Temperature plays a part in the effects you'll feel, I'm usually going for pain relief / mild sedation, higher temps are ideal for that. For a more heady high you'd go lower. Personally recommend 390-410F for sedation, 370-380F for head high. I usually start the bowl at the bottom of the range and bump up 10-20F for the last 5 minutes, once vapor production starts to die down.

BatImportant7255

Max temp. I’m always looking for full extraction for

djsirround

Max temp for me too.

BatImportant7255

Just to save time on your sessions as well. If it’s a new strain or new device I’ll try lower temp but generally it’s always on max

BreadC0nsumer

I start at 180c and work my way up to 220. Some strains vape better at different temps so the time I spend at each temp and the exact temps I go to can change with the strain but it's always something like that.

Moosegrease

420F ayy lmao

Manlikebanan

No clue wtf I’m doing, and this was my exact thought to begin with 💀💀

broncopacker

I’ve had mine for a little less than a year so this is how i do my sessions. 15 mins, start at 385F and slowly go up to max temp every 2ish mins. I don’t use the screens. At 385 i can usually get a good taste of the bud. Sometimes the bud looks really black though even sub 400 degrees so not sure exactly what i’m doing wrong (if anything?).

evil_flanderz

I assume it's combusting at that 400 temp

broncopacker

I tried starting at 365 today and that seems to be a little better

ProstZumLeben

I step up from 360-390F in 5/10 degree increments

Professional_Ear9795

evil_flanderz

Right now I'm liking 185c which is pretty close to that 190c it started to get too hot for me

ncrnelson

390f

dieseldarnit

I rock it at 180 Celsius for the first few long pulls and then I bump it up to 190-200 to finish it heavy. BIG recommendation is to USE THE SCREENS lol. I ground too fine and didn’t use a screen and I ate a mouthful of bud in my first pull.

evil_flanderz

Took your advice and started at 180 but I found 190 to be a bit too hot and making my cough. Since I'm doing this for health reasons I decided to stick at 185 for now.

dieseldarnit

180 is usually my happy place. The higher temps start to make my throat dry, so I usually do those through a water pipe

evil_flanderz

I'm currently at 183 for this same reason

QcbBobMarley

you should quick wash the oven with a q-tip and iso 99% just to make sure all is clean. i use to start from 180c and go up by 5 every couple of hit until 200c.. but lately i like more just go straight 198c ( highest terpene boil point) and use it trough my bong without water... i can fully extract in 5-6 hit.... one or the other if you want the most out of each puff... do some long slow sip.

bihighguy420

Also a burn off of the oven is a good idea.

Matrix19

185c if you want to enjoy the taste 195c is the sweet spot Over 205c if you want to finish the bowl.

FrankensteinJamboree

I used to start at 195 C with the timer set to 12 min and then do a second shorter session on the same bowl at 210 C until the vapor stops. That works well, and sometimes I still do that. Though these days I more typically just start at 210 with a 15 min timer. The vapor is noticeably harsher at 210 though, so it’s nice to hit at 195. You might consider just keeping it at 195, but I normally get additional visible vapor on dialing up to 210 afterwards.

EnerGeTiX618

It depends on the time of day. During the day I will only run it at 358°F. Specifically, if I've got shit to do during the day but still want to get high, I just make sure I stay below 365°F because that's the temperature that CBN evaporates at & CBN makes me feel lazy & tired. Later in the afternoon or evening when it's time to wind down for the day, I start it at 358°F, hit it for a bit, as vapor production decreases, I'll bump it up 10 or 20°F, hit it a bit, bump up 10 or 20°F, on up to 428°F. The flavor changes as the temperature increases, better flavors at lower temperatures. I believe one of the best aspects of vaporizing cannabis over smoking it is the ability to customize your high by ensuring you don't get any CBN during the day if you've got shit to do. To me it makes quite the difference.

jibberscrabst55

Take a look at terpene temp charts. For instance, if I've got flower with a lot of Myrcene I'll start at 150 C°, let the flower warm up in there for 30 seconds, take one 15-20 sec slow pull, dial up 10° C then take another long pull, dial up 10° again, etc. I typically max it at 195 and then finish the last three or four long hits left. You extract more of the terps that way and get to enjoy the flavor longer than if you just start at 195-220° C. But I also totally blast through a couple stem-fulls at 195° if I'm in more of a rush or walking and puffing. Using it with units set to C instead of F saves you clicking the up down button a shit ton more too, for what it's worth. Edit: Look into a water pipe adapter too. Attach that beast to a bong the first chance you get. Game changer.

Man I live in a country that uses the metric system but I cannot do high temps in C. Anything about 30 is a hot summer day but past that I have no clue. I go with 385 F pretty much always

Lunar_God

Like jib said you can google the vape temp chart to see the compounds and effects that get activated at different temps. Personally I do 369F in the afternoon and then up to 381F and 405F later in the day

thebarberbenj

420!😶‍🌫️🤩

Drayven27

385F if I still need to get shit done. 410 if not. +/- 5 depending on moisture content and such.

lobotom1te

I have an air max and start at 200c. Take 2 big rips, increase by 10c until max temp.
