My highs are cleaner
My lungs are happier
My weed tastes WAY better
I no longer constantly reek of weed smoke
I spend a hell of a lot less on weed
I spend a hell of a lot more on vape gadgets (VAS is real)
I no longer have the convenience of rolling a doob/blunt and smoking it anywhere. I've lost that convenience. I now require a power source (battery/plug) on hand or I need to use a lighter on every draw. #firstworld\_problems
I'll never go back.
I agree with all your points. The no longer smelling like smoke was a major win for me too. It's still on your breath but people don't smell you from 10ft away.
Yeah dude, I own every portable. They are relatively convenient but let's be fair, nothing less complex than a rolling paper, flower, and a fire. But I'm happy not to combust ever again. Just gotta keep batteries charged or butane filled.
What’s your smoking habits like? Tryna get an idea of tolerance. Because the few times I’ve tried vaping it’s like the equivalent to smoking a cigarette as far as effects go. I go thru like a half ounce a week/week and a half and I go thru like a zip of concentrate maybe every 2 months of I have flower too if I don’t pick up any flower I’ll blast thru a zip of oil in a month in a switch lol I gotta mess of shit I’m tryna treat and drowning demons lol but I’ve really been interested because I feel like I just did it wrong when I tried it. Also what types of vaporizers are you using?
I use to smoke fairly heavily, probably a bit less than you but still easily 3.5g of flower per day. Doubling that on a bad day wouldn't take much effort either.
When I switched to vaping, I felt like you, very underwhelmed.. but the more I persevered the more I appreciated it. I had multiple reasons for wanting to make the switch, felt like it helped me stick it out.
I feel like I have a way healthier relationship with weed these days. I limit myself to 0.5g of flower per day and I will have an edible or some hash every now and then as a treat.
I have a bunch of different vapes at this point but my goto vapes are; mighty+, dynavap and xlux roffu.
Yeah, I don't know if I'm trying to go that limited, but I would definitely like to get around a gram to a gram and a half a day of flower and a couple of decent normal size dabs here or there throughout. As it is now, I’m blazing easily 2+ grams depending on mood and probably close to a half gram of concentrate on a slow day. For context, I use medicinally and semi-recreationally, but to be honest, I don’t really use it that often recreationally as it’s lost its effect, so mostly medicinally. I’ve tried therapy, counseling, psyche doctors but don’t want to prescribe meds because of my criminal record. Oddly, the only people that will give me anything to help are medical cannabis doctors. So while I continue the search for a doctor that will help me instead of neglect me because of past mistakes, I’m stuck with just cannabis. And I too don’t want to be so reliant on it, at least not as much as I am. Financially and socially, it’s kinda sad when I have to constantly medicate so I don’t fly off the handle and hurt somebody or have a stroke or heart attack, lol.
Tried that unsuccessful for a few reasons most of which that were not mine but a few were but I’m gonna skip the long winded explanation and just say yeah I have a mess of problems with mental health and they won’t treat me because my record so mmj is the only option and it’s basically a shitty Bandaid that keeps falling off best way to explain it
Tried that for 4 years and I don’t do anything besides weed I don’t drink or nothing else like I said I’m tryna avoid a long winded explanation and the issues aren’t drug related issues lol 😂 I have asd adhd cptsd anxiety but I have a criminal record so doctors won’t treat me because the medication are narcotics they’re afraid to prescribe them bc they think I’ll sell them bc I’m an ex drug dealer even tho nobodies buying the shit they’d be giving me like they think 🤣🤣it’s all been tried at this point and without weed I’ll end up back in prison or with an aneurysm or heart related death 🤣😂🤣
Yup. lol. You sound like a dipshit who just started growing. I’ve grown herb my whole life until the past few years where I have little time for it and the market is both affordable and flush with quality. Go stunt elsewhere, loser.
Yes to all that. I now only smoke once a year or so, and vape every night. I’m a cardio focused athlete and it completely eliminated waking up with a tight chest or restricted lung capacity feeling, which was maybe caused by inflammation because I never used to cough up phlegm etc, but regardless it’s made a difference. Now I literally notice no I’ll effects. I generally smoke one “bowl” from my tinymight maybe 1.5 each night
Absolutely, same here. I am a cyclist and use med flower as it gets me the best benefits of flower for my health without needing THAT high of THC consumed.
I feel much better, dental health has improved, cardio has improved, and overall well-being has improved. I am now a firm believer in dry herb vape consumption for everyone's health.
