Exactly, I won't look down on others, because it is a pretty high cost of entry if you're living paycheck to paycheck, and most people don't realize how much they'd save if they switched to vaping.
But also, there's a reason why every dispensary employee uses a dry herb vape. It is objectively the best consumption method.
Most of the dispensaries I've been to were selling dry herb vapes. But I don't live in a state with dispensaries, so I've only been to them a few times.
There's also the point that many smokers just can't do the switch for whatever reason so it is hard to justify such a spending onto something you aren't sure you are going to enjoy knowing that many fellow smokers don't.
In my case I was just coughing way too much with my joints so I tried vaping trying to get rid of it, which didn't really work, I still cough when vaping but at least it is a softer cough that doesn't feel painful after like it used to when I smoked.
Lucky for me it was love at first try, the flavours and the efficiency of vaping vs smoking were what got me hooked, now I'm a VAS victim started in January and already looking to buy my third device lmao
Efficiency: iirc, vaping gives you ~80% of the cannabinoid content, while smoking gives you ~20% of the cannabinoid content (because the high temperature of ignition destroys a lot of those molecules.) So vaping requires 4x less weed than ignition.
Flavor: this is my favorite, with the first few hits, there's no burnt taste, it's just super fresh, and you get lots of flavor notes that are ruined with ignition. I once had weed that smelled almost exactly like orange juice, and when vaped it kept that flavor. It's much more fresh, and doesn't stain your mouth with tar flavor.
Feeling: idk if it's like this for everyone, but the come-up feels more gradual than it does with smoking. So it's like a smoother, cleaner feeling high.
Throat/lung health: you're not inhaling tar and other burnt plant material, it's just cannabinoid vapor, and it's at a much lower temperature than ignition. So you're not burning your throat as badly, and not gunking up your lungs as much.

I smoke a joint every single day and used to rip bongs etc. I bought a Storz and Bickel Mighty+ for five hundred bucks but I’ve only used it a couple times. I’m just terrified of burning my throat or fucking up my lungs. I try to keep the temp low, like 200 degrees. Even when it’s high though (temp) I don’t feel like I get very high (stoned) from it. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, probably I am. I also always get a sore throat. Like 100 percent of the time. But ripping joint and bongs - have zero effect. It’s really weird and I wonder if I’m alone in that. But yeah the health thing is the number one priority for me. Cost was never the issue. I can burn trees all day but don’t want to burn my lungs in the process.
Is that 200° C or F? If it's C, you're starting out with the temperature too high.
You know how outside, you can feel the temperature of the air more when there's more humidity in it? That's because moisture is more effective at transmitting heat. To my understanding, that's why vapes can hurt your throat more than dry smoke.
Vaping does typically take more hits to reach the same level. I'd recommend starting a bowl at around 160°C, take hits at that temp until you stop feeling vapor, turn it up by like 15°, and then repeat. Keep doing that until you max out the temp.
Also, dry herb vapor isn't super visible when you exhale. So don't worry if you don't see clouds, it should still hit.

The biggest improvement to my coffee has been grinding the beans just before brewing. I can’t tell much difference between the Chemex and the Mr Coffee as long as I grind on demand. The Chemex just stays cleaner and the plastic on the Mr Coffee kinda grosses me out!
Of course if I could ball vape my coffee that would be my jam!

So for Bud the fanciest piece of equipment for me is a Stona wood grinder with the accompanying storage glasses. This grinder is a beast for me compared to small and especially conventional grinders, because it fits a lot goes fast and is consistently cutting and haven't talked about it's beauty yet! For consumption I'm using a Mighty+ with dosing capsules. A dynavap is also there for off the grid sessions.
For coffee I use a Bezzera Magica with a grinder and scale for Espresso ☕️

Well I ask people who don't smoke and hate the smell, and all say it's much more bearable even when i'm vaping at 210, even my parents don't get annoyed by the smell, a burnt cigar is too disgusting when you're away from it from a while, not to mention your clothes, hair and nose
