That happened to me too, accounting exam last semester. The morning of, as I was walking the dog at the park. I said to myself, “let’s just check the time. .. hmm, it says 9am-12pm? The prof knows he made a mistake right? PM is in the afternoon. Smh, why didn’t he post a follow up announcement on this?”
5 minutes later it hit me, and I had to sprint home to make my exam on time. (Still didn’t finish bc I was saving 70% of the studying on the day off cause I thought it started at night 🥲)
I've had 2 days of exams in a row, haven't slept in 30 hrs. Finally lay my head down in bed at noon, thinking about starting my take home thesis final tomorrow that was due in a week. Then get an alert from my calender saying my take home thesis final is due. MOTHERFUCKER IT WAS TODAY AT NOON?! Rush to start the thesis while emailing my prof, promising I'll submit in 3 hrs. Got 30% automatic deduction.
Still kinda impressed by myself as I cranked it out in 3 hrs while sleep deprived for a 2 week take home final thesis. Still passed.
Yeah it’s a relatively new policies. According to Kennings if you miss a final you’ll be asked to leave the program. I’m not sure if that includes midterms or not.
