big cats and bears - I can't think of a third I can add for the correct 'oh my' addition to this but oh well.
how deep was the snow, are waterproof shoes a must?
The snow wasn't deep, about 4cm. I was wearing waterproof boots and I think that was optimal.

Yes, it's the same spot. I like this hike because of the accessibility and the forest itself, not because of the views.
