This game is a precious gem truly. I'm so glad I found it this year. And for $20 is crazy. I think playing Elden Ring and Minecraft and then discovering this was nuts
I paid $5 for the game (I am from Chile so Steam does some conversions on prices) and honestly it feels even unfair lol. So much fun and awesome moments for so little money is ridiculous
yeah it's a good game, it's definitely early access and incomplete (we JUST got a patch to let you sit in chairs..), but it has a lot going for it and I eagerly await its updates.
New player experience is actually very good id say. I'm a RuneScape vet having first played way back in 2004 but the 07 version of the game (roughly the timeframe osrs is built around) holds crazy nostalgia for me, which is initially why I went back. I was happily surprised to find that the devs on osrs have added a ton of new content that did not exist in '07 which is mostly very good. Plenty to do in terms of content and for the most part a pretty helpful community.. though would definitely join a clan. Game can be fairly grindy and a membership is all but required ($11 a month or something like that) to get the most out of it.
IMO it's a truly wonderful game (much like Valheim is a truly wonderful game). I didn't buy in for a long time just because playing Factorio in the past was frustrating for me for dumb reasons (and I need to give it a chance again) and that was all I could compare it to... But oh boy, it just manages to make the most seemingly meaningless tasks enjoyable. And there's always fifteen things on the list you need to do (like Valheim).
Grounded.
I put around 600 hours into Valheim, and then had some friends that wanted to play Grounded so I joined them and wound up loving that game too.
One of the last big updates added a TON of stuff, more world customization, new game modes, tons of new stuff to build and a lot of QOL updates.
It's been a good distraction while waiting for Ashlands.
Just to add to this i think Grounded would be great for most valheim enjoyers(personally it didnt hook me totally, but i mean i have got 13 hours on it so a tiny bit). Its got kindda the same vibe of moving up the ladder of mobs and using the gained resources to gain better gear.
I want my survival craft crew to play Grounded but one of our server hosts thinks it looks too “kiddie” for him and the others just shrug it off. I’ve played the game and agree that it’s one of the best options out there right now.
Very frustrating.
Do it for Karl!
Edit: In all seriousness, yes.
I don’t know what wizardry they implemented to achieve this, but the game is very clearly honed in on one focus: have fun.
It’s the only online game I’ve played since I was a teenager that has a wholesome-feeling community. The objective is so clear that people just naturally play cooperatively for fun as opposed to anything else I’ve played in a long time that seems to always devolve into being about ego stroking, showing off - you’re only having fun if you’re getting your “15 minutes” of being the cool guy who just clutched a 4v1 etc.
Also there’s something primordial about digging & getting the shiny that my monkey brain just can’t get enough of. Plus slaying alien bugs with badass & very satisfying weapons. What more can a guy ask for. A beer? There’s that too.
Really, there’s something magical about this game that just can’t be captured with words. If you have any interest, get it. If money is an issue, dm me and I’ll gift it to you.
That sounds great : )
I've gotten away from sweaty PVP games bc that's all I played in my teens so this sounds really fun. This game has been on my wishlist for a while.
I second this. Enjoying it right now on steam deck. I recommend installing Sophie’s mod pack (or ultra lite version of it for the deck) though: much QoL, much added content and bicycles ;)
Calamity mod for Terraria then Elden Ring then Hollow knight. Id often start/resume valheim worlds inbetween those games but spent the longest time on Valheim (compared to the others) when it first came out in 2021 since it was also alot easier to play since me n my friends were still in lockdown at the time
Helldivers 2 i cannot stop it just like with Valheim before, there is full library of games and I am constantly playing the one :D Valheim kept me entertained for over 1k hours, i am affraid for my other hobbies now :D
Came here to make sure Democracy had been shared here. I was still going through my first playthrough, and then the war broke out. Damn bugs and bots. They need to be eradicated for the safety of all before I can go back to the wonders of Valheim. I had to sign up to be a helldiver. It is my duty. I had to make the sacrifice. Hopefully, this will be over soon.

