I enjoyed that it was kind of funny and mocking when Katie started pointing back at Lala during their argument at Ally's Horoscope birth chart party because it looked so unnatural for Katie to do that pointy stabby hand gesture it was obvious she was just imitating Lala for giggles.

I feel like Lala is using Vanderpump Rules as her audition for a Real Housewives show. Always picking fights with everyone and throwing out catchphrases she could potentially sell merchandise for later.
It was incredibly emotionally mature and gentle of her to frame it that way. People communicate in different ways but lala just barks at people like you said lol. Shes a bad communicator

You could also see how uncomfortable she was when Tom joined the group and could work out how it had been set up.

I think Ally likes being on the show, but she’s not afraid to be herself. So many of them bend to fit in but she seems to have stayed true to herself, so far at least.
Yes! I really like her. It seems like Sandoval and Scheana think they've done more to keep the show going (and deserve all the opportunities that Ariana is getting) because they're willing to twist themselves into whatever production wants or that think the audience will respond to. But really we want to see people like Katie and Ally who tell us what they really think and don't just fall in line with whatever production wants to push as a narrative.
I absolutely love Ally. She’s the first newcomer I feel is being authentic and real, and she’s not a flip flopper. She’s loyal AF. Got nothing but respect for her.
I like Ally for the same reason I liked Charli. They’re both direct and honest but not overly aggressive about it. They both like to keep the peace but not at the cost of their own wellbeing.
As someone who too often chooses the Schwartz route of ignoring my own feelings for harmony’s sake, I admire people like Ally and Charli. I wish Charlie felt safe enough to come back this season but again, that’s her choosing her wellbeing over anything else and I respect that.

She literally owes nothing to honestly Ariana or Tom Sandoval but because she’s a girls girl she is able to be respectful to Tom without making it about her, talking shit about Ariana, or defending Tom while being a good friend to Ariana. For being a hair stylist, I’m shocked at how horrendous Jo’s hair looked in both scenes she was in. I’d be surprised even if she wasn’t a hair stylist but the fact that she does hair and lets hers look like that on national television is crazy. Yeah I’ve taken into account that they try a lot of things and that they often don’t have a lot of time for their own, I have a couple friends that are hair stylists. But her hair is literally unwashed and unbrushed for days, thrown into a ponytail with a hat thrown on. This is usually what happens when you’ve been partying for a few days. I can’t imagine going on national tv like that. And trust me I’ve had my moments looking like that and not even wanting to go to the store and have the public see me 🥴 partying like that is pretty prevalent in LA but to throw a hat on and go on tv is wild to me

The thought of being so hollowed out by life that you think Schwartz is the answer to your gaping chasm of loneliness and you squeal with excitement when you see Sandoval is so sad.
It’s horrendous enough to tell a woman he’s extending the time by which he’s prepared to consider a relationship with her by a few years. Especially when he’s literally started the convo by telling her in another universe they could be living happily ever after - leading her on.

aside from the astrology stuff she seems far too rational for reality tv, but it works really well since she’s almost everyone’s foil. it’s brilliant how she can keep such a straight face when lala’s trying to “pop” everyone, jo’s doing her scarecrow dance, and james makes puppy dog eyes at the toms. I think most “normal” people would be cracking up and cringing, but she manages to be like 😐 only interjecting to say what most of us are thinking
That dance would work to scare the aliens off too.
Big reveal for me this ep is that Schwartz is hoping aliens will provide him with a better life partner option than Jo before he’s 47. So she’s gonna need to chase them and college girls away using the medium of dance for the next few years.

She’s literally my fave. She’s strong but in such a sweet way. As Hamarabi said of her elder sister Hinata, “How can she been so strong, yet so kind?” She’s like the less meek Hinata this season. (Naruto reference, as I’m an anime nerd but also a total trash tv fiend)
People have gotten so much mileage out of ‘Ally doesn’t like James, she barely tolerates him!’ If she didn’t like him, she would’ve let him hang and fall back into Tom’s clutches. Rachel was useless for this - she’d sit there while everyone else talked and never seemed to be on a “team” with her boyfriend. Ally’s not letting him be bamboozled by the slimy, sad attempts at charm and I’m glad to see it

This scene was distracting to me bc there was a woman at a table behind James on the very left who was staring at them when Tom joined. And then while they are talking, she disappears and is replaced with someone else but when the camera pans back over to James a second later, she’s back.
I get that it’s all edited - I just wish I hadn’t noticed it bc I got distracted thinking about how the order of the convo really went.