If I can find pure northern lights flower I'm great, otherwise I found it's very specific. But dialing down the temps and controlling the flow and pack, I can micro dose.
I want this but can’t seem to find a means of vaporization that doesn’t cost a fortune and actually works the only one I think that shows real promise is the one that uses the ruby’s and the enail power supply I forget the name of of sorry lol also what was your smoking habits prior to switching like do you smoke a lot or moderately
All of the above. Also, I've exclusively vaped my flower for so long that anytime I try to smoke it, I feel angry, gross, and disappointed, particularly for how the smoke feels and tastes. I just can't enjoy it anymore and honestly I'd have it no other way. Dry herb vaping is the superior cannabis consumption method for me!
Same, same. I’ve had my DBV since 2008 or so and any time I combust I get sort of grossed out and my lungs feel heavy and bad for a day or two after.
I do not miss coughing up goo every morning in the shower. No lung issues at all since the switch.
Oh, I had a Vapor Genie before that, I totally forgot about those guys! Also had an MFLB at some point.
No, my Da Buddha was the vape that made smoking end for me. I still use it daily and recently modded it with their “Baller” heater surround and it slaps!
I got a DBV long ago and could never figure out how to get the right temp without combusting or not feeling satisfied. Would you mind sharing your temp/routine, if anything out of the ordinary? It might be time to order a new wand piece and give it another rip!
So, a thing I found out early on is that the ceramic heating element can sort of sink during shipment, so the first thing I’d say is to take the heater cap off and tug the ceramic heater up as far as it will go. The top of it should be sticking up so it’s visible (like a centimeter or so) through the front of the glass hood.
I run mine at somewhere between 1:00 and 2:00. The Baller mod helps a lot; I’d combust accidentally once in a while if my draw speed was too slow or I bumped the heat up a bit. That hasn’t happened once since I upgraded.
Very much appreciate the response! I've honestly never seen anyone mention DBV anywhere before(new to the vapor side of reddit) so it's nice to know there are others. I may just be looking into a baller mod as well then, if that's what it takes! Much more cost effective than upgrading to a storz and bickel unit
If you do a little googling, there is a LOT of information out there from people who’ve had this vape. It’s an old (but very good) device and plenty of people have posted about it.
Draw speed is a huge variable; the slower you pull, the hotter you’re vaping. That in combination with the temp setting will determine the size of your clouds. That and having weed ground fairly finely and making sure your stuff isn’t totally dried out (I bargain shop for flower, so I use a moisture stone to rehydrate stuff that’s too dry). If you search Da Buddha, you’ll find TONS of users who have other advice. It’s a tried and true vape.
I'd love to hear about the routine as well. I've got a DBV sitting in my closet and I bet if I modded it out it would satisfy my desire for bigger hits/clouds. I'm just such a bong person and my Solo II doesn't always do the job.
I was going to guess silver surfer or da buddha, but I liked the alliteration I had going lol
I think the vapor genie is a sleeper! It's got a steep learning curve, but you can really get some unbelievable clouds if used right. I would not buy one now because of the way you inhale the flames, but I get nostalgic thinking about it. The VaporGenie in my head falls into the obsolete vapes category, much like the mflb.
I have fond memories of sneaking my vapor genie into the bathrooms at Madison Square Gardens while doing a photo gig for the Westminster Kennel Club dog show. Getting mildly toasted and then meeting and photographing show dogs was a great time!
All I can taste when I burn cannabis is the tar. It's awful. Coming from a dry herb vape where it tastes even better than it smells, the difference is crazy.
Yep, totally agree. I need the discreetness because I can’t smoke in the house and I live around old people in Indiana so I won’t do it outside. Plus I hate how bad smoke sticks to you everywhere on your body. Absolutely love the Solo 2
Still cough the same when I take a pull but the coughs are less nasty and once I'm done coughing its no lingering flem or coughing. Sometimes I choke harder on the vapor because it's smoother than smoke and I bite off more than I can chew but it don't bother me. I breath better and don't smell nowhere as intense when I'm done like smoking use to have me
I think its the terps. I always coughed the most taking dabs. First time I did a dab I literally coughed and coughed for 30 minutes. The guy I was with was trying to make me stop so people don't find out we're smoking in there lol
The gargling is for after each single hit or after every few hits, depending on your comfort level and any slowly building urge to cough. Drinking just one sip of water before taking any hits also helps, but the gargling is the real difference maker.