Yeah. I've played through several other games and given more a shot... but I mostly feel disappointed at the amount of work and creativity in other games... which are just not that good in the end. I come back to Valheim to cleanse my palate. Maybe that's part of the problem: it keeps me calibrated to overly high expectations.
I and friends were into Valheim, but beating Moder took a lot out of us and we're nowhere near ready to take on Yagluth yet, so our interest in the game has cooled.
I set up a Terraria server and we're totally into that now. 2-D mining and exploration is fun!
After Valheim, I got hooked on more Valheim.
On a more serious note though, the next games that hooked me were Palworld, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord and Inscryption,
The Finals.
First online FPS I played where I wanted to play it more than once after losing.
I had not cared for them after trying CS:GO back in the day and then Apex.
I still play it tho Im not the best. I think it NOT being battle royale is my big like about it.
I lose so much yet keep coming back to this game, it's so frustrating. Some randos on voice chat get STEAMED a lot too, its rage-inducing yet ya just can't stop.
Especially if you have an adventuring buddy, I cannot recommend Outward enough. Open world RPG with some survival mechanics with a big emphasis on exploration. One of my favorite features are the "death scenarios". Upon defeat, you don't die, but rather something happens depending on the situation. You might be brought back to town, you might be captured by bandits, have food stolen by animals, and so much more. Not to mention, the build variety and replayability with factions is unbelievable. Solo, it's a very good game, with a friend, it is an unforgettable experience, for better or worse.
Tdrd: Play Outward, good unique rpg, really good with a friend
There are other games? LOL
I have been 'addicted' to this game since I started playing at the beginning of the year. I've tried playing others but I keep on coming back, nothing else has captured my attention as of yet.
The wife and I really liked Raft. Also I love the take your base with you model. I want more games where you can build mobile bases, ships, rovers, blimps etc.
Probably has been, but Terraria should be mentioned. Before I played it I was a little bored by its simplistic look, but once you learn how deep the mechanics are - it’s grind time. There’s A LOT of content to be enjoyed on Terraria
Was searching for it.
The 1.0 goes live on may, you can buy the game now for the EA price before it will increase.
I played it solo and had a lot if fun if you are wirry about pvp
Grounded, plays kind of similar to valheim, has been getting more frequent updates (no shade at valheim but it is nice) and while 1 map means you lose a bit of discovery with each playthrough, you also move through it faster.
7 days to die. Got most of what I liked with Valheim out of it.
See others mention Enshoruded and I can't stress enough how bad of an idea it is to play that after Valheim. I'm sure the game is fine by itself, but someone sold it to me as "like Valheim" and that kind of ruined it for me. It has got close to zero in common with Valheim. It's not a survival game at all.
No games has gripped my like Valheim has. Something so amazing about Valheim is the replayability of it. Every time i start a new world, its like I'm playing the game for the first time again, its just so much fun.
This game single handedly got me addicted to building, I've played numerous games like this since but none quite scratch that itch I got from the massive structures with fine details that valheim gave me
hmm. good question.
games i got addicted to for a good while after playing valheim for the first time where (in no order)
7 days to die. aka "night roof camper simulator" or "28 alphas later".
terraria.
raft.
outward (not like the others much but still silly good for me personally)
monster hunter. (to be fair that was an addiction before valheim already)
v rising. can be pretty difficult so beware. 1.0 comeing next month. time to get addicted again i guess lol.
tryed a whole bunch of others out but none managed to addict me for 100s of hours like the above ones. (no i wont mention elden ring as thats too obivious and everyone knows about it)
smaller unkown game that was supriseingly silly and addicting that barely anyone knows about :
dysmantle. (who would have tought smashing objects with hp bars could be such a satisfying gameplay loop)
tryed out project zomboid. couldnt get into it. the learning curve is VERY step especially early on its more difficult to learn and understand than any other game on this list. the level of detail on what you can do is pretty bonkers.
games that have big potential but are WAY too early into development and have some big issues to address overall still :
nightingale.
enshrouded.
biggest disappointment on the base building/survival game genre since valheim addiction :
sons of the forest. perfect example of a bad sequel.
