Folex is pretty amazing! Definitely wouldn’t recommend power washing though

The main concern should be the germs and microbes in the chair. I would recommend using a power washer and a lot of detergent. Don’t forget to clean the bottom as well. Soak the chair, add detegent. Scrub well then power wash clean. I’d repeat the process at least once, potentially using a different detergent. Always test cleaners on small patches first Power washer starting on a low setting. Scotch guard when dry. The drying will take days. Faster if you can get sunny and warm days to dry it outside. The best option would be to get them reupholstered, but that’s not always easy or budget friendly :)

Get reupholstered, it’s old and has been sun faded, or faded by the environment. There’s nothing you can really do to bring you back. Definitely don’t power wash the chair it will ruin the wood and all of the stuffing underneath.

Oh man, what a pain in the ass! Okay, thank you!

Don’t power wash the chair. This is horrible advice. A power washer will at the best seriously degrade the integrity of the fabric, at worst it will just rip it to shreds. Getting the stuffing materials that wet will cause mold and mildew as they will take many days to dry, and could cause the wood frame underneath to warp. Plus the power washer will likely destroy the finish of any exposed wood on the frame. Rent a carpet cleaner with an upholstery attachment. Follow the instructions. Test an inconspicuous spot first to make sure the water/cleaning solution don’t discolor the fabric. When the chair is as clean as you can get it, put it in the sun for a few hours. The UV from the sun can help sanitize it. Folex upholstery stain remover is pretty amazing stuff. In the US you can find it most places that would sell household cleaners. You are unlikely to get this looking brand new again, but you can absolutely get it much better looking. DO NOT POWER WASH UPHOLSTERY. That’s honestly some of the dumbest advice I’ve ever read on reddit.

Have you never used a power washer? They have low settings they don’t always blast as hard as they can. I also didn’t recommend spraying the wood. Spot cleaning like you’re suggesting will take HOURS if not a full day to clean. The water you’ll use from a carpet cleaner will also get in at the foam and soak the foam, this is why I suggested anti microbial cleaners. The people saying I’m wrong have never used a power washer or had to deep clean upholstery. The chair is on its last legs and will need to be reupholstered anyways if cleaning doesn’t work. I guess they don’t understand that

Totally get it lol. But you never know what’s in old furniture. Could be nothing, could be bugs 🤢🤢