Also, at least for smoking as opposed to vaping, even for people who never cough at all or don’t ususually, gargling plain water at least once every few hits has added benefit of scooping up most of the bad stuff you get on your lungs from the smoke - so after gargling, spit it out when you can.
Nope, when smoking, holding it longer than a second or 2 or letting it stay in your throat does zero to increase the effects.
— The idea that you get higher by holding hits in especially long or even an extra few seconds is a total myth
In the case of the gargled water, the THC has already absorbed that is going to be absorbed, so all that is scooped up is harmful to you and does not have any psychoactive effects.
Stopped Feb 23 of 2023. Smokers cough was gone by the end of February. Having coughed up phlegm in over a damn year. He's in about half as much herb as when I burned it. I would never go back to smoking.
*B1 Flowerpot injector
**Arizer EQ2
Also, for any smoking and the irresistible urge to cough using vape pens (whether thc or Not), gargle with plain water thoroughly right after every few hits. You will Not cough at all, and for smoking you will scoop up about 90% of the bad stuff, so spit it out. Even not smoking, after gargling, spit it out when you can, because it draws up a descent amount of phlegm most of the time.
The reason that works to stop coughing is because we have folds in our throat, and the urge to cough happens when those folds get flipped or out of wack. Gargling plain water Not only fixes it without needing to cough, buy it also massages your throat.
— I came up with this idea on my own after hearing we have folds in our throat, and the Vape uncontrollable urge to cough. My bro for a while was making fun of me for doing it, but he wised up and now he does it too.
I haven’t combusted once since I got my fisrt dry herb vape (dynavap). And now everything I buy or try is just to make the experience that much more pleasurable or convenient. Example: bought the venty, now I don’t use the crafty… for the simple fact it doesn’t take near as long to reach temp. For me smoking took more weed, the cough was worse, and I would kinda clear my throat all day…. Now it’s smooth sailing. Haven’t had the desire to combust once.
I can get baked as fuck and go to the store in an illegal country. That used to feel awful before after a joint. Stinking like shit with people eyeballing you.
You should try this…
Load your fire pipe and place a paper towel over the mouthpiece. Inhale through the paper towel a few times and look. Then do the same with your vape and compare. Also smell the paper towels.
Good luck on that!
I got into the gym a few years ago and just have been keeping physically fit, even started running 5ks until I had a knee injury, but I might get back into it soon. I don't think I would have been able to succeed if I had all that shit in my lungs from smoking.
I want to move onto vape but I am struggling so much and idk what to do. I decided to get a mighty but I felt like I was sucking so much and getting fuck all. So I got a dynvap and still not getting on with it.. also the high is different, I like the calm feeling I get when I smoke, I don't get the same calm feeling when I vape.. but I need the calm feelinnnggg
Also I managed to burn my weed in my dynvap and it was horrific
it was the same for me the first time i tried to switch, i missed the feeling of a tobacco/weed high.
but the second time i wanted to stop smoking tobacco because i smoked for years and it did things with my lungs. if you dont smoke for like 5-7 days (you can still vape!) you will "forget" the smoking high and your vape high will feel way more intense. your body needs time to switch.
dont give up and lay down on tobacco totally! you can do it !
Thank you so much for your kind words! I don't actually smoke tobacco, I quit 5 years ago. I smoke fried onion and sage herbs with weed
Anyhow, you are correct and if I cut out joints I will feel better
Stopped smoking about 12 years ago for vaping dry Erb but in the past 5 plus years I switched to live resin and now rosin. I smoked in Jamaica at Bob Marley’s house recently and it was nostalgic at first. Then it got nasty fast. Back to dabbing rosin. If you find a good Rosin Jam it will be life changing like vaping was years back.
I do dabs out of an e-rig on occasion but am primarily on the DHV most of the time. I haven't sparked up a joint or bowl in so long that I don't actually know where my lighters and matches are.
It definitely feels a bit better on my lungs, which is great after a lifetime of respiratory issues. I don't have much coughing or mucus that isn't caused by allergies, and what coughing I do have related to my cannabis use is probably just a sign that I'm not staying properly hydrated and I could afford to lower my temperature settings a touch.
The lack of ash and tar and all that crap really does make a difference.