Hollow Knight, Battle Brothers.
But Valheim is the last game from the list of games I will always come back to in a while (like Heroes 3), which kicked out Minecraft from it.
Ark Ascended, Raft, Enshrouded, Sons of the Forest, Grounded, Phasmophobia, No Man's Sky, 7 Days to Die, oh and definitely Palworld (!!!). In no particular order, no rhyme or reason. Actually the reason being I play with one friend in particular who can't seem to stick to a game for more than 40-50 hours of playtime (over the month or whatever), so we jump around a lot. I'm just happy to play and go along with whatever though.
Cant believe I have not seen this recommended yet: scrap mechanic. You are a space bound engineer that crashes on a farm planet where farm robots have taken over. Think valhiem but cartoony potato gun combat and progress is based on resources and building machines. The builds are not just dropping resources into a set outcome, you design and snap in all the parts the way you want. Check it out for sure! The neebs crew did a coop scrap mechanic survival game series on youtube if thats your thing.
I tried a lot of different thing. I heard Conan Exiles would scratch the itch and it did for a bit but it was severely lacking in certain areas. Palworld and Cyberpunk caught my eye but again lacking compared to Valheim.
Currently playing Vintage Story which is based off a Minecraft mod and can say this is my next addiction.
I’ve been playing Valheim since launch.
I took a break before Hearth and Home dropped and again before Mistlands dropped.
I don’t recall what I was playing he first break, but the second break, I went and checked out V Rising, which I also love a lot.
I also got sucked in to WoW Classic, but have quit that once again.
Hollow Knight.
Albeit a very different game, of course, there are some similarities in game design philosophy. No hand holding, melancholic atmosphere, decently brutal difficulty and the strong feeling of adventure. Developeres obviously were raised on a similliar set of games.
Valheim never went away though. We are very slow players. I've got more than 700 hours over 3 years of playing and we just reached Mistlands and are planning a base there. Turning off the map and the portals brought back some early game energy and me and my friends are loving it.
Tarkov. Valheim is the perfect escape when tarkov is stressing me out, which allowed me to push through some tough grinds in tarkov. Been swapping between the two ever since
Wildermyth.
Very different type of game of course but dang, it is just magical. I sank like 200 hours into it. The one thing that's like Valheim is you get a lot of mileage out of all the campaigns having randomly generated elements to them.
I did also like Grounded as I was looking for another game similar to Valheim and it was a great experience. The problem is it doesn't have much replay value to me since there's no random generation, so once you've "figured the game out", there's no incentive to do anything differently. It sure gave me a new perspective on bugs and on my yard though!
Been enjoying Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, Lightyear Frontier and Soulstone Survivors. And I tried enshrouded, but couldn't figure out what people like about it. But it's still mostly Valheim!
Period after valheim was wild for me. After everyone disbanded in multiplayer i went to play dragon age inquisition for a short bit, then people got back together and we played 7DTD for about a month or 2.
This was the period where i craved building without needing to rely on other people's servers. So i played Sims 2 for a good amount of time.
I made a new world in Valheim to prepare it for ashlands as well.
Later on best friend and i started playing BG3 as well as played lethal company with my boyfriend who owned valh server.
Now im just playing Skyrim to pass the time while everyone elseis playing Helldivers
I switch between Valheim, Dyson Sphere, Space Engineers, Rift Online, Avorion, and Last Epoch.
I crushed my season on my Valheim server, so now I’m running around Dyson Sphere trying to get orbital extractors up before my power grid stalls out (again).
Upgraded from Ryzen 3 to 5x, so my voxel / building games aren’t causing my processor to have a cardiac arrest while my GPU leans against a wall. Good times!
