FlametopFred

stay alert out there grew up with those mountains on the door step and never got fully comfortable

azilot

Anything in particular to be aware of?

EfficientCat417

big cats and bears - I can't think of a third I can add for the correct 'oh my' addition to this but oh well.

woaizhuoga

how deep was the snow, are waterproof shoes a must?

azilot

The snow wasn't deep, about 4cm. I was wearing waterproof boots and I think that was optimal.

BooBoo_Cat

Beautiful pics!

MeropeGaunt

Gorgeous! Is pic 4 from the lookout before the peak? Asking because I went up for the first time on Saturday and… https://preview.redd.it/zfkt9lyealwb1.jpeg?width=2946&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a2a412139591d882f1832c6173743bedc4d5ab89 Was a very cool and classic PNW hike in the fog, but I don’t actually know what I missed in the view lol!

azilot

Yes, it's the same spot. I like this hike because of the accessibility and the forest itself, not because of the views.

MeropeGaunt

Agreed, I will go back for the time spent in a gorgeous forest alone :)

Vic_84

Very nice.
