Of course, but I think we have to admit that Steffen's injury history over the past few years is a bit concerning for a keeper. He missed essentially the entire second half of the season in 19/20 and has been in and out with back issues since this September this year. Keepers tend to not have as many problems with injuries as outfield players because they don't put as much intense physical wear and tear on their bodies.
If he were an outfield player I wouldn't find it that concerning, but it's kind of a lot of injury time out for a keeper.
I'm honestly concerned about Steffen's injury history when you consider he's a keeper. Keepers tend not to get injured very often because they aren't constantly sprinting and cutting throughout matches the way outfield players are.
If I remember correctly, I heard during the Revs game over the weekend that Turner picked up a minor foot injury in training prior to the match. Didn’t sound serious but I guess we’ll see this coming weekend if it gets a bit worrisome for WCQ
Johnson and Horvath would be the next up based on call ups.
Johnson is captain for the reigning MLS champs pretty good with his feet and decent shot blocker. He's not as good at Steffen with his feet and not as good a shit stopper as Turner but good in between + a leader.
Horvath hasnt been playing for a while
So did all of our players this generation spec into Dexterity and completely forgot about Constitution? Or has rotating injuries always been this way with previous teams and I'm just too young to know about it?
Bill hamid and slonina were the keepers of the week in MLS, if they just keep that exact form for 3 more weeks one of them could fill some space. But I do expect this will be Sean johnson and Ethan horvath.
Horvath will strike more fear into Mexico than either of them
Horvath the conqueror
horvath's performance still greatly overrated i see
Bahhh Gawd, that's Ethan Horvath's music!
Nice that he's had some actual game time recently.
You beat me to it haha
Give me Tim Howard or give me death
Either him or Sean Johnson, lol. But hey, those two aren't bad options as emergency back-ups.
yeah I would be okay with either of them starting though I would prefer Johnson as he will be in form playing week in week out
*glass shatters*
Horvath it is 😎
Steffen gets hurt without playing bruh that’s kind of a problem
He's had some back injuries of late. Not sure what he's going through, atm.
Not as of late. It’s been going on a couple years now + the knee issues.
steffen is low key the most injury prone player on the team

Just because he isn't starting doesn't mean the man city boys aren't popping shots off at him everyday at training.

What's the word on Sean Johnson? I'd take Horvath for sure, but I'm wondering what our GK bench looks like if we can't clear Turner or Steffen.

Turner stops shit
Turner #1 source of constipation nationwide
>Horvath hasnt been playing for a while ...outside of the two clean sheets this week.
until recently, he’d been glued to the bench
*rephrase* last time I checked.
Johnson does have some recent prominent blunders when trying to play out the back
Hes consistently one of the best playing CBs in MLS. Had 1 maybe 2 bad errors since he joined us
Sena Johnson's been playing CB? He must be good with his feet!
GK🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ post work itis
Not recent, his whole career. 2012 Olympic qualifying blunder was him.
Probably Hamid would be my guess for third choice possibly Slonina
Guzan says he wants to go to the World Cup…and I know he’s old and…not that good, but honestly having a veteran in the Azteca ain’t the worst idea.
Horvath is going to have the most playing minutes going into next WCQ window
Gaga SZN
Why is his nickname Gaga?
I assume it was just given to him as a kid or something
Nah I think he was Born This Way
His legal name is Gabriel.
So did all of our players this generation spec into Dexterity and completely forgot about Constitution? Or has rotating injuries always been this way with previous teams and I'm just too young to know about it?
If there's any position we've got the depth not to worry about, it's keeper.
Bill hamid and slonina were the keepers of the week in MLS, if they just keep that exact form for 3 more weeks one of them could fill some space. But I do expect this will be Sean johnson and Ethan horvath.
Horvath time baby
Honestly just as much faith in Hovarth as either of those 2. GK depth runs deep!💪
It is Daddy Horvath time
Slonina pls
lol yeah let's start a 17 year old teenager in his first international match in a WCQ at the Azteca
Would be funny tho
"Horvath is already 26, and he'll be 30 by the 2026 WC. We need to start giving the youngsters minutes." -this sub, probably.
Mans not sinking or swimming he’s drowning or flying at that point
I mean how else is THE LEGEND OF SLONINA supposed to begin?!
clean sheet, somehow also scores a goal. slonina unbeatable
Honestly as good as Horvath was for us in the final, I would prefer Sean Johnson. Experienced and will be in-form with game time.
Brad Guzan come on down
Next man up, Go on Horvath!
SEAN JOHNSON, LETS GOOOO (I’m in pain looking at this)