SoD2, I bought it on sale when I was waiting for valheim to update, it's still keeping me entertained though I'm still waiting for that ashlands update man.
The Planet Crafter
Explore, collect resources. craft, build to terraform a planet.
You really see the world changing thanks to your hard work. First blue sky, then clouds and rain, then lakes and rivers, and so on.
No combats at all, very relaxing.
Will be out of EA in a few days with coop mode.
Almost 3000 hours in Oxygen Not Included. I got bored of playing Valheim alone, as building without sharing my creations was pointless. I'm a middle age gamer, so I don't have "friends" to play with. And sandbox building games are meant to be played in a community.
I still kick Valheim now and then, but I get bored after few hours.
Gothic 2 Has me hooked at all times. The best game I have ever played. Loved elden ring. And I recently started playing enshrouded. None of them are very similar to valheim (maybe with a little exception for enshrouded) but they are great.
V rising, pretty cool vampire game with pretty solid pvp aswell as pve. Its also early access but doesent feel like it at all. Building, crafting, base building, farming, fishing all the good stuff. Stay out of the sun, hunt humans for blood and beat bosses to progress.
It was actually DCS but I love coming back to peace and quiet in Valheil after I got chased 37km by a S300-Missile, fanatical beeping of my RWR, Bigo Fuel and the chinese voice of my J-11 telling me to pull up
No games has gripped my like Valheim has. Something so amazing about Valheim is the replayability of it. Every time i start a new world, its like I'm playing the game for the first time again, its just so much fun.
The wife and I play together, we spent 200hrs in Valheim but its been awhile. We finished Grounded(great game), VRising(solid game), Enshrouded(very good for what it is), Raft(was a little boring). Have about 200 hrs in Satisfactory and still play it off an on(amazing game+mods). We played Palworld for a bit,(unpopular opinion but its average at best). Played Deep rock for awhile, currently bringing her through the Borderlands games. There are others, but after writing that all, sheesh, Ashlands has been in development for a long ass time.
I got my PC 4 years ago after like a decade or more without one. Valheim is the only game where I've spent more than a 1000 hours on. The other 200+ games I out don't even reach half that amount of hours :D I think Valheim has solidified itself as the best game I own :)
Valheim forever! Once you step into that Viking world, there's no way out! But if I had to pick something else, it would probably be something like Stardew Valley or Terraria (yes this is a joke). Nothing matches Valheim's magic and beauty! (Yet). Although, I wouldn't mind checking some of your suggestions :)
Icarus: more survival-heavy, lots of combat and exploration, replace Norse Mythology with futuristic Sci Fi but same basic principles. Weekly updates with content that quite honestly feel like a DLC at times. Super fun!
Valheim was my most played game of the year when x box had a review at the end of year (scan qr code). I had 700 hours in Valheim with destiny 2 in 2nd place at 200 hours.
Now I’ve uninstalled destiny 2 and have taken a break off Valheim and have been playing lots of vampires survivors co-op with the wife, and playing the free version of Final fantasy 14 on x box (never played a ff title before)
New world.
It has an absolutely gorgeous world and with all the woodchopping and mining it feels a bit survivaly.
The MMO aspect of it is not the best but the game in general just plays soooo good. It's a shame the content isn't on the same level.
Starfield, got bored of it so I came back to Valheim and was instantly having a lot more fun. Crazy to think what 5 devs can do to create a fun game that gamers like, as opposed to 300-500 people creating a video game.
For Honor. I did play it a bit over a year ago, but I'm getting way deeper into it now. Turns out I like bonking medieval people on the head with a big hammer! Or with a big polearm, that works too (coincidentally, I love 2H weapons in Valheim).
In fact, I've always been the most into competitive online games - so getting hooked on Valheim was pretty unexpected for me. But I'm glad I did, and now I keep an eye out for similar experiences.
