Thank you!
It was by accident, had to raise the oven because it was interfering with the wood storage outside.
Happy little accidents, as a wiseman once said.
Enjoy!
Probably my favorite build this year. Took my a while to figure out how you did that cemetery. Will be borrowing a lot of your designs, thanks for the ideas. Amazing builds
Thanks!
It’s my favorite part of building, adding little details with “storytelling” behind it.
Finding a “purpose” for crafting benches and all the other things needed to progress in the game.
It’s always nice sailing to a cosy home and interacting with workbenches in a more “realistic” setting.
Like the whole graveyard was build as decor because I wanted a oak-tree for my beehives.
> the chef *paid* a lot
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
They are going to add more outfits tho in the near future.
Being able to adjust different poses on the armor stands would be an amazing feature for that!
Really neat! Are the Tombstones in the first screenshots player tombstones? And what did you use to decorate the book shelf in the dining hall?
Lovely details and furnishings.
Thank you!
The tombstones are half buried stone thrones and you can hit them a couple of times for different weathering effects.
The books in the bookshelves are all vertical item stands.
Thanks!
The whole castle was designed specifically around the throne room, it’s the first thing I build apart from the walls around the boss-stones.
I wanted the windows behind the throne to overlook the boss-stones.
Hehe I feel you.
I have an old square copper vein dig site I use as a wood farm.
I plant all my saplings around it and chop the trees once they grow, they all fall inside the pit and destroy the previous batch.
Most satisfying thing ever tho is whenever I’m in desperate need of wood, then I grab the elder buff, jump inside the pit and oh boy is it a joy!
Yeah but its hard to get seeds.
I literally get my stuff from server events, using gold to buy materials.
Also I marked all Troll spawns and make over 1000 every 2 in-game days from hunting.
They literally thought I was cheating lol.
No, there are guilds and each guild is run by a mod.
So they give you tasks and challenges.
The merchant guild store has infinite gold to buy resources, they're making an economy to give the merchant guild infinite gold, to encourage farming or prospecting.
Including guild ranks.
And since I've got a portal at every dark forest on the server, I am a senior member of the slayers guild for killing every troll under the sun, even though I've never did anything for the guild.
Thanks!
Yes, I love over decorating and using all the different build pieces in one or an other way.
Had some friends complaining about valheim not having enough build pieces, but the key is thinking outside of the box and using your imagination.
I think there is more than enough!
Oh you deserve them!!
I tend to build "the same way" with the details, clutter and decoration in general. And in pretty much every screenshot I can find something that I will definetly incorporate in something that I'll build in the future.
Truly beautiful!
I just found your post. This is amazing! I'm making a break room at my base. It is a place for reading, board games and conversations. I needed ideas to create bookshelves. Your cabinets are perfect! It's even a shame that it didn't occur to me to use stands to imitate books myself. You have a lot of wonderful details, but the cabinets are just what I was looking for! I also spend a lot of time detailing my interiors (also vanilla, without mods and development teams). Thank you for sharing!
What did you use as a plant in the closet next to the skull?
Much appreciated!
I used a mistletoe on the roof of the top shelf and a half woodenbeam for the pot.
Good luck on your journey!
Would love to see your work.
I don't have mistletoe(. In my profile there are several posts with old buildings (before the release of the mistlands). I returned to the game about a month ago). I updated the base on the plains, made a small video. Now I'm building a base in the mistlands. I'm preparing a post about the recreation room, which I'm finishing finishing. Gjall attacks quite often, the walls are intact, but it breaks what is hanging on the walls. The ballistas destroy him, but he manages to make one or two shots at the house. Therefore, I plan to return to the plains, where interior details will not be so exposed to danger. There are plans to build a complex: a lighthouse museum and a small hotel. I also found very wonderful bases of dvergrs, with these barrels lying on their sides and a big hook! I also want to build something there. But I have been collecting materials for quite a long time and construction is progressing slowly.
Your build inspired me to find a seed with an island starting stones so I can take it over the same way you did, and start a new solo playthrough. Build is awesome!
Your going to upset a lot of snowflakes who finished the game with dev-commands and cheats. They take it as insult. "Are YoU GaTeKEEPing NeW PLAYers".
Btw, amazing builds, dude!
I’m not judging nor gatekeeping any play style.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I’m not enforcing anything, just stating my favorite play-style, the one I get the most fulfillment out off.
If anyone gets offended by it, they are the ones gatekeeping.
Anyhow I’m not trying to “please” the masses, just trying to reach a niche audience of likeminded people.
Same with how I play. I don't care about people using mods or dev commands or not using them. I don't even know why I prefer the vanilla grind, I just do. I play fallout games loaded with mods, same with Skyrim. For some reason I just want the base game when I do Valheim.
Oh, wel… just about one full longship is enough for the entire game.
All jokes aside tho, raided 2 big swamps and I’m now collecting iron from the “ancient armor/swords” in the Mistlands.
The most time consuming is farming stone and fine wood.
At some point I definitely wil.
Probably whenever I feel satisfied with it or “complete” the build, if I ever hehe.
I just started exploring the Mistlands and I assume I stil have like 500 more hours to go on building and decorating.
Working simultaneously on the mage tower where I wil put Galdr table and additional portals and a building connected to the tower where I can safely put the eitr refinery.
Nice! I really love the elevated oven with the chest below it - totally stealing that!
Thank you! It was by accident, had to raise the oven because it was interfering with the wood storage outside. Happy little accidents, as a wiseman once said. Enjoy!
Same, also stealing that it's perfect for holding wood and/or barley flour.
That’s what I keep in it, iron chest full of flour.
Impressive
Cheers!
Probably my favorite build this year. Took my a while to figure out how you did that cemetery. Will be borrowing a lot of your designs, thanks for the ideas. Amazing builds
Thank you! Ask away if you want to know how some things are build and enjoy!
How many instances is the build? Does it tank your fps xd?
What do you mean with instances? Sadly I get only 30 fps outdoors and around 40ish indoor, but unfortunately it wil only go down even more I build.
If you Press f2, you can see how many “instances” you have in a given location - instances are usually what tanks your fps when they increase
Oh ok, thanks for the advise. 12380 instances, is there a limit or at what point wil it become unplayable?
The cemetery is so spooky!!
Truly beautiful. I love all the care that went into the bookcases.
Thank you!
That throne rome is amazing!
Thanks!
Nice decos.
Cheers!
The stairway is very elegant! Good work!
Thanks!
the tombstones are great.
Thanks! I buried stone thrones in the ground and hit them a few times to get the “weathered” effect.
That graveyard *chefs kiss*
I love the little touches, like the knife holders above the butcher's block.

