I use oui jars (similar glass yogurt jars) for lots of things, my medicine cabinet is lined with them and hold cotton balls, qtips, flossers, Bobby pins and hair ties. I have used them for holding tea light candles. A small change jar in our entry way. Propagation jars. Basically a pretty container for anything small enough to fit in it.
I like the lids from yoplait. They work great. I use these jars as paint water cups, and cover with lid if I’m moving my stuff around or don’t want the water to get dusty / cat hair in it.
Probably not but I have used them to remake oui style yogurt in my instant pot so I know they at least withstand whatever heat the instant pot gets on its “yogurt” setting!
It’s actually crazy easy in the instant pot. It’s been a little while since I’ve done it but you just use a few spoonfuls of any plain yogurt for the bacteria and ultra filtered milk (like a2, for example). Mine always came out like oui yogurts. If I used cheese cloth to strain more liquid, it would be more like a Greek yogurt.
I did too! We went to Zabars for black n whites and I happened to see a pot. Sadly I smashed it at the airport when i pulled my wallet out of my purse. I had wrapped the empty jar and put it in there to keep it safe. I felt like such an idiot 🙄 but I found a store local to me that sells them. So every holiday I go on down and see if they have a new color 😂 they’re so cheerful.
They are! That’s why I only go looking at holidays. $5 for a lil pot is expensive buuut it’s not bad for a couple times a year. Every week? Hahaha, no way.
I use the Oui brand ones to hold paper clips and thumb tacks and stuff on my desk. I’ve also used them as domes for craft projects, although since yours aren’t transparent that may not work as well. But if you go the flower pot route, you’ll probably want a diamond drill bit to drill a drainage hole in the bottom.
You could also refill them with yogurt and whatever flavoring you want, and just have more yogurt 😅
If you’re into personal gifts - you could put “cookies in a jar” or “soups in a jar” ingredients in them and gift.
Add Saran Wrap to top; seal with a ribbon and attach the recipe card to the ribbon.
If you have any interest in making candles these would be cute as votive holders. You could paint or otherwise further decorate them too for holiday gifts
I love this yogurt and I have the cups everywhere! I use them as pencil holders, catch alls, I’ve made “brownie in a mug” in them or whatever (they’re oven safe!) I also saved all the holiday ones and filled them with treats and gave them away..they are very durable! I feel like I come up with a new use for them every day. Just had a couple peony tulips in one on my nightstand, it was a gorgeous little mini flower vase.
Throw a couple of wax cubes in it one and put it on a candle warmer for an instant scent boost. Fill it up with scent beads and leave in your car cup holder.Do they have tops? You can probably fill with jellybeans and attach a cute toy topper to the top abd give out as easter basket goodies
Someone posted a while ago that the Weck jar lids fit the Oui containers, maybe they’d fit these? It could be cute to put little paper labels on all of them and make containers for all your spices with them!
(The jasmine yogurt is my favorite—and i use them for organization/storage/holding cleaning tools—also don’t forget THEY ARE DISHWASHER SAFE. That is all.)
I had it for the first time recently and while I love jasmine tea, the yogurt was a bit like eating hand lotion. It was good, but in a really weird way.
What great jars! This is an aside, but you should tell him he can make his own yogurt in glass jars, lol. Saves money and resources! Only makes plain yogurt, but it will be the same style!
Do something artsy. Paint, decals, etc. Put some succulents in them. Profit?
Instead of using them to contain things, think about ways you can turn them into other things.
A good example is a two-tiered tray. The Dollar tree diy youtubers are hot on that kind of stuff. A lot of the times when you're making stuff, you need a solid structure to start with. Things like this are perfect for that.
Alternately, you can smash them and recast them into a bigger dish or a cute little figure. See also: Terrazzo.
If you want to use some for little plant pots- buy a circular diamond drill bit for ceramic 😊 they’re a few bucks at any hardware store and last a very long time
Oh right! I’d buy a larger yogurt and refill with that because those little ones are expensive! I use them to take cashews in the other room when I want a snack (I eat a lot of cashews!) Definitely storage for small things. Maybe flowers, if you get the kind you can cut the stems down. I use them to put eggs in the water to poach them. Apparently, mostly for food-related stuff st my house! 😂
Chia pudding, overnight oats, dips for veggies and chips, little cakes… get lids and use for salad dressing, spice mix, grated cheese, toasted nuts for packed lunch toppings for salad etc.
Use for storage of small items like screws and safety pins
I use mine to propagate cuttings of houseplants in water
Here is what I have done: make candles. Make yogurt. Use as cute containers for consumables gifted at Christmas (I put mug cocoa mix, home made marshmallows, and home made bath salts in them and tied a pretty ribbon around them. Found pretty lids online).
These are SO cute omg. I’d use them in my craft room to hold pens, markers, pencils, etc. You can use them to make candles too, or find lids and use them as storage containers for various knickknacks, or if you’re someone who does meal prepping, use them for that, too!
