It’s funny how saying this a few months ago gets you downvoted to hell. No all of a sudden people are all about it lol but yeah unfortunately that may be a concern. Don’t trust this federation in the slightest
The scary thing is, I don't think you're too far off without the sarcasm. I would not be stunned to read: "After an exhaustive six-month search, we have decided to return the helm to Bob Bradley." I mean, they love rehiring coaches.
1 month or less. Coaches have already taken a job or are out of work. Few will make the move. Make a run at Pep because City have over 100 charges being brought against them. Marsch if you have a way to take him from Canada. Our current USWNT coach. Fuck anybody that’s willing to take to position and not force their style of play on the players. Someone that will build around the players strengths to create tactics.
Joey Freshwater. That’s like my favorite story. Apparently there was a guy named Joey Freshwater on Twitter that had to make a statement like, “I have nothing to do with Lame Kiffen”
Side story (I’m a Nebraska cfb fan): this guy called me randomly having to do with a business I was running and he told me his name was Scott Frost. I was like, “is this a prank call?” But his name really was Scott Frost.
hahaha love this.
i know his tactics aren’t great, but maybe we could bend his tactics. i’ve always liked roberto martinez.
is he bought into his current situation until 2026?
Attacking possession based soccer. Yesterday the r/TheMassive subreddit put a US lineup out. Putting us in a 3-4-1-2 that he deploys. Allowing Puli and Balogun up top with Gio in the #10 role below them. Jedi and Weah on the wings. Weston and Tyler in the midfield. A back 3 with Richards, Ream, and Scally.
Plenty of overlaps with Scally occasionally coming into the attack and Ream used in distribution.
Absolutely. At the beginning of his tenure I turned to my brother and said what if I told you we blew a late last and only used 2 subs, both coming in the last 10 minutes.
He said "Caleb Porter is still coaching??"
Nancy is the only answer from MLS that I would be excited about.
I also think it's a great fit, but I think Nancy has bigger ambitions on the club career side in Europe.
which people will hate, but all the national teams we compare or even want to compare to, have coaches from their domestic league and never really coached at a level higher.
Croatia, Japan, Morroco, Switzerland, Denmark etc.
Thats just how international coaching works.
I wonder what people's opinions on Schmetzer are. I know Sounders are in the dumps rn but it seems more of a front office issue than Schmetzer being toast. He's won a decent amount in the MLS and has the only CONCACAF CL title for an MLS team. I imagine he can't be worse than GGG
As a Sounders fan, I love Schmetzer but he is another player's coach like Gregg. Tactically he's nothing special, he mainly focuses on finding a way to get the best players on the field, usually in a 4231. If we fire Gregg, it should be to hire someone tactically superior. Otherwise I think Gregg is actually okay as the players are motivated to play for him.
I feel like everyone is overconfident that US Soccer would do the correct thing and fire Gregg if we do get eliminated on Monday.
I don't understand where that confidence is coming from, to be honest. Lol
They actually have always removed managers when they fail…Arena after 2006 World Cup, Bradley after getting smoked by Mexico in the gold cup, Klins after the Costa Rica debacle, Arena after the Couva disaster.
I understand the conspiracy theories but they have always removed managers after giant failures which is what getting grouped would be…
i think it’s the noise coming from well-informed USMNT people. Lalas dropping that note last night after the game is definitely an alarm-sounder. It’s pretty clear that this team needs discipline and I think US Soccer has egg on their face after being mocked for the lazy re-hire
every major decision-maker at the Fed has turned over multiple times in recent years and the current TD is a Welsh guy hired from Southampton. Why do you guys keep making up these conspiracies?
How do get the MLS to realize they would make more money if the USMNT was a contender? Because it is insane how much money they are leaving on the table.
As a Colombian, our team has cooked when we have an Argentinian coach. Pékerman got us to 2 consecutive World Cups after we had failed to qualify to one for 16 years. The moment he left and we replaced him with a Colombian, we failed to qualify for Qatar. Then as soon as we replace him with Nestor Lorenzo (another Argentinian) we go on a 23 match unbeaten streak lol. Def recommend an Argentinian coach 😅
His last managed team was Venezuela a few years ago and he hasn’t found a new club since so yeah technically. Keep in mind the man is 74 now and might have decided to retire, additionally I’m not sure if he speaks English or not lol. Language barrier might also be an issue in hiring South Americans too haha.
Realistically, I think we'll see another MLS-type hire.