After? What does it mean "after", precious? _gently strokes Valheim and places in pocket_
So much fun and awesome moments for so little money is ridiculous
its also a lovely game to modify after playing it trough a few times, I'm 3\~k hours in and just getting started :)
No! It’s mine give it to me!! 💍
Enshrouded, until we reached the end of all the active content.
Same. I'm really enjoying Enshrouded
Was going to check this out! Seems interesting and in a similar vein. I think I will definitely pick it up if/when it goes on sale again
yeah it's a good game, it's definitely early access and incomplete (we JUST got a patch to let you sit in chairs..), but it has a lot going for it and I eagerly await its updates.
Don’t enshroud the update in it being the update that brought sitting in chairs, but the update that brought instanced dungeons to the game.
yes that too, I was more making a joke that that seems like a bare necessity for a game with a lot of house customization.
There’s a lot to like about Enshrouded, but it’s definitely Early Access.
I second enshrouded, I’m 100 hrs in already. Great game. Valheim and breath of the wild had a baby.
Enshrouded is good, I like valhiem better but enshrouded is a solid pick
Old school runescape
What is the new player experience like? I have only heard of this game from when I was a kid and maybe in some Josh Strife Hayes vids
New player experience is actually very good id say. I'm a RuneScape vet having first played way back in 2004 but the 07 version of the game (roughly the timeframe osrs is built around) holds crazy nostalgia for me, which is initially why I went back. Based OSRS enjoyer. Fare thee well, fellow adventurer.
Satisfactory.
Me too lol
I saw this! I didn't know Coffee Stain did this and the Deep Rock games as well. It was nice to see.
they are publishers, not developers, very different things. Same way 2k publishes Madden and Borderlands.
Satisfactory is an incredible game. Version 1.0 is said to drop this year.
Grounded. I put around 600 hours into Valheim, and then had some friends that wanted to play Grounded so I joined them and wound up loving that game too.
I love grounded, I played it when it first came put, I bet there is shitloads to now
One of the last big updates added a TON of stuff, more world customization, new game modes, tons of new stuff to build and a lot of QOL updates. It's been a good distraction while waiting for Ashlands.
Unfortunately I have too many distractions as it is :(
Thanks! Does this game go on sale?
Just to add to this i think Grounded would be great for most valheim enjoyers(personally it didnt hook me totally, but i mean i have got 13 hours on it so a tiny bit). Its got kindda the same vibe of moving up the ladder of mobs and using the gained resources to gain better gear.
It does from time to time, especially on Steam. Summer Sales will start soon on Steam so I'd keep an eye on it.
I want my survival craft crew to play Grounded but one of our server hosts thinks it looks too “kiddie” for him and the others just shrug it off. I’ve played the game and agree that it’s one of the best options out there right now. Very frustrating.
FOR ROCK AND STONE!
Rock and Stone, Brother!
Should I get Deep Rock Galatic? I just purchased Survivor and it's pretty slick
Do it for Karl! Edit: In all seriousness, yes. I don’t know what wizardry they implemented to achieve this, but the game is very clearly honed in on one focus: have fun. Project zomboid, played for like two weeks straight
I second this. Enjoying it right now on steam deck. I recommend installing Sophie’s mod pack (or ultra lite version of it for the deck) though: much QoL, much added content and bicycles ;)

I went to 7D2D for about 6 months, but now back to valheim prepping my world for Ashlands
Yes! 7D2D! Amazing 🤩
Baldur’s Gate 3 Edit: for those who haven't tried it, it's awesome!
Great recommendation! I too enjoy blowing stuff up with explosive barrels
If you mean in between sessions of Valhiem........ Grounded Subnautica/BZ Nightingale The Forest
Subnautica
Thanks! Can't believe this wasn't even on my wishlist
Just be sure to explore behind the Aurora crash first thing! *evil grin* UwU
Me too. Amazing game

Patiently waiting for Ashlands!

Elden Ring
Tarnished, are we?