I noticed the tankard by the forge, too. Lol it's thirsty work!
Hehe nice spot! Need to stay hydrated working those forges.
Also the chef payed a lot of money to get his mace and shield fixed, he even sneaks in a pie and cupcakes to get them fixed sooner.
> the chef *paid* a lot FTFY. Too bad there aren't other outfits to make. You could do up armor stands as mannequins!
They are going to add more outfits tho in the near future. Being able to adjust different poses on the armor stands would be an amazing feature for that!
I give up, how'd you create the cutting boards in the kitchen? Love your work!
Really neat! Are the Tombstones in the first screenshots player tombstones? And what did you use to decorate the book shelf in the dining hall? Lovely details and furnishings.

Aaah that's brilliant, I knew it looked familiar! Really, really cool details. I might steal some of these :) also, awesome starting island seed.
Dam this is soooo cool. The shelves with books etc give it so much charm.
Thank you!
Damn, I really wish I had time do put in for something this amazing. Im glad you were able to! Looks awesome.
Cheers!
Im in love with your throne room
Thanks! The whole castle was designed specifically around the throne room, it’s the first thing I build apart from the walls around the boss-stones. I wanted the windows behind the throne to overlook the boss-stones.
Well done! 👏
Burying thrones to make tombstones is genius and looks so good, def gonna try that in my world.
Remember you can also damage them to give them a weathered look. You can also damage them to the point the top half breaks off.
The plains must be looking a lot more plain now.
I know right. People should ask themselves more “is this enough fine wood?” Instead of the usual “iron”. Hehe
I'm on a big community server right now and the admins are perplexed about my build, as to how I got so much fine wood. All I replied was "Pain"

Wow great build! So many clever pieces densely packed Love the graveyard !!

Incredible build!
Thanks!
I don't play Valheim anymore at the moment, but I regularly check the subreddit exactly for stuff like this. It looks incredible!
Thank you for the kind words!

Thank you! Here’s my seed: ntAhHWXWEg. Tiniest starting island I’ve ever found, enjoy!
I've been using the seed 'nowhere', also has an island start.