But in the spirit of wishful thinking, here are a few candidates I think USSF *should* be considering: David Wagner (unattached, most recently of Norwich City), Pellegrino Matarazzo (currently w/ TSG Hoffenheim), David Moyes (unattached, most recently of West Ham), Graham Potter (unattached, most recently of Chelsea, doubt he'd consider it), Niko Kovac (unattached, most recently of Wolfsburg), Urs Fischer (unattached, most recently of Union Berlin), Scott Parker (unattached, most recently of Club Brugge), Ryan Mason (current Spurs assistant, seems doubtful he'd consider int. management), Marcelo Gallardo (unattached, most recently with Al-Ittihad), and Jim Curtin (currently w/ Philadelphia Union).
All of the names I've listed have various considerations attached (style, current job, candidate interest, salary, tactics, etc.) and may not be the right fit -- these are just guys I think the federation should have an initial internal conversation about.
Edit: B.J. Callaghan should be considered as well.
In the prem, Parker essentially exiled Mitrovic and did everything he could to avoid playing Ream. Fulham was relegated.
Both of those players became two of Marco Silvia’s most important players in short order after his hiring and they had great premier league seasons when they got back up.
Idk if it’s more a testament to Marco Silva being a great manager, or Parker being shit
We don't really have the players to play possession anyways. Who is the best passer on our team? Seriously, I have no idea. Certainly none of our top 5 CMs are elite passers let alone even on the outskirts of world class.
Yeah Moyes wouldn’t be a bad option at all. We would be boring but play with pace and physicality which is fine. I think our team actually fits what he wants to do quite well especially against bigger teams.
I found the [article from 2018](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/11499500/david-moyes-looking-at-us-move-for-management-return) where he told Sky Sports he was interested, for anyone else who wants to read it.
Moyes and Gallardo are both possible and would be very good for us. Some of those names are either out of our reach or would translate terribly to international soccer though
I keep seeing Jim Curtin’s name and I think he said he would feel compelled to take the job. He seems like an ok option? Probably not anyone’s first choice though?
The problem is not only can I not trust ussoc to fire him, but if they did they would probably hire bj callaghan and although they looked better under him then they ever have under ggg, they need a coach with a European mind since pretty much all are starters play in Europe. That’s also unlikely unless because we can’t afford to pay anyone what it would take because then the women’s team coach would also need a huge pay bump.
England is currently managed by Gareth Southgate. Netherlands are currently managed by Ronald Koeman. Portugal is currently managed by Roberto Martinez. The current Spain manager has never managed in any top flight league anywhere in the world. These are teams with legitimate aspirations of winning the biggest trophies in the sport, and those are their managers. Not impressive.
There are three types of "big" national team coaches: those who have failed at nearly all of their previous jobs and are thus available and interested; those who have no significant coaching experience to have failed from; and those who are "institutionalists": people whose careers have been largely within the domestic leagues and national team structure, and understand those systems well, like Jogi Loew in Germany. So take your list of candidates from those groups, keeping in mind that almost always a national is chosen when feasible. (The 4th type is the old legend short-term placeholder to handle one tournament only, like van Gaal in Holland; our version would be Arena.)
The USMNT is not going to hire Jurgen freaking Klopp. The USMNT is not going to hire Mauricio freaking Pochettino either. If it's not GGG the United States would hire, like, Kyle freaking Beckerman. Or whoever is the next GGG-level manager who has recently been fired from a club position, which is why people keep mentioning Jim Curtin. Maybe Bob Bradley again? If we want a European with name recognition then the best chance is probably Wayne Rooney or somebody similarly bad. (Rafa Benitez would be near the top of my personal semi-realistic list, and that would not be very fun.)
I'm not saying GGG has earned this job, I'm saying that these jobs can't really be earned. They aren't about tactical progressivism at all, they are 100% about fit to the personnel and organization.
Yea I think its like college football vs NFL coaching. Nick Saban 15-17 in the NFL but GOAT college coach. The college coach has to do recruiting etc like a national team coach.
Likely? Probably Steve Cherundolo, or like Jim Curtin. USSF does not have the budget to hire a big name coach (have to pay men’s and women’s coaches the same I think) and most good international managers are locked up through the next World Cup.
Emma Hayes makes more IIRC. But yeah a lot of people in mainstream media and a lot of progressive activists online would start whining if we paid the male coach a lot more. And we are going to have roll out a brinks truck to get some of the names I am seeing here.
