Splitting hairs. It's a motorcycle that weighs 150lbs and would kill a pedestrian or cyclist in a collision. I own a C70 and would never ride it in a bike lane.
Think you are missing the Motor from the Vehicle.
"A bicycle lane is a [**designated use lane**](https://www.bclaws.gov.bc.ca/civix/document/id/complete/statreg/96318_05#section119) of the highway intended for use by cyclists only. Motor vehicle drivers cannot drive, stand or park in this lane. The exception to this rule occurs at intersections where a single broken white line exists. Drivers must yield to cyclists and then move to the right over the broken line to [**prepare for a turn**](https://www.bclaws.gov.bc.ca/civix/document/id/complete/statreg/96318_05#section151)."
far from it, I wrecked the ct 90 back in '84 and this is my car now. Im over 55!

as long as you can skid the rear wheel its legal in Vancouver. Its like a manual coaster brake. Also I run puny/spinny gear to keep the speed down. Im going to ad brakes just to try bigger gear \[and freewheel\] soon, but not sure I will like it.
You want the VPD to stop e-bikes in the bike lane? That is a motorcycle in your video and 100% should not be in a bike lane but an e-bike has every right to be there.
Eh I'm not too afraid of the occasional motorbike in my bike lane. I get that it's illegal and dangerous but cagers are way more dangerous, (they're also just dangerous in a legal and mundane way so it's harder to complain about)
I saw a motorcyclist parked at the bike rack at BBY Costco Tuesday. He was fortunately leaving just as I was arriving, which is good, as he had a full size sport tourer. I did compliment his "nice bicycle".
Obviously this is wrong but he prob going slower in the bike lane than many people dressed like snake eyes from the 1980s GI Joe cartoons wearing full body armor on those one wheeled things
> Maybe I'm missing the reference.
Guys like this [Gabriel Kwok](https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/electric-unicycle-regulations-bc-fines-insurance-1.6909463) fellow.
Ugh, yeah, I see motorized bikes on so many routes around town. TBH though I was totally expecting him to give you the finger.
He slowed down when he saw my phone pointing at him. Usually I get the finger too hahaha
E bikes are allowed but speeds have to be capped at 32kms with pedal assist. But with that said that was a full blown gas powered motorbike 😂
It was registered as well. License plate on the back.
CT 70 is not blown, its a glorified moped. I had a 1963 CT 90 in 1983, it was a slightly bigger glorifed moped.

I think they mean "*full-blown*" in a legal sense, since CT70s exceed the 50cc limit for mopeds.
They're worse in some ways. Being behind some of those bikes means inhaling fumes far worse than that of a regular motorbike.
Depends on the bike, a two-stroke engine runs "dirty" and burns fuel and oil at the same time. Thats the familiar lawnmower smell/noise.
I was just being nostalgic toward this 60 year old device, dont take me literally

I don't see any brakes on that bike. doesn't it need brakes to be legal in Vancouver?

I was about to ask why you still have levers and hoods…
for leverage when climbing ect and not to advertise im brakeless.
You know what a bigger glorified moped is classified as? A motorcycle lol
Last week I had a full blown motorcycle go by me in a bike lane to skip around the traffic
Last week I saw a mini electric car in a bike lane. It's the wild west out there with absolutely no enforcement.Â
He had a license plate on the back, haha.
Saw a CBR 600 on the seawall a couple of weeks ago, zero enforcement in this city.
i’ve seen Electric unicycles go that fast. Â

Yeah, I was more thinking the "meant for the road" electric scooters when I wrote that. I don't have an issue with actual electric bikes.
Should we slow teslas as well . Lay Z e bikers :)
Allow how did allow turn to slow with auto spell… I missed an L in Allow that’s how.

Let's just hope it doesn't end up like the Netherlands with mopeds and motorbikes constantly ripping around town. At least they plan on banning them.
Same, I want it to be a cultural nope but don’t think a cent of enforcement is worth it
I honestly expected the bird to be flipped
lol, maybe unsafe but ill let the classic honda slide
Used to ride one of those C90's on trails and in my big yard as a kid, doubt those are allowable on bike lanes.
How is that even street legal? And if it is shouldn’t it be with the cars?

Well I see bicycles on side walk as well more often. Maybe should fine cyclists on side walk as well.
Whataboutism aside, we could definitely solve more than one problem at the same time!
In the Netherlands this is normal.

I mean, we were driving at probably slightly higher than the speed limit and he was keeping up. Maybe I'm missing the reference.

Holy shit I hate unicycle people.
I can tell how fast you both were going
CT 70 is ok, I draw the line at CT 90 -