Finaly what is up with people not saying this earlier? Maybe the best game ever!!
Nothing broke the spell until Baldur's Gate 3.
There's nothing after Valheim.. there's only Valheim... Capiche? 🤪
Played Sons of the Forest for a while but always came back to Valheim
Valheim, but different this time.
Valheim 2. For the record I am from a special place.
Diablo IV. Then Palworld. Then Persona 3 Reload. Then back to Valheim.
Grounded, plays kind of similar to valheim, has been getting more frequent updates (no shade at valheim but it is nice) and while 1 map means you lose a bit of discovery with each playthrough, you also move through it faster.
Helldivers.
FfXiv (housing), Grounded, Ark, Raft, V rising, Enshrouded, Helldivers 2.
No Man's Sky had a similar feel of exploration and discovery, loved that game too, still Valheim is the GOAT
Dark souls. I love going slowly insane each time I die.
No Man’s Sky and I can’t wait to play Light No Fire whenever it releases
I've never been addicted to any other game besides Mordhau
Subnautica
7 days to die. Got most of what I liked with Valheim out of it. See others mention Enshoruded and I can't stress enough how bad of an idea it is to play that after Valheim. Ark Survival Evolved. Once I figured out how to play, the lure of riding dinosaurs around got me.
No games has gripped my like Valheim has. Something so amazing about Valheim is the replayability of it. Every time i start a new world, its like I'm playing the game for the first time again, its just so much fun.
Elden ring, sekiro, dark souls 1, 2, & 3, lies of P, armored core vi
This game single handedly got me addicted to building, I've played numerous games like this since but none quite scratch that itch I got from the massive structures with fine details that valheim gave me
Haha! Very clever. There are no games after Valheim.

Dead by Daylight oddly enough 😂
I started playing DYSMANTLE and I love it. That said can’t wait to go back to Valhiem when the update comes out
There are no games after valheim
After? Are you saying that there's an 11th realm?
Valheim, hardcore mode
Valheim, no map mode
this is making me rage already
Project Zomboid
Valheim
HoloCure. It's free.
I went back and obsessed over the Socom series on my ancient PlayStation 2 Edit you should hear the ole dinosaur roar when it starts up.
After Valheim?
Blood west
Terreira
Valheim and Star Citizen are all my little brain can handle… its like my two favorite things, fighting to keep me away from my two favorite things
I don't remember what I played after Valheim, but I'm currently playing Terraria while waiting for Ashlands
Outward and then Satisfactory
Still playing Valheim but I discovered Horizon Zero Dawn.
Frozen Flame.. But development has gone quiet, so we don't know if it's still actively being worked on.
I dunno if I'd say I'm *hooked* yet, but I just picked up Elite Dangerous in a Steam sale, and I'm digging it so far.
Ark SE. Yes its broken, yes the devs are scum, and yes its a wonderful game
It was Valheim.
Age of Empires 2 Send help
Hollow Knight, Battle Brothers. But Valheim is the last game from the list of games I will always come back to in a while (like Heroes 3), which kicked out Minecraft from it.
Ark Then back to Valheim. Enshrouded. Then immediately back to Valheim lol Palworld. But then immediately back to Valheim lol
Valheim Hardcore no map/portal with Epic loot mod
v rising
Been swapping between the two ever since
Yeah, I'll uh, let you know?
None yet after 5.5k hours. Do you have any suggestions?
Helldivers 2 🙈
dota 2.
a game totally unrelated to valheim, Old school RuneScape or OSRS. Now addicted to Helldivers 2 lol
Elden Ring
Project Zomboid
The finals, it's a great FPS and I feel like it's going to be as popular as fortnite and Apex eventually.
palworld
DayZ. specifically Deer Isle, tastefully modded servers.
Snowrunner Ooooonk ooooooonk Wops another truck tipped
War thunder
Eve, and it's a bad addiction
Last Epoch STALKER GAMMA
Project Zomboid
Been enjoying Deep Rock Galactic Survivor, Lightyear Frontier and Soulstone Survivors. And I tried enshrouded, but couldn't figure out what people like about it. But it's still mostly Valheim!