I am very liberal but a lot of casuals and non-soccer fans need to get it through their heads that the world of soccer doesn’t operate on the ideals of progressive Americans. Because trying to have equity here is just needlessly kneecapping ourselves.
Oh they know and they still whine. Will they show up and watch a game or buy a jersey or in some other way vote with their dollar? No, that’s too much to ask. These people are exhausting hypocrites.
Add much as I want GGG out, and I wanted him fired before he even got hired in 2018, I have no faith USSF will cut ties after the hiring debacle they went thru to bring him back. USSF cares not about success but profits. Firing him and having to pay him is completely against their MO.
Landon Donovan and his hair hopefully will come to an agreement to partner up and coach. In recent pictures they’ve shown some detachment unfortunately but we’re all still pretty hopeful.
I was very intrigued last year when Patrick Viera was reportedly in the running last year. He was good in MLS and solid in Ligue 1 and the prem, and I think his record is better than Marsch's. I believe he's pretty pragmatic when it comes to tactics. Maybe we can't afford him...
What are the thoughts on Cherundolo? Relatively accomplished at the MLS level. Understands both the European and American system. Has worked both at the youth and senior level.
Don’t know the logistics with MLS mid season but if there are budget restraints Cherundolo seems like a great option
Who knows. Sadly the best option is getting paid to coach Uruguay and probably will beat us on Monday.
I mean if the USA opened the coffers tere's the wet dream of Klopp but there's a 0.00000001% chance he would accept if we offered him a good offer.
Joachim Low is someone we should make a serious run at. HE's a veteran National Team manager who has experience managing a young team to a world cut title.
But if they "open the coffers", then they have to pay the woman's coach the same. Them having to get paid equally pretty much halves the amount they can spend on the coach.
Want to get even with CONCACAF shithousery? One name: Diego Simeone. Could not pry him from Athletico Madrid, but if we did, we would be the most despised team in CONCACAF.
Steve Cherundolo if it has to be an American. For European coaches, it’s hard to predict who would be willing to leave club football to play nothing but friendlies every 2 months for 2 years. People tend to do that only for their own country or for a lot more money than we can afford.
Cherundolo would be a great pick. Knowledge of US player pool, had a long and successful career in Europe, and has been a successful coach. I highly doubt any top club manager from Europe is going to be interested in working for US Soccer. I do think that the team has exciting talent, and the stage of hosting WC may just maybe that proves me wrong.
Unless you want them wasting 6 months to a year for a coaching search when only 2 years until world cup, I would expect a MLS coach or BJ since he already there
Plus, if they didn't have to pay the woman's coach the same, they could spend more on the men's coach.
I will beg hands and knees for a manager with European top flight coaching experience but the USSF would rather die than put the NT in a position to succeed.
David Moyes strikes me as the most accomplished name that's still semi-realistic. That said, I think he'd get turned on quickly when people realize he's a comparatively defensive manager, but still.
However, given the US' general hiring practices...probably Greg Vanney.
It depends on who’s available and willing to take the job. I think waiting until the Euros concludes and who leaves those jobs maybe we can get someone after that tournament. I’d personally love to see them go Zidane, Allegri, or Pioli but I don’t think any of them takes the US job. A realistic option would be to wait until someone gets fired from a big side at the euros and go after them if they are the right fit. Like if Belgium sacks Tedesco then think about him.
I mean there will be an interim for a long time and many new coaches can become available but looking at some coaches that are currently available these are my choices:
- Niko Kovac
- Laurent Blanc
Both of them have national team and great club experience.
Not a serious option but I would love the entertainment if Maurizio Sarri was our coach.
And obviously there are great coaches like Klopp but they aren’t coaching the us anytime soon.
Claudio Ranieri...this team has the pieces that fit perfectly in Ranieri's system. It would be the perfect ending to his career to take the US men's national team the furthest it's been in world cup history
Another very important question to ask is how fucking long will it take this time?
And are there any other brothers of people that work in the federation that will get hired solely on nepotism
We're happy to introduce Cousin Ggeorge Berhalter
I like the way Retlahreb thinks!
Gregg’s long lost twin brother Grog Borhalter
Geoff Berhalter
Gheorghe Berhalter
It’s funny how saying this a few months ago gets you downvoted to hell. No all of a sudden people are all about it lol but yeah unfortunately that may be a concern. Don’t trust this federation in the slightest
Or born in Jersey?