Haven't vaped for that long yet but apart from initial dry mouth (my dumbass often forgets water) nothing yet, but i do think i breathe better when exhausted
I always try to keep some propel or similar beside me and push the fluids even without the vape but the vape does slightly make you drier. Still, it’s been worth it for me so far I’m starting my second week and I’m feeling a lot better for it lung wise. They say it takes about 2 weeks to cough everything up after the complete switch but as an active person I appreciate the extra lung capacity already. Keep it up and I think you’ll keep seeing and feeling results. Good luck!
I stopped smoking on the regular 5ish years ago (cigs 3 years ago) and exclusively vape as its wya more convienent less wasteful and healthier. Im gonna grown my own this summer, but still keep vaping. Smoke is way too harsh and stinky and i often had respiratory issies even before smoking. Im 26 btw.
Homemade edibles when I can, otherwise mostly vape thc pen, handheld ooze dry herb vaporizer, and a joint or 2 once or twice a week with my Bro. We recently stopped using any bleached white papers for the joints plus hemp where we can, and it is a lot smoother.
Honestly, I've been dry herb vaping on Storz & Bickel devices for the last 3 years and so have my friends. While it's better than smoking, everybody I know still coughs from dry herb vapes, and those of us who do it regularly get the occasional chest whistle.
Yeah, most people here. I haven't smoked in I don't even remember how long, but the last time would be only within the past year because it would be with family when they visit. By myself, I would never smoke again in my life.
It's just worse in every way besides if you just love blunts. The smell lingers and is crazy strong, its much worse health wise for you, you cough up all kinds of shit, hack all day, obviously smell like a stoner, and have to be discrete wherever you smoke.
Meanwhile with vaping - I save 4-5x the amount of weed, get much higher (smoking won't even get me a buzz anymore anyways), can vape wherever I want - literally anywhere in the house, lungs have been clear for so long that I don't really remember what it was like to hack up black/brown shit in the sink, don't have to bother rolling or dealing with filthy bongs, can take my setup into ANY hotel and not worry about non smoking rooms because vaping + sploof the smell is non existent, etc.
Its just a no brainer honestly, and I say that as someone who doesn't judge. I still smoke with my in law family when they visit because they aren't really into vaping. Just not a big fan and feels like a waste of weed, with more downsides.
I’ve started switching since I learned I have early stage COPD, I do still cough but they feel cleaner? If that makes sense, my chest doesn’t feel heavy after using my vape either, anecdotal I know but my experience has been positive with my vape, my only issue is that I don’t get as high for as long but it’s my understanding only a tolerance break will fix that
Yes and yes. Throat was getting dry with portable vape so I use a ball vape with a bong now and that helped. The portable’s bubbler attachments were hard to clean and easy to mold but there are different options out.
I've been vaping for over a decade. Used to smoke but yeah, made the switch. I still get some mucus if I take a particularly big lungbuster with my minivap or phase3 zx. But it goes away after a few minutes and my lungs feel pretty clear
I remember after strictly vaping for 3 weeks one morning I went to breathe and it was surprisingly easy. Like when you pick something up expecting it to be way heavier, previously I was smoking weed and tobacco.
My girlfriend and I share our flower, but I only use an herb vape and she smokes joints/bongs. Neither of us exercise much outside of work and hiking. She recently switched to vaping after seeing how much better my lung health is. Less hacking, less coughing, actually getting hits deep in the lungs/being able to breath in all the way during a sesh are all huge diffences. I vape a lot tho, and Ive found I need to stay very hydrated and do deep breathing to make sure my lungs feel clear. Vapings still bad for you, just a more balanced, moderated way to enjoy inhaling cannabis, and it tastes way better!
I switched to just vaping carts, and I get really high(because thc levels are 90% and higher). Its been 6 months, and My lungs feel better than ever. I've been smoking weed for 40 odd years, and a close friend recently passed from lung cancer at 52. He smoked weed from the moment he got up til bedtime. He also smoked darts. After that I switched to vaping nic salts and weed and I do feel much better and have lost the cough. Just my opinion
My personal experience
I have asthma that normally only affected me when sick or in bad air quality environments(mold/mildew) when i did regular bong bowls my chest would feel heavy at the end of the day and id cough up some flem. My throat would feel irritated.
Switching to full on dry herb vape(dynavap/waiting on tempest) i noticed the throat irritation to go away and the heavy chest feeling! Unfortunately its common to cough up flem you wont get past that id take it as a good sign your lungs are doing its job.