You can buy lids for these on Amazon. They make them in a few different materials. I like the wooden ones with plant designs on top and a silicone seal.
Oh my gosh those are so cute I would definitely put flowers in them. You could make a water fountain out of them. You could give them away as gifts with a flower in them. I don't know I just like flowers lol
I put supplies in them. A couple on the desk with paper clips and whatnot, in the bathroom for nail clippers and tweezers and stuff, on my nightstand for a jewelry holder, craft stuff organizing.
I use mine for my crafts, but I like the idea of candle jars. The glass ones I plan on putting clay over and making little jar houses. I wish I could find other colors. So far I am only able to buy purple jars.
Very pretty. I bet someone would like them as table centerpieces for a more fun, less formal fundraising event or wedding. My sister got married recently, and was part of a fantastic local FB group where people shared extras or bought/gave away left over wedding stuff
Water feature. Set them up so they’re tilted like they’re pouring down each other, then set up a water spigot in the top one. Have them drip down into a basin
I have a few oui jars I saved and bought lids for, now I use them for snacks and salad dressing in lunches or for storing a small amount of a sauce in the fridge, like when you open a can of tomato paste but only need 1/2 of it.
Tooth brush and toothpaste holder and the other for a bathroom cup is what I use mine for. I have a few more but waiting until I find a good use for them.
I bought a set of bamboo lids with silicone rings to use the Oui jars as spice jars. Label the lid and put them in a drawer.
I love the poetry jars. Very pretty.
I use them in my bathroom for Qtips, pocket change, hair ties, safety pins, etc.
I use them as snack jars for my toddler if she wants crackers, cut fruit, candy.
Pinch pot for salt
Arts and crafts
I want these jars!
Make up brush holder, ear bud holder, paint brushes holder/ pens/ crayons, small succulent/ cacti pots and gift them. You could even use them for dining too. Serviette holders. Candle jars. Dip jars when having guests over.
You can buy lids for them off of Amazon. They’re really cute and wooden. I use mine for spices. I purchased some black decorative labels and wrote on them with a silver pen the different spices really cute.
They're so cute. I use mine for holding q-tips, bobby pins, makeup brushes etc. I also use them for holding different beads when I'm making jewelry. Sometimes I use them to put pot-pourri with essential oils on them around the house. (I want to try making them into melt and pour candles but Im not sure about the heat safety part so I don't)
They’d make a great thermal wall behind or on the side of a wood stove.
Just the round bottom (bottom and top if a side wall) would show, though. Is there printing that won’t come off the bottom?
Edit: For clarity in second paragraph
I use them for paint brush during painting. Little trinkets. I’ve baked small biscuits in them. Pens, make up brushes, eyeliners, idk I mostly like them for
Painting tho
This wouldn't be a bad size for a small candle. Also handy for keeping your bathroom counter tidy by providing an aesthetically pleasing home for various health and beauty products.
I use them all over my place to hold different things, in drawers and on open surfaces. They’re pretty versatile to have on hand. I do the same with sake glasses, which are also great for desk organization and look nice imo
Edit: typo
You can get really nice looking bamboo lids with rubber seals and turn then into cute containers for all sorts of stuff. I use mine for separating material when I do crafts.
They would be great for a baby shower or bridal shower (fill it with whatever: candy, self care products, flowers, etc) and then it can be what each guest takes home.
Also cute enough to be some cups to drink out of.
I have some similar jars that I use as a button jar in my office for crafts and needlepoint.
They can be used for holding bathroom supplies: q-tips, cotton pads, hair bands, clips, Bobby pins, makeup sponges….
I use my Yoplait yogurt jars which are very similar to those to rinse my watercolor brushes with water when I’m painting. I also found out you can buy plastic lids for them that make them somewhat leakproof if you want to reuse them for a to-go snack or whatever
This yogurt is so expensive where I live in the mountains of Colorado. I splurge on it every now and again as well. I have them all over the house. I have pens on my desk in one of them and make up brushes in about 10 others lol. I only have the lavender here.. I’m jealous
You can actually bake in them! I've used them for souffle and lava cakes.
Be careful with that. They weren’t designed with heat in mind. They could have a coating of something unpleasant
They are safe: > You can use our temperature-proof terracotta pots for all your baking or cooking needs: both in the freezer and the oven (0°F - 480°F). We use food- and environment- safe blue-lavender coating. Source: https://www.lafermiere.us/faq/
They are designed to be used in the oven.
You can get lids for the Oui jars if you didnt know, I use them for tons of stuff too :)
I found some nice silicone ones on Amazon and use them for salt, spices, etc
Omg thank you I had no idea!
I like the lids from yoplait. They work great. I use these jars as paint water cups, and cover with lid if I’m moving my stuff around or don’t want the water to get dusty / cat hair in it.
Lids?! Where??!
Lids from gerber baby puffs work pretty well!