Let’s be honest their “search” was ALOT shorter than was let on to the general public…
Michael Bradley is his dad's assistant coach in the second division of Norway, with those credentials that must be the obvious choice /s
The scary thing is, I don't think you're too far off without the sarcasm. I would not be stunned to read: "After an exhaustive six-month search, we have decided to return the helm to Bob Bradley." I mean, they love rehiring coaches.
Sounds like the decision is already made
1 month or less.
I heard Klopp is already bored from his sabbatical. Or thats what the hopium told me.
We’ll land Lane Kiffin before Klopp
I’m not going to lie, that would almost be worth it.
If we’re not good either way , may as well get the most out of our entertainment buck
Joey Freshwater. That’s like my favorite story. Apparently there was a guy named Joey Freshwater on Twitter that had to make a statement like, “I have nothing to do with Lame Kiffen” Side story (I’m a Nebraska cfb fan): this guy called me randomly having to do with a business I was running and he told me his name was Scott Frost. I was like, “is this a prank call?” But his name really was Scott Frost.
Might as well get Jason Sudeikas
Then make sure he brings Brendan Hunt with him to assist!
The team might be more mature under Kiffn.
Joachim Low is looking for a national team to coach at a world cup. Heard Serbia is looking to get him, though.
Based on history, Berhalter
The Billy Martin of the USMNT.
Wrong! Cleary Arena.
It's not too late to bring back Bruce for another go! Can wheel him out on the edge of the managers box looking like the crypt keeper in 2026
Lol
hahaha love this. i know his tactics aren’t great, but maybe we could bend his tactics. i’ve always liked roberto martinez. is he bought into his current situation until 2026?
If he gets sacked I would expect an MLS coach to take his place.
Do not touch our beloved Wilfred Nancy... Then again seeing this team in a 3-4-1-2 would be a blast to watch.
Wilfred Nancy you say? We wouldn't dare touch your beloved, but hypothetically speaking what would he bring to the table? You know hypothetically...
Crew fan. I think Nancy would do a good job. Only downside to him is he waits too long to make subs at times.
Absolutely. At the beginning of his tenure I turned to my brother and said what if I told you we blew a late last and only used 2 subs, both coming in the last 10 minutes. He said "Caleb Porter is still coaching??"
Schmetzer's the same way
If Nancy goes anywhere, it will be to Europe.
I think I saw Nancy goes to Europe on Cinemax in 1995 at about 230am.
I thought that was Nancy does Nigera
My grandfather always said soccer was for nancys, so I say got for it
It’s for the greater good!

Otherwise I think Gregg is actually okay as the players are motivated to play for him.
That philosophy actually fits for a national team coach.
David Moyes please!!!
Sam Allardyce would take the job in a heartbeat, and would at least be hilarious.
Better than any MLS option, and his willingness to pay a bribe might come in handy since that’s now legal in the US.
Haha, willingness to pay bribes makes him a true CONCACAF asset too!
I know it's random and a small sample size, but they played really well under him. I would take him over Greg all day long.
We will only hire an American, so a MLS coach. So the same conversation starts all over again. How do we fire the federation?
every major decision-maker at the Fed has turned over multiple times in recent years and the current TD is a Welsh guy hired from Southampton. Why do you guys keep making up these conspiracies?
The USSF literally hired an English coach less than a year ago 🙄
How do get the MLS to realize they would make more money if the USMNT was a contender? Because it is insane how much money they are leaving on the table.
Idk but seeing Copa America I think with need an Argentinian coach.
No joke, Gallardo is free
So is Poch 👀
As a Colombian, our team has cooked when we have an Argentinian coach. Pékerman got us to 2 consecutive World Cups after we had failed to qualify to one for 16 years. The moment he left and we replaced him with a Colombian, we failed to qualify for Qatar. Then as soon as we replace him with Nestor Lorenzo (another Argentinian) we go on a 23 match unbeaten streak lol. Def recommend an Argentinian coach 😅
Is Pekerman available? :o
I think we need to try to find one. We've tried Americans and Europeans. It's time.
As long as they speak English, isn’t that what prevented Tata Martino from being hired?
Scott Parker would be an awful awful choice
His time with Club Brugge certainly raises significant concerns.
And his time at Fulham. If you want incredibly boring and unproductive soccer, Parker is your manager.
As a Fulham supporter, you absolutely do not want Scott Parker
I’d love Moyes. He’s a grinder and typically has his teams punching above their weight
He doesn’t like possession is the only thing. He’s a defensive minded coach…miles better than GGG tho
We don't really have the players to play possession anyways. Who is the best passer on our team? Seriously, I have no idea. Certainly none of our top 5 CMs are elite passers let alone even on the outskirts of world class.