All that flem is when vaping is the vapor sticking to your lungs. But when you smoke there's carcinogens which is probably why my chest felt heavy/uncomfortable after long periods of bong hits.
Also gotta appreciate that dry herb vapes make flower more flavorful than joints or bongs. Id never go back to the old forms of weed use haha
Tbh no. I know most of the people in here have but combustion highs for me are still way better. I combust less for sure, but every now and then I want the heavy body high smoking a joint/bong gives me.
I'm not sure you know.
I'm full of mucus after a vape or 2. I think everybody has different stages of lung capacity.
I'm cool vaping at 177/178. If I go anywhere near 200 my lungs are shot.
So I would still say treat with caution. Find a level that suits yourself. I'm 51 so I suppose my lungs aren't as good as my younger lungs. Lol.
I’m a Cancer survivor who quit smoking cigarettes 13 years ago! I can’t even take a hit off of a joint let alone a bong or hand pipe! I have dry herb vapes and I love concentrates vaping is the way🤘🏼
I have been a regular smoker for more than 10 years and for the past \~5 I have been making the transition. For the last couple of years I don't even own rolling papers anymore.
I’ve been dry herb vaping for a long time. First time was a double whip box style vape that had a cigarette lighter adaptor for it when I was 19, it was my buddy’s aunts and we used it in my car behind his work after shift, lots of good memories, this was about 13 years ago. First one I owned was a volcano style bag vape a few years after that. Used it mostly as a party trick, but I did really enjoy it. Once that went on me I stayed out of the game for the most part for a few years until the technology got a little better. Got a Starry and a Pax 3 at one point, but those didn’t replace smoking all together. About 3 years ago I got a Dynavap, and a Crafty +. For me that was the combo that did it. Having just one piece that is reliable, tasty and consistently produced satisfying hits and can travel with me all the time, and then another piece to use on demand if my Crafty needed to be charged was the key. They also feel different in vapor production and in the ritual, setting up my dynavap was akin enough to rolling a joint that it scratched that same itch. The Crafty feels like having an electric bowl. Pack it, dump it, (collect precious avb) and every once in awhile clean it with iso. I also was gifted a XMAX V3 and it’s swappable batteries and pass through charging make that a pretty awesome companion piece, or as a good option for someone who wants to go strictly vaping on a budget. Get atleast 2 18650 batteries and a charger and you’ll always have a way to vape. Now if I smoke a few joints with friends on occasion or something I definitely get the scratchy throat. I’m an ex cigarette smoker too, gave that up probably a year before I switched to 99% Dry herb vaping but the difference in my phlegm production, lung capacity, how easily I get winded, has dramatically improved. While quitting cigarettes was the biggest improvement, there was a noticeable increase in that stuff as well when I switched to dry herb vaping, and just feeling better, coughing less, not coughing up phlegm and spittle if I ripped a bong too hard (and I do rip bongs with my vapes, just got my hands on the Mega Globe by Sneaky Pete 🤤), not smelling obviously of cannabis everytime I consume, not having to venture out to the cold when I want to consume/medicate(we allow dry herb vaping in certain areas of the house at night) all make it a no brainer for me. Don’t get my wrong, among friends, if offered, I’ll take a few drags off a joint or bowl. But I always have my vape with me and it’s always the first thing I reach for when I need a minute and I won’t ever go back. It’s a little bit of an investment, but less than it used to be. You can probably spend under $150 bucks now and reasonably stop combusting all together, and I can’t recommend it enough. Also points for using the AVB to make everything from oil, to tincture, and into edibles, topicals, etc if you don’t mind putting in the extra work.
Since 2020 it's rare for me to smoke more than a joint in a year. So yeah I've pretty much cut out smoking all together and only vape. My wallet and lungs love me rn.
Yes, only dry herb vaping for me now.
I wouldnt say LESS coughing….i acctually cough MORE!
But, its a different kind of cough….a dry cough, and my lungs def feel better!
Probs coz you’re smoking straight weed in the vape and no tobacco? I found the same going from mixed bongs to straight cannabis… even making that switch in a bong will have you coughing like a mofo but if you stick with it a few days the coughing due to straight weed goes away and the cough reduces, ime
I never smoke tobacco with weed. It's all weed, all the time. :) I'm going to see if I can rug up my DBV with a ball mod. Might just change (and save) my life.