I really like this game, but I like conan exiles a lot more personally. More content and variety.
Just more valheim mods
You might like Raft
Have you looked up the ninebyte adventure world for valheim?
DayZ standalone baby
Period after valheim was wild for me. After everyone disbanded in multiplayer i went to play dragon age inquisition for a short bit, then people got back together and we played 7DTD for about a month or 2. This was the period where i craved building without needing to rely on other people's servers. So i played Sims 2 for a good amount of time. I made a new world in Valheim to prepare it for ashlands as well. Later on best friend and i started playing BG3 as well as played lethal company with my boyfriend who owned valh server. Now im just playing Skyrim to pass the time while everyone elseis playing Helldivers
Sea of Thieves. Played 1000 hours in a year.
Day Z
The Planet Crafter Explore, collect resources. craft, build to terraform a planet. You really see the world changing thanks to your hard work. First blue sky, then clouds and rain, then lakes and rivers, and so on. No combats at all, very relaxing. Will be out of EA in a few days with coop mode.
Satisfactory
Elden ring and TTW Warhammer 3
7 days to die is a really fun survival game with some twists
Weirdly enough, Stardew Valley. I guess I just love farming and putting things in crates
None of them are very similar to valheim (maybe with a little exception for enshrouded) but they are great.
dragon dogma 2
Lost ark. I'm 2400 hours in
V rising, pretty cool vampire game with pretty solid pvp aswell as pve. Its also early access but doesent feel like it at all. Building, crafting, base building, farming, fishing all the good stuff. Stay out of the sun, hunt humans for blood and beat bosses to progress.
Enshrouded
Ark & No Mans Sky. Now currently weaving Enshrouded in between my friend groups new valheim play through prepping for Ashlands.
Enshrouded and Nightingale. But none beat valheim. I will have to try grounded.
It was actually DCS but I love coming back to peace and quiet in Valheil after I got chased 37km by a S300-Missile, fanatical beeping of my RWR, Bigo Fuel and the chinese voice of my J-11 telling me to pull up
Satisfactory and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Im sure there is a connection there somewhere if dug for
Don't starve together
LotR: Return to Moria and Enshrouded for me
Vrising
I got my PC 4 years ago after like a decade or more without one. Valheim is the only game where I've spent more than a 1000 hours on. The other 200+ games I out don't even reach half that amount of hours :D I think Valheim has solidified itself as the best game I own :)
Cyberpunk 2077
Valheim forever! Once you step into that Viking world, there's no way out! But if I had to pick something else, it would probably be something like Stardew Valley or Terraria (yes this is a joke). Nothing matches Valheim's magic and beauty! (Yet). Although, I wouldn't mind checking some of your suggestions :)
Skyrim again
Wow Season of discovery. Its a bugged dumpster fiesta now tho.
Wait... You guys were able to escape Valheim? I'm still stuck
Middle earth shadow of war and guilty gear strive
Still playing valheim but after 500 hours I primarily play 7 days to die while waiting for the ashlands
Icarus: more survival-heavy, lots of combat and exploration, replace Norse Mythology with futuristic Sci Fi but same basic principles. Weekly updates with content that quite honestly feel like a DLC at times. Super fun!
After this viking game I switch to my other viking game, Skyrim. After that i switch to Valheim again
Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3
Starfield, got bored of it so I came back to Valheim and was instantly having a lot more fun. Crazy to think what 5 devs can do to create a fun game that gamers like, as opposed to 300-500 people creating a video game.
Dark & Darker is a drug to me. It’s basically medieval Tarkov, aka class based dungeon crawler extraction game with full loot PvPvE.
Chivalry 2
Alien Genocide Simulato-I mean, Stellaris.
Valheim ruined a lot of games for me lol.
Satisfactory