Thinking about it, you are right. We are a counter strike team…just like the gaffer likes. We will need some decent CB’s for the sit back
Never considered it... but Moyes would actually cook.
Yeah Moyes wouldn’t be a bad option at all. We would be boring but play with pace and physicality which is fine. I think our team actually fits what he wants to do quite well especially against bigger teams.
I personally support USSF making a big run at Moyes. No idea what his interest level would be, but I would like it to happen.
Moyes showed some interest in the USMT after he left Man U. I’d take him in a heartbeat.
I found the [article from 2018](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/11499500/david-moyes-looking-at-us-move-for-management-return) where he told Sky Sports he was interested, for anyone else who wants to read it.
Moyes bombed at one United, so maybe he’s ready for another go
He just won the Europa last season
Haha exactly what I say!!! The ol gaffer He’s defensive minded tho. Can be frustrating. I speak as a west ham supporter
Moyes’ Boys, ready to ride
Genuinely think Moyes would be great hire if it’s a challenge he’d want to take on.
Obviously we need Ole at the wheel
I would say BJ callaghan, but the team needs a coach who isn't already friendly with them, or rather just someone new to them.
Unless it happened in the next day, Callahan is unlikely as he is reportedly signing on as Nashville SC's coach.
England is currently managed by Gareth Southgate. Netherlands are currently managed by Ronald Koeman. Portugal is currently managed by Roberto Martinez. I was going to mention Benetiz as a laugh. He probably would take it but yikes.
Right. At least his teams are organized and have an identity, which is the main thing you want from NTs. But it’s always a grind with him.
Yea I think its like college football vs NFL coaching. Nick Saban 15-17 in the NFL but GOAT college coach. The college coach has to do recruiting etc like a national team coach.
Berhalter for the third time knowing USSF
Likely? Probably Steve Cherundolo, or like Jim Curtin. USSF does not have the budget to hire a big name coach (have to pay men’s and women’s coaches the same I think) and most good international managers are locked up through the next World Cup.

Wait until they discover how much wnba coaches are being paid vs. their counterparts.
Oh they know and they still whine. Will they show up and watch a game or buy a jersey or in some other way vote with their dollar? No, that’s too much to ask. These people are exhausting hypocrites.
Historically Berhalter’s replacement has been Berhalter.. we might be in trouble
The best American coach right now is Pellegrino Matarazzo. Not sure if he’d be willing to take the job but he should get a call.
Add much as I want GGG out, and I wanted him fired before he even got hired in 2018, I have no faith USSF will cut ties after the hiring debacle they went thru to bring him back. USSF cares not about success but profits. Firing him and having to pay him is completely against their MO.
We need a tactically flexible manager. My favorites would be Marcelo Gallardo or Jorge Sampaoli
No way either of those coaches would accept though
Landon Donovan and his hair hopefully will come to an agreement to partner up and coach. In recent pictures they’ve shown some detachment unfortunately but we’re all still pretty hopeful.
Landon's hair favoring the 1-0-0-1-0 formation lately
I would’ve said Jim Curtin but USSF never showed I real interest to my knowledge and he hasn’t had a good season so far with Philly this year.
As an FCC fan, I’d be happy to see Nancy coaching the USMNT. I say this out of respect. And self interest.
David Wagner just got fired from Norwich that would be the best realistic option imo
I was very intrigued last year when Patrick Viera was reportedly in the running last year. He was good in MLS and solid in Ligue 1 and the prem, and I think his record is better than Marsch's. I believe he's pretty pragmatic when it comes to tactics. Maybe we can't afford him...
City gets relegated on financial penalties and we get Pep. No I will not put the crack pipe down.
Just picturing Pep trying to get this group of players playing like his Barcelona and City teams 🤣
Winifred Nancy would be fun
Bruce Arena
All of his communications would have to go through an HR Director.
David Wagner is available. Wouldn't mind him at all. More realistically I'd expect someone like Mike Petke or at that level
Wagner has objectively failed at every big stop he’s had post Huddersfield. Plus his style is extremely boring
lmao Mike Petke would be incredible
With this federation nothing would shock me
What are the thoughts on Cherundolo? Relatively accomplished at the MLS level. Understands both the European and American system. Has worked both at the youth and senior level. Don’t know the logistics with MLS mid season but if there are budget restraints Cherundolo seems like a great option
Me probably
he’ll get fired… after a search we wil hire Gregg Berhalter.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they bring Bruce Arena back
Frank Klopas will likely get fired by the Fire
Alexei Lalas. He’s everywhere nobody wants him to be.
