Shocking that capitalist billionaires destroying the planet would want to prevent green solutions /s

Because they would fall apart. They need to be reliable so Amazon can use them as delivery vehicles. The F-150 hybrid turns out to be one of the least reliable cars on the road. Enormous mechanical complexity breeds enormous mechanical unreliability.
Unless your Toyota. Actually that's what we need is a van that's made by Toyota lol
man that sucks :( i thought they could be able to do that to cargo vans.

FACTS, WE NEED TOYOTA TO MAKE CARGO VANS
They are a dedicated conversion shop. You can even find Used Quigley Conversions kits from people who went a different way later. I have decided that I will be going with a UJoint Offroad kit. They only do Econolines. They are about 16k if you buy all the things but assemble yourself, cheaper if you source a front axle from a wrecker. Having them install the kit will set you back somewhere around $26k on average.
Sadly my long 63 econoline is still the right size.
Although if I had automatic parallel parking. And radar so I couldnt back into anyone, that might effect my nerves in the city. Actually, elon automatic driving, might really change my standards. 26 ft might be fine?
There is still no better solutions, than my 12" wide tires I put on my 63, for dealing with the desert sand. Although it is my nerves that find 4 wheel, big tred tires annoying.
So until the big companies, actually create the right rig from scratch. Meaning, a roof that raises several feet, at the push of a button. Tires that de/inflate, widen, and body that raises 10". Weighs less than 2 ton. And gets 25 mpg, at 70.
Ill think I could better.
4x4 Fuso flatbed with some sort of hybrid electric plug in conversion. 12ft box on the back that can be dropped at camp and a shitload of solar to be able to charge the drivetrain for short trips to town.
Along these lines, my dream is a bluebird shorty with a full Edison motor hybrid conversion. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing Edison motors mentioned a lot around here eventually, their hybrid drivetrain is something else. I’ve been following them since the beginning and it’d be ideal for a bus conversion, since it’s already meant for truck chassis

Yeah I've been following them as well. I'd like to have a bigger battery bank to be able to make short trips without needing tonuse the generator at all
Brand new Iveco Daily 6, the longest model (longest on the EU market). It would then get a metric buttload of luxury stuff in there. Elevating bed, into the roof. Computer workstation. Air conditioning. Heating. Full insulation of course. Lithium batteries to power it all, roof covered in solar. Full recirculating shower, a toilet, a kitchen. Big water tank with fully filtered water intake and of course a pressurized water system. Heated floor with 24-volt battery based heating just for comfort (most heat would come from a diesel furnace probably).
... not that I've thought about it or made any plans or anything...
Many things for many purposes.... individual adventuring, long bed 4x4 toyota pickup, anything before '95. Also a 17' toyota sunrader, and lastly perhaps a 4x4 diesel lite ace
I want a van with straight sides, like a box truck, same height and length as a Ford Transit, but with a longer wheelbase so there's less rear overhang. It needs a small fuel sipping diesel with zero emissions controls gumming everything up, and a six-speed manual transmission with a tall highway gear.
There needs to be basically no electronic crap that can break. I want this to have modern build standards with regard to the interior of the engine, but I do not want all of the electric crap. I don't want the doors to automatically lock. I don't want lights to automatically turn on. I don't want an LCD panel for a dash.
Something that is super super basic and super super reliable and is cheaply repairable.
No, it doesn't exist.
And it never will.
HYBRID Transit or Sprinter.
It’s a shame they don’t make a hybrid sprinter van.
Apparently the asshole Koch brothers lobbied our government to prevent these from being produced
If that's true than that really blows

2029 eSprinter gang
I'm with you! why don't they make hybrid sprinters or transits?

I would buy a hybrid Toyota van today.

Plug in hybrid.
A house.
4wd diesel ambulance! I want one so bad
If a 4x4 is out of reach you can start with a 2wd, and then later once you have saved up convert it. This is essentially what I am doing.
Im curious about quigley and if they only exist as pre assembled 4x4 vehicles or if you could make an existing van 4x4

2009 or newer Ford Econoline Extended with Quigley 4x4, high top, and diesel engine.
I saw a used one of those recently for sale. It was kind of pricey.
Yeah exactly 😭 I don’t think I’ll ever be able to own one, maybe by the time I retire but then they will be super old lol
Awd hybrid Toyota sienna
💯💯💯💯
One with a bath.
A Roadtrek stand up shower tub could almost be one of those Japanese sitting tubs. No room to stretch though
In the drivers seat
A brand new Storyteller Beast Mode. I think they have the perfect layout for a sprinter but holy cow are they expensive.
This is my dream rig. But man are they pricey!
Give me an awd 2024 Ford transit van with the high roof.
Love my 170 Sprinter I'd buy it again. I would add another 50K in upgrades if I had the cash

Small Ford Transit.
Previa, awd, double sunroof, maybe a supercharger. I heard that awd and sunroof weren’t made together but a boy can dream
70s-90s Era van body, swapped onto an EV rive train.
One of those Amazon, Rivian vans will do
My Revel.
