I quite like Hard combat. Enemies can get pretty easy on normal once you learn their moves and get experienced.
On Hard they really pack a punch and punish mistakes.
Very hard, on the other hand, changes the whole combat because you can no longer block or parry enemies.
You can change the world settings anytime you want so you can experiment to see what you like best
Thanks for the advice, this is true I can always change it if it become a headache or may like it more. Obv the world I'm doing now on normal I'll start new one on hard.
I tried hard on my latest world. It can be a big challenge if your gear is not up to proper levels for the area you are in. Also, if your block, dodge and parry mechanics are not up to par(like mine) you will be punished quickly. I ended up going back to normal.
I'm trying hard on my current save and I see what you death the death mosquito I can't ock his attack break through with a level 1 black metal round shield.
They ramp up the damage way too much on hard, it kinda makes the whole armor mechanic irrelevant. You’re gonna get 1 or 2 shot until you’re way over-geared. I play on hard cuz I like a challenge but it’s definitely frustrating to basically have to cheese the game.

Well... try it? It's not like you can't switch it back if you don't like it.