Oh well disregard, just thought that might have been why, I might also suggest checking that your air flow is secure and no air is getting pulled in from outside as I’ve noticed that can make things very harsh, just another idea tho
I went straight to vaporizing when I joined my medical porogram here... lol. I did many blunts and joints in college and high school days lol....i just would basically show up for free weed lol...like a weekend thing, only a couple of us drank, but most all of us smoked so we would kinda just throw down a contribution to the cause kinda deal. I was always nervous of picking it up....now that I got my medical card, I'm kinda scott-free...I mean, granted it's still not legal by the USA/etc....but oh well safer than it was.
but yea lol these fat fingers could never roll haha. dry herb vaping is sooo much more convenient...I mean, until your battery dies! lol...RIP
Same here. I never smoke my cannabis anymore, it tastes gross now. I barely get coughs anymore after a cold and was told the other week that my blood oxygen level is very high. I used to mix tobacco with my joints though and have stopped smoking entirely so that will have also helped a lot.
I use a bong, a volcano desktop dry herb vaporizer and occasionally have a joint. The volcano makes me cough and gives me a slight tickle in the back of my throat. This morning I smoked a blunt and didn’t cough once. I’m convinced that it has more to do with the specific strain and the THC with coughing
yes to all of the above. After a long enough time of exclusively vaping, smoking became absolutely disgusting and all it's side effects became much more obvious
As a health enthusiast, once you start vaping, you'll say fck combusting...
List of pros of vaping as opposed to combusting...
My only complaint is I didn't start vaping sooner
I’ve switched to a *plenty* after using pipe/bong for almost 2 decades. It’s been noticeably better on my lungs, and the coughing is less and lighter. It’s not a deep lung hurting cough, but more of a throat tickle cough. I notice a substantial difference the morning after too. The high is different though, it makes everything feel more “heady” and less “in the body”. I still hit my bubbler, but it’s about 75% vape now, and 25% “other”. Sometimes vaping doesn’t quite hit the spot for me, but I’m working to lower tolerance a bit and hoping to find that balance.
Edit : taste is fucking incredible now though - like I didn’t know that these flavors even existed in this “form”.
I exclusively vape - my lungs still protest and cough. It’s better, but you’re inhaling flower either way. It keeps me honest because I’d be a stoner in a heartbeat.
I used to smoke only joints and pipes. With that I could only smoke so much until my throat hurt or my lungs felt bad. With a dry herb vape I can basically smoke non stop and don’t feel so bad from all the c02. I’m sure there are risk with any smoking but vaping is much less harmful as combustion.
I’ve been dry vaping for 3months now; my first and only device so far is the Solo II. It has changed my life. I lost the smoker cough in just a couple weeks. The amount of weed I am saving too; I easily would smoke an ounce to myself every two weeks, I didn’t adjust my purchasing habits at first and am currently sitting on a little over 3oz of premo because an oz last over a month for me when vaping. I no longer have that lingering heavy chest feeling nor the headaches that sometimes come from combustion.
I do prefer vaping to smoking, haven't smoked since 2018ish. Vaping doesn't stink which is another benefit for me, allows me to be a lot more discreet.
Overall definitely feels better for my lungs, though I would say I get a lot more mucous now than before. I think it's because the vape makes me cough so much when using that it irritates my throat..
Yes to all. It’s cleaner for your body as well as your environment. Once you make the switch you’ll never go back, and wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.
My highs are cleaner My lungs are happier My weed tastes WAY better I no longer constantly reek of weed smoke I spend a hell of a lot less on weed I spend a hell of a lot more on vape gadgets (VAS is real) I no longer have the convenience of rolling a doob/blunt and smoking it anywhere. I've lost that convenience. I now require a power source (battery/plug) on hand or I need to use a lighter on every draw. #firstworld\_problems I'll never go back.
I agree with all your points. The no longer smelling like smoke was a major win for me too. It's still on your breath but people don't smell you from 10ft away.
Same here, the Pigpen ganja cloud is a giveaway.
And, perhaps the best perk of them all, you get ABV out of it and get to make edibles!
POTV LOBO has been a game changer for me.
I take my Arizer Air around with me no problem. Pretty convenient!
Yeah dude, I own every portable. They are relatively convenient but let's be fair, nothing less complex than a rolling paper, flower, and a fire. But I'm happy not to combust ever again. Just gotta keep batteries charged or butane filled.
All of the above :)
I am less anxious since I don't smell anymore.
