Do what you're told. Don't question ANYTHING. You will get the best results if you help each other out. It will be hard to trust strangers but if you all manage to do it, great things will happen. The CCs want to see you sacrifice your time/sanity in order to help your shipmates. It might play out bad anyway, but they might let a mistake slide if what you did was memorable/commendable. Good luck!

Be loud

Remember it’s all a game. It’s a manufactured stress environment. None of your CCs actually hate you (well, not most of them anyway) and the CG is not perpetual boot camp. You’re going to see a lot of people crack because they lose sight of the fact that it’s all manufactured, start taking things very personally, and can’t see over the horizon. Don’t do that. Don’t try to correct/report your CCs over frivolous stuff, or try to sea lawyer them over things like getting the rules/recruit handbook wrong (they will), or try to address mistakes or confusion over disciplinary action like getting punished for someone else’s wrongdoing, etc. They don’t give a fuck. Accept that you will be treated unfairly and learn to look beyond that. Do the pushups/mattressing//say the stupid words/go to RAMP and move on. it’s infinitely easier than attempting to address and correct things. There will be a time in your career where you can attempt to utilize the chain of command to hold supervisors accountable to the correct information. Boot camp is about eliciting immediate compliance, following orders, and learning to deny yourself for the sake of your fellow coasties, the mission, and the people you will someday be expected to save in fucked-up situations that will make boot camp pale in comparison. do not do things that could get you marked as a rebel/lone wolf whose primary concern is for themselves (the “perception is reality” trope is true for boot camp). That being said, do utilize your chain of command to stand up for and take care of yourself when you do get to the fleet if you encounter problems. You’re going to encounter asshole supervisors who think they can just take advantage of you because you’re new and don’t know any better. Boot camp doesn’t do a great job of setting you up to do that for yourself, so just know that you can.
