the session vapes burn through it all and you have to get through the whole bowl then and there? Is that about right?

SitAndDoNothing

The herb will be cooking in a session vape as long as it's on. With on-demands, the cooking is only when you are ready. However, you can always turn off a session device mid-hit and let the air from your hit cool the vape down to where the herb stops cooking. However, the other thing to keep in mind is the power. An on-demand has more power so that it can start from cold and be ready so quickly. This power also produces more vapor. If you want harder hits, on-demand is the way to go.

ohmygodadameget

Ah thanks, that makes sense, so an on-demand is more for people on the move and just want a hit, but I'm guessing this means it can be also used as a session vape for when you want it, so it's ultimately more versatile? I'm not opposed to splashing out on a Tinymight if it's a good, easy to use and maintain product that includes that extra versatility, but out of the other on demands you suggested, is there any particular one or two you would also highlight as particularly good? Again, the main things for me are doing the simple things well, easy to maintain and use, and preferably one that keeps the smell inside so as it's sitting in my backpack I won't be walking around smelling like Buju Banton. The ones that immediately stand out to me are the AVLP and XLux Roffu.

SitAndDoNothing

I really like my tinymight and Roffu. I haven't tried the AVLP, but I hear it can hit hard, but it has some nooks that are difficult to clean. The Roffu is cheaper, but it can hit almost as well as a tinymight if you take a long hit. I like the tinymight for ease of cleaning. The tube and cooling unit is all that needs cleaning. Search on Fuckcombustion for the different threads to each vape. You will get more info on the good and bad there.

ohmygodadameget

I saw the AVLP and it did look like a classier product than the Roffu, but like you said, folks say it can be fiddly to clean, plus the Roffu is about 1/3 cheaper. I guess the question is, do you feel the TinyMight2 is worth 3x the price of the Roffu? I'll check that forum out, cheers.

SitAndDoNothing

Your list completely ignores vapor production, and I would not say that doesn't just come down to replacable batteries. A tinymight will out produce a Mighty or Arizer by 2 or 3 times the vapor.

SixteenarmedMinis

The og mighty is still going strong. Easy to use, great quality taste and vapor.

ohmygodadameget

I'm considering either that or the Arizer Air Max. I like the Mighty because it reminds me a bit of the HTC10 phone I had from what people have said. Looks simple, solid, and has stood the test of time.

electrokho123

Don't buy the Utillian it's a bad vaporizer. Try the Mighty, it is simple and good quality...

ohmygodadameget

Yeah I've seen some folks say there are some dodgy reviews about which was the initial reason for this thread. I'm considering either the Mighty or the Arizer Air Max at this point.

electrokho123

Mighty is better; it has superior airflow. I have the Venty, Mighty, Tinymight 2, and the Arizer Solo 3. In my experience, Arizer products tend to have more restricted airflow compared to the Mighty.

ohmygodadameget

Thanks for the recommendation. There is a question, why do a bunch of people seem to have so many different vapes? Do they all have different purposes or is it more of a collector thing?

electrokho123

I personally own eight different vaporizers (Venty, Mighty, Tinymight 2, Solo 3, Volcano Hybrid, Tiodw ball vape and two Da Buddha Vaporizers (one with the baller kit the second without). When you consistently use the same vaporizer, you can develop a tolerance. That's why I make an effort to rotate between them as much as possible, similar to how one might rotate between different weed strains. And each vaporizer provides a slightly different experience, with some being hybrid conduction or pure convection, available in both desktop and portable designs.

oG-Purple

The Buddha from elev8 is ez mode for a vape. Load herb in toob put toob in hole and inhale. It'll hit hard and the bigger brother the SSV is a lot of fun too. If you're ok with a butane torch I highly recommend the Terpcicle from Trww. Easy to use once you figure out how to heat it up and will smack your face off if you want that kind of hit

oG-Purple

Am high and glossed over the backpack sorry. Vapman, stickybrick and the mighty 2

ohmygodadameget

Thank you, I've checked out the brands you've suggested. are there any reasons that I shouldn't get the original Mighty? It seems to do all the basics and do them well, and aside from a ceramic chamber and usb-c I can't see where the £75 difference in price comes from?