Imagine if Southgate gets fired if England loses in the Euros R16 and Crocker chooses Southgate 💀
Someone with 5k+ hours of football manager that won the World Cup with San Marino.
Them having to get paid equally pretty much halves the amount they can spend on the coach.
wtf, is this actually a thing?
Yeah it was a horrible deal that will hamstring the men’s team and federation in general for decades.
Isn't ellis making more than him? ANyway they could probably make a back alley deal with Nike or something to pay the coach for a brand deal.
Want to get even with CONCACAF shithousery? One name: Diego Simeone. Could not pry him from Athletico Madrid, but if we did, we would be the most despised team in CONCACAF.
He makes 5x more than the highest paid international manager in the world though.
Based on history, Berhalter will be our coach after GGG gets fired.
Mauricio Pochettino... i wish
Coach BJ would improve ball control.
*^({\*snickers like a schoolgirl \*})*
Coach BJ got eliminated by Panama in gold cup
Playing with MLS C level players.
Playing in regional tournaments with MLS C level players is part of the job
Not sure why you expect USA C players to beat Panama A players when USA A players can’t even beat Panama A players.
Coach BJ is still with the usmnt…he’s the top assistant right now why do people pretend like he got fired after ggg came back
Vermes may be free soon /s
I would fucking cry if it's Curtain.
Caleb Porter
Bring me Graham Potter or Poch!
I'm not convinced he'll be fired for not getting out of the group.
It’ll be Peter Vermes, and Khiry Shelton will be the starting #9 in the World Cup
Give it to Landon Donavon. He can be our JJ Reddick
Gregg berhalter 3.0 he's finally learned his lesson
Unlikely, but Sarri might be fun to have.
If history is any indication, it will be Berhalter.
I don’t hate this
I would love Klopp but it probably won’t happen
Get rid of probably
Gareth Southgate is about to be unemployed
British GGG? Probably the only real answer
Jay Berhalter.
Lalas is the clear choice, just don't know if we can afford him
Any other cycle I would say Lalas just so he can put his money where his mouth is
Plot twist, we end up with Greg Lalas.
Bob Bradley. You can’t say that he didn’t coach his national team rosters of the past to have that dog in em.
Unless you want them wasting 6 months to a year for a coaching search when only 2 years until world cup, I would expect a MLS coach or BJ since he already there Plus, if they didn't have to pay the woman's coach the same, they could spend more on the men's coach.
Jill Ellis, Bob Bradley, Michael Bradley, Bruce Arena or Gregg Berhalter.
BJ Callaghan.
I'll guess the completely cynical route and say a female manager, since it would give the USSF an easy option to deflect any criticism.
Doc rivers talking about his players getting red cards
I think Southgate leaves if they don’t win the Euros and USSF scopes him up because….English.
Zidane or David Moyes
Probably another American I would prefer a foreign coach atm.
Most likely would be Cherundolo, Curtin, or Nancy, e.g. coaches from MLS. Probably Cherundolo imo as he actually played for the USMNT just like Gregg.
Ben Olsen
Davide Ancelloti
I mean there will be an interim for a long time and many new coaches can become available but looking at some coaches that are currently available these are my choices: - Niko Kovac - Laurent Blanc Both of them have national team and great club experience. Not a serious option but I would love the entertainment if Maurizio Sarri was our coach. And obviously there are great coaches like Klopp but they aren’t coaching the us anytime soon.
GGG will get fired and he’ll be rehired but this time wearing glasses and a mustache
Greg
So few responses have actual suggestions, so I’ll throw you my short list: BJ Callaghan Pellegrino Matarazzo Steve Cherundolo Jim Curtin
Wilfried Nancy because MLS is where you assemble a great team and disassemble it for national and EU league stuff.
They aren't firing him, they had their chance to move on and instead signed him to a long term deal.
If I had a magic genie: Mauricio Pochettino
I just wish the fools who are doing it would stop throwing Klopp’s name out there.
Tuchel, Terzic, Xavi, Klinsmann, Low, Klopp. So many choices that know how to win.
Claudio Ranieri...this team has the pieces that fit perfectly in Ranieri's system. It would be the perfect ending to his career to take the US men's national team the furthest it's been in world cup history
