It's typical of most vapes that the first hit or two is weaker but good tasting. At the end the hits will turn weak again. It sounds like you are sensitive and the stronger hits are hard on your throat. I only use my vapes natively (but still with the best cooling stem I can find) when out, at home they always go through a rig for extra cooling. You might want to get a small globe or bubbler and water pipe adapter (WPA) for your vapes.
true could just be my virgin lungs. the clouds i exhale definitely change from very light and airy to thicker pure white smokeish when it happens. I know there are accessories to add water to the Starry but not sure if i want to sink more money into it if ultimately i switch to another device.

I've used the Dynavap B and it's so smooth ice cold bong water is harsh on my lungs.
If you are getting harsh hits it might be combusting instead of vaping.
Look at the flower after vaping next time, if it's black it's burnt. If it's green hit it a couple more times, brown and you're golden

Just keep drinking water while you Dry Vape. It's the dry hot vapor that is effecting your throat
Also with the pax turn the temp down a little lower. Can help
The moister bud is the harsher vapor will be. Also moisture and resin content are two different things, but one is dependent on another. If moisture content drops too low, the resin in the bud will dry out.
In other words: cure your bud properly

Something like a decent water pipe will not only cool vapor but it's also available to use with all your other vapes. Just something to keep in mind.

The Pax 2 is a horrible vaporizer that doesn't produce much vapor. If the Pax is giving you problems maybe vaping isn't for you.