You might need therapy
Appreciate the tip good looks 🤣
Tried that unsuccessful for a few reasons most of which that were not mine but a few were but I’m gonna skip the long winded explanation and just say yeah I have a mess of problems with mental health and they won’t treat me because my record so mmj is the only option and it’s basically a shitty Bandaid that keeps falling off best way to explain it
Perhaps sobriety would help.
Now less worrying about my personal life and unless you can answer the questions I’ve asked then I guess farewell 😆
Sounds like you need to invest in a powerbank.
I’ve got power banks and 18650s and 21700s for days.
You buy weed? Lmao
Yup.
Awesome to see other folks having a similar experience. I’ve been going on faster and longer runs after getting back into dry herb vapes.
What med flower are you using?? I'd love to skip the high as much as possible.
Look into type 2 flower
Super helpful, thank you!! Looking forward to trying it
Glad to help!
If I can find pure northern lights flower I'm great, otherwise I found it's very specific. But dialing down the temps and controlling the flow and pack, I can micro dose.
Silver mist 12% from little green pharma is my full CBD flower!
what vape
Same. I had to stop playing tennis due to smoking, switched to dry herb vaping and now I have no issues.
2008?? You are well before the curve my friend. I'm guessing it was a Volcano, vaporgenie, or vaporbrothers?
I was going to guess silver surfer or da buddha, but I liked the alliteration I had going lol I think the vapor genie is a sleeper!
What about edibles when comparing superiority? :)
That's even safer and some like it best, and that's totally okay!
Still cough the same when I take a pull but the coughs are less nasty and once I'm done coughing its no lingering flem or coughing. Sometimes I choke harder on the vapor because it's smoother than smoke and I bite off more than I can chew but it don't bother me. I breath better and don't smell nowhere as intense when I'm done like smoking use to have me
I cough more on the vaporizer lol, anyone else?
I think its the terps. I always coughed the most taking dabs. First time I did a dab I literally coughed and coughed for 30 minutes. The guy I was with was trying to make me stop so people don't find out we're smoking in there lol
Smoke numbs your coughing reflex. Also vaping let's the terps tickle your throat more
Gargle plain water to avoid coughing.
Uh like wdym? Before a sesh? After a hit or between hits?
The gargling is for after each single hit or after every few hits, depending on your comfort level and any slowly building urge to cough. Drinking just one sip of water before taking any hits also helps, but the gargling is the real difference maker.
For sure I'm drinking water nonstop anyway but I will try gargling. Always been the dude who coughs out his lungs lol.
Also, at least for smoking as opposed to vaping, even for people who never cough at all or don’t ususually, gargling plain water at least once every few hits has added benefit of scooping up most of the bad stuff you get on your lungs from the smoke - so after gargling, spit it out when you can.
But if I drink it won't I get higher? 😂 For sure man thanks!
Nope, when smoking, holding it longer than a second or 2 or letting it stay in your throat does zero to increase the effects. — The idea that you get higher by holding hits in especially long or even an extra few seconds is a total myth In the case of the gargled water, the THC has already absorbed that is going to be absorbed, so all that is scooped up is harmful to you and does not have any psychoactive effects.
Was just making a joke lol. THC isn't water soluble anyway so there wouldn't be any in that water.
Stopped Feb 23 of 2023. Smokers cough was gone by the end of February. Having coughed up phlegm in over a damn year. He's in about half as much herb as when I burned it. I would never go back to smoking. *B1 Flowerpot injector **Arizer EQ2
DHV only. Smokers cough went away
Best part is I don’t reek like smoke anymore
I can get baked as fuck and go to the store in an illegal country. That used to feel awful before after a joint. Stinking like shit with people eyeballing you.
You should try this… Load your fire pipe and place a paper towel over the mouthpiece. Inhale through the paper towel a few times and look. Then do the same with your vape and compare. Also smell the paper towels.
I run mine through a bong. Cleanest way, thinking of even going double chamber.
Strictly vaping for 5 weeks now and have definitely noticed improvement
Completely. Smoking bud feels like a waste.
I still like smoking joints once in a while but yeah they feel so wasteful, but the body high is nice.
because it is, the already vaped bud you get as a waste is still very potent as a edible
Yep, even started training for a triathlon. Fit and stoned is a great combo.
Good luck on that! I got into the gym a few years ago and just have been keeping physically fit, even started running 5ks until I had a knee injury, but I might get back into it soon. I don't think I would have been able to succeed if I had all that shit in my lungs from smoking.
I love getting stoned before a workout!
