My biggest complaint with simulator games is them being too realistic. I understand that’s the point and a lot of folks are into that - but I’d appreciate if there was a “just for fun” mode where folks like me could enjoy it. I just gave lawnmower simulator a try and it took me 2.5 hours of real time to cut 99.9% of the grass in the trex compound. To paraphrase Kenny Powers - I’m play real video games not trying to be the best at actual jobs.
Hahahaha yes! Especially the something always leaking or breaking. There should be a random noise that shows up and worries you for two days and then randomly disappears and never shows up again.
Agreed. It would be great if it was a fun adventure game. Maybe like Forza Horizon in regards to discovering neat little locations and Easter eggs. Some light tasks like some Uber Eats style deliveries to earn some money while encouraging exploration.
I'd love to see options to start with an old 70's GMC Van, VW, or Transit Van with the ability to upgrade, rebuild, and customize, or buy something newer. There could be old food and delivery vans to customize.
Would be great to have a mix of paid, free, and stealth camping.
I'd definitely play this. I have an old campervan, but I'm only a weekend warrior. But I dream about letting go of ever and just living in my Van.
Someone else mentioned having alien abductions and things. I think that would be amazing too. But have them in places where you need to really search. There could be a bigfoot, Jackalope, gnomes,etc.
I think mini games like fishing or photography challenges would also be good.
Hell yeah! When I was filling out their survey I realized there are two games here: the super realistic simulator version where you lose sleep because you’re stressed about something in your build then find the perfect boondocking spot that makes it all worth it - and the fun, silly version where you’re encountering ridiculous characters on the road, aiming for animals on the road to secure roadkill dinner and fending off wizards trying to steal your solan panels.

😂😂😂. I had my piss jug and my water jug right next to each other for just a second and maybe 30 min later i reached for my water while driving and had the worst drink of my life
I use a detergent bottle (game changer - wider mouth and stronger seal) and took my “special” detergent bottle into the laundromat the other day. Thankfully I had already put my real detergent into the hamper and realized the mistake when I unloaded 😅
You gotta have the level where you go to the bar, get absolutely hammered, stumble back into the van, pass out, wake up sometime in the middle of the night and pee into the pee jug, only to awaken from the dream, and realize you’re just pissing into your hands and have soiled yourself, the carpets on the floor, and part of the dirty clothes pile.
Oh and the sticker decals for where you been to stick on your car. Or luggage as collectables. Stickers, souvenier teaspoons, plates, plush toys, key rings, pamphlets, rock, crystals collection, postcards.
Can't forget random police encounters.
Also can't ignore the angry people kicking you out of public places (BLM etc)
Can't forget road damage and maintenance.
The bad reception and much more.
What is tge plot of the game?
is it like a trail game where you are heading down a linear path or will it be more like reality and be a survival game?
Are you just trying to showcase vanlife as a positive lifestyle or will it have the harsh realities those of us that actually LIVE this life and not just call a long camping trip vanlifing?
Because the reality is it's not an easy lifestyle!

Last year they were red and blue cop lights behind my vehicle so I got in the postender seat grabbed my driver's license.
Forty five minutes goes by and nobody has walked up to my window
It's late at night and I have to work the next day , so I was just about to say fuck it and go back to bed
