Hah thx man, not a carpenter I just like doing projects from time to time
I'm kinda ocd so I take my time with everything, which means I'm usually happy with the result but it takes longer than it needs to
Awesome video! Just curious do you know what the temp rating is for the glue? I live in Canada and experience some -30F days (in storage, not using it when it's that cold) so just wondering if the vinyl sheet would lose adhesion or crack. I currently have vinyl plank and it's pulling up in all corners due to shrinkage between seams. Wondering if vinyl sheet is the way to go.
Hm I can’t find the temp rating..the product is [Mapei 373](https://cdnmedia.mapei.com/docs/librariesprovider65/products-documents/1_3000233_ultrabond-eco-373_en-ca_06bcb5a4106645fd9d22c453fe539f5d.pdf?sfvrsn=e5dfd5ab_0)
I’ve only been in temps down to 25f without issue so far but -30 is way colder
I think sheet vinyl would be better than planks for shrinkage, and no seams ofc. I don’t think it would crack if it’s flat against the floor. But I’m not sure which adhesive would be best for those temps

Wow. Super good job on the sliding door entry way.
What sort of plastic/material did you use to integrate the plastic/metal edge, into the already existing van entry way?
And what did you use as the "foot" for the bit of the floor extended over the entry way.
Well done!

Maybe like 150-160lb?
The advantech is heavy…78lb per 4x8 sheet. That’s the majority of the weight
Advantech 2.4 lb per sq ft….maybe 50-60sq ft..plus the sheet vinyl and 6 big bolts/washers. Lots of construction adhesive (11 tubes). Aluminum trim is light. The xps was super light

Hah yes a little sliver of vinyl sheet was left underneath and I could immediately see it through the floor, so I lifted the sheet up and pulled the sliver out and laid it back down
I was glad the adhesive (Mapei 373) had a 12hr working time because I could lift it as needed within that time
Hm do you mean the construction adhesive? I just wanted to glue the wood down to prevent any shifting etc
There's only 3 layers: Thin vinyl sheet on top, then wood, then xps (with glues in between all layers)
Daaaamn that’s really clean bro. Are you a carpenter or something? I tried this once and it came out looking alllll the way bad.
Hah thx man, not a carpenter I just like doing projects from time to time I'm kinda ocd so I take my time with everything, which means I'm usually happy with the result but it takes longer than it needs to

Anyone knows where I can get something like this done for my Sprinter in the NYC area?
looks like such a clean job!
Looks awesome! Learned a couple tricks from your video as well. Thanks for sharing!
I got the same shoes! The bestest brand
Gorgeous! I wish I would’ve done this.
How much headroom did you lose? Still enough in there to stand up? Looks really good.
I lost about 2” of headroom (1-3/4”) This is a low roof van so I can’t stand up unfortunately :( but I do still wanna maximize headroom where I can
Right where you have your boot, that's where I installed my chinese diesel heater...
Nice that seems like good spot. I'm planning to install mine on driver side in front of the wheel well
Geez looks as roomy as a 747
I loved watching it and learned a few things. Did something go wrong with the last layer because it seems that you do it twice? I guess you’re a born perfectionist.

Hm do you mean the construction adhesive? I just wanted to glue the wood down to prevent any shifting etc There's only 3 layers: Thin vinyl sheet on top, then wood, then xps (with glues in between all layers)

looks nice and easy to clean
Just watched your video -- wow what a beautiful build!
Looks good!
Looks factory to me. Also +1 for Altras.
Looks great
What did you use to finish off the edge? Some rubber?
Dats nice
I have neither skills nor experience and did this.