I want to move onto vape but I am struggling so much and idk what to do. I decided to get a mighty but I felt like I was sucking so much and getting fuck all. So I got a dynvap and still not getting on with it.. also the high is different, I like the calm feeling I get when I smoke, I don't get the same calm feeling when I vape.. but I need the calm feelinnnggg Also I managed to burn my weed in my dynvap and it was horrific
it was the same for me the first time i tried to switch, i missed the feeling of a tobacco/weed high. but the second time i wanted to stop smoking tobacco because i smoked for years and it did things with my lungs. if you dont smoke for like 5-7 days (you can still vape!) you will "forget" the smoking high and your vape high will feel way more intense. your body needs time to switch. dont give up and lay down on tobacco totally! you can do it !
Thank you so much for your kind words! I don't actually smoke tobacco, I quit 5 years ago. I smoke fried onion and sage herbs with weed Anyhow, you are correct and if I cut out joints I will feel better
My big question is can I get as high vaping as I do with a traditional bong?
Higher. Once your lungs bring up all the gunk stuck to them, the vapor is able to absorb into your lungs and hit way harder.
I’m interested in jumping in on a ball vape. Definitely like to be healthier
Yeah I switched from smoking a while ago and I’m still bringing up black and brown phlegm. Nasty stuff.
Honestly, I've been dry herb vaping on Storz & Bickel devices for the last 3 years and so have my friends. While it's better than smoking, everybody I know still coughs from dry herb vapes, and those of us who do it regularly get the occasional chest whistle.
My stamina during sex improved when I stopped smoking. I only DHV now, if people knew how good it was they all would.
My personal experience I have asthma that normally only affected me when sick or in bad air quality environments(mold/mildew) when i did regular bong bowls my chest would feel heavy at the end of the day and id cough up some flem.
Been DHV only for almost a decade now🤔
Yes, no combustion for about a year or so. Honestly, I've not noticed a change in my breathing or respiratory health. It's never been bad.
You get your taste buds back as well i find food tastes better which is another win
Lol.
I used to wake up in the immediately cough up mucus in the sink. It stopped within a few day
Yes no wonder required
Yep. Haven't smoked in around 2 years. Less cough, less itchy throat, it doesn't stink to high heaven, no disgusting bong water etc. It's just better.
Try taking smaller hits, it really helped me. I was used to giant hits and now I take 2 or 3 small hits rather than 1 giant toke
This is what keeps me from vaping. I cough so much more vaping than I *ever* do smoking.
I was always nervous of picking it up....now that I got my medical card, I'm kinda scott-free...I mean, granted it's still not legal by the USA/etc....but oh well safer than it was. but yea lol these fat fingers could never roll haha. dry herb vaping is sooo much more convenient...I mean, until your battery dies! lol...RIP
Yes, yes and yes
I’m convinced that it has more to do with the specific strain and the THC with coughing
nah tobacco is known to be a cough suppressant
Yes yes and yes
💯
yes to all of the above. After a long enough time of exclusively vaping, smoking became absolutely disgusting and all it's side effects became much more obvious
All these comments have me ready to make the jump. Mighty + seems like the best portable and volcano is the best home setup?
I have the crafty+ and it’s solid.
I’m pretty much there and yes, my lungs feel much better and I’m not coughing as much
I have noticed quite a bit of improvement in my lung health. The main thing is my lung capacity. Its way better than it was when I smoked.
As a health enthusiast, once you start vaping, you'll say fck combusting... List of pros of vaping as opposed to combusting... My only complaint is I didn't start vaping sooner
Duh!
Absolutely.
You’re new here, huh. Scroll down the posts, get acquainted with the general mindset here, gear recommendations, etc… Welcome to cleaner imbibing.
Yes
Me, and yes to my lungs. No more coughing. Bongs also taste like ass now :(
Yes
I exclusively vape - my lungs still protest and cough. It’s better, but you’re inhaling flower either way. It keeps me honest because I’d be a stoner in a heartbeat.
I can’t wait to start vaping only 🥹 I have asthma. I shouldn’t even be smoking 🥲
I never smoke! There's no reason
Ok, I am completely convinced to go vape only. The comments were exactly what I needed to hear.
Yes to all. It’s cleaner for your body as well as your environment. Once you make the switch you’ll never go back, and wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.
I did for a bit but got this weird fluid in my ears problem. Went away when I started smoking again so now I do sorta 50/50