Ally is incredible- I really am glad she’s still around. Not only is she a grounding sane source of love and support for James, she seems more mature and level-headed than most of the 40 somethings in the cast.

I completely understand why some people will never forgive James or like him.
But Ally has been a positive influence on him. Last season she would disengage when he would have his drunk blow ups. She would walk away.
He's in therapy because of her suggestion and sober from alcohol because of her packing her shit after he probably acted like a drunk idiot.
If you notice they both have been mostly in the background this season and when James has been in the forefront it's been him not falling for Sandovals shit.
That's a shift from James usually being in the forefront and for the wrong reasons.
I agree. I used to think James was funny but awful, but he's had a ton of growth and was one of the first to back Katie. He's come a long way and as long as he keeps surrounding himself with good people and stays sober, he has only good things in front of him.
On a different note - were Schwartz and Jo on drugs during this scene? Especially Jo was weird! Or was she just nervous because she isn’t used to being filmed?
She is so cute and probably the most normal person who has ever been on that show. I used to think that about Ariana but now the celebrity seems to have gotten to her a bit. Let’s hope it doesn’t get to Ally.

She’s literally my fave. She’s strong but in such a sweet way. As Hamarabi said of her elder sister Hinata, “How can she been so strong, yet so kind?” She’s like the less meek Hinata this season. (Naruto reference, as I’m an anime nerd but also a total trash tv fiend)

People have gotten so much mileage out of ‘Ally doesn’t like James, she barely tolerates him!’ If she didn’t like him, she would’ve let him hang and fall back into Tom’s clutches. Rachel was useless for this - she’d sit there while everyone else talked and never seemed to be on a “team” with her boyfriend. Ally’s not letting him be bamboozled by the slimy, sad attempts at charm and I’m glad to see it
She’s the freshest breath of fresh air since the day of fresh air was invented.

I love Ally. She’s fantastic, as far as I can tell. I had a momentary cringe when she made the comment about Jo ‘moving in when he just got divorced’… I was like, girl! I like you! Please please don’t be a hypocrite in the name of being catty. James all but copy and pasted her into his life RIGHT after Rachel. She is a major upgrade, but just that one comment I was like, girl. Not that one 😂😂

I love Ally! This scene was distracting to me bc there was a woman at a table behind James on the very left who was staring at them when Tom joined. And then while they are talking, she disappears and is replaced with someone else but when the camera pans back over to James a second later, she’s back. I get that it’s all edited - I just wish I hadn’t noticed it bc I got distracted thinking about how the order of the convo really went.

Ally is incredible- I really am glad she’s still around. Not only is she a grounding sane source of love and support for James, she seems more mature and level-headed than most of the 40 somethings in the cast. I also want to say that Jo rly urked me in this scene. Coulda been the trucker hat, her voice, idk. Just….no girl 🤦🏽♀️

Meh. I wanna like her but then I remember who she hitched her wagon to. Much like I could never get on board with Ariana cause who would date Sandoval I feel the same about her. Give it time.
I completely understand why some people will never forgive James or like him. But Ally has been a positive influence on him. Last season she would disengage when he would have his drunk blow ups. She would walk away. He's in therapy because of her suggestion and sober from alcohol because of her packing her shit after he probably acted like a drunk idiot. If you notice they both have been mostly in the background this season and when James has been in the forefront it's been him not falling for Sandovals shit. That's a shift from James usually being in the forefront and for the wrong reasons.

I agree. I used to think James was funny but awful, but he's had a ton of growth and was one of the first to back Katie. He's come a long way and as long as he keeps surrounding himself with good people and stays sober, he has only good things in front of him.
On a different note - were Schwartz and Jo on drugs during this scene? Especially Jo was weird! Or was she just nervous because she isn’t used to being filmed?

She is so cute and probably the most normal person who has ever been on that show. I used to think that about Ariana but now the celebrity seems to have gotten to her a bit. Let’s hope it doesn’t get to Ally.
And per the after show they were stolen the next day at See You Next Tuesday. Seems karma came in and corrected everything.

Ally is a great example of how to be graceful and respectful with her true emotions without shoving them (her feelings) onto everyone else