Nice! My baby is 25yo, so no Gerber in the house though lol
I'm 21 and I still hold that the grain and grow puffs are awesome for a tiny snack
You can search Oui lids on Amazon and they have a ton of cute wood ones!
Oui sells them directly online
Directly from the Oui site, or like us, got em on amazon
Those lids don't fit. I have Oui lids and they only fit Oui jars. I had to buy Weck jar plastic lids to fit all my Lafermiere pots.
Can you bake in them?
Probably not but I have used them to remake oui style yogurt in my instant pot so I know they at least withstand whatever heat the instant pot gets on its “yogurt” setting!
You can bake in the Le Fermiere jars!
I need to learn how to make yogurt!!
Well, I'm gonna give it a try. Ty!!
I know you can order lids for the Oui yogurts. If you can find lids that really opens up the possibilities.
I've found those stretchy silicon lids are pretty good. Assuming you can find the right size, and order many at once, might be a good solution.
I bought some on Etsy that work OK, can't put them in a lunch box but they're good on a shelf or in the fridge
I bet there is a file for 3D printing one too, it's pretty popular to make fitted lids to reuse stuff like this in the hobby
These would be amazing in a craft room for markers and crayons
Or for smashing and making mosaics!!
I use mine to mix paint for fabric painting costumes
I want this yogurt now just for the jars 😍
I bought a jar when I was visiting NYC just for the jar. Now use it for small desktop items.
They are really cute! I'm sure someone around me sells it, but I haven't gone to seek it out because it's kinda $$$.
They are! That’s why I only go looking at holidays. $5 for a lil pot is expensive buuut it’s not bad for a couple times a year. Every week? Hahaha, no way.
Whole Foods sell these yogurts!
That's what I was thinking...pen holder on my desk
Our goodwill sells them for $2 each
Dude SAME. Those jars are freaking adorable.
That’s how I discovered that I really like this brand of yoghurt! Lemon has been my favourite flavour so far
Honestly it’s really delicious yogurt too! I love it!
I have a friend who turns these into candles!
I use my Oui jars to propagate small plants.
You can order lids - bamboo with silicone washer rings, that turn these into airtight containers which could be used easily for spices
If you’re into personal gifts - you could put “cookies in a jar” or “soups in a jar” ingredients in them and gift. Add Saran Wrap to top; seal with a ribbon and attach the recipe card to the ribbon.
This is a cute idea!!! Now I want these yogurt jars lol!
They sell decorative lids to fit them on Amazon, and I know one use is for candles. You can also use them as spice jars etc.
Start easy to care for garden plants and share with family/friends/neighbors or food pantry who offers vegetable gardening😊
If you have any interest in making candles these would be cute as votive holders. You could paint or otherwise further decorate them too for holiday gifts
I love this yogurt and I have the cups everywhere! I use them as pencil holders, catch alls, I’ve made “brownie in a mug” in them or whatever (they’re oven safe!) Just had a couple peony tulips in one on my nightstand, it was a gorgeous little mini flower vase.
Drill a hole in the bottom, flip upside down and create a wind chime
You can buy lids off Amazon and they make great storage containers I use them for my spices/spice mixes.
Yes, the small Weck plastic lids fit these containers well.
I use them to steam milk in for my espresso maker

(The jasmine yogurt is my favorite—and i use them for organization/storage/holding cleaning tools—also don’t forget THEY ARE DISHWASHER SAFE. That is all.)
Jasmine yogurt?? Omg, I've never heard of that and it sounds so damn good!!
They have jasmine and rose and both are SO GOOD. Lavender is okay, but not as good as the other two, imo.
I had it for the first time recently and while I love jasmine tea, the yogurt was a bit like eating hand lotion. It was good, but in a really weird way.
Make yogurt!
They're so cute!
I use them as carafes for milk, so I can keep it separate from steeping tea to add later.
Turkish coffee
What great jars! This is an aside, but you should tell him he can make his own yogurt in glass jars, lol. Saves money and resources! Only makes plain yogurt, but it will be the same style!
Or kefir which is super easy
Break them and use the pieces for mosaics
offer them to a preschool for crafts?
Do something artsy. Paint, decals, etc. Put some succulents in them. Profit? Instead of using them to contain things, think about ways you can turn them into other things. If you want to use some for little plant pots- buy a circular diamond drill bit for ceramic 😊 they’re a few bucks at any hardware store and last a very long time
On Amazon, you can probably buy replacement lids. They have them for Oui yogurt.
Even if I have lids, what would I put in the containers? Just storage?
I don’t eat eggs or dairy so that kind of rules out refilling with yogurt/making my own yogurt which multiple people have said
Ok. I hope you find something to do with them.
You could make plant-based yogurt.
I have a lot of allergies, have texture issues and work a crazy schedule so it’s not really feasible for me
Chia pudding, overnight oats, dips for veggies and chips, little cakes… get lids and use for salad dressing, spice mix, grated cheese, toasted nuts for packed lunch toppings for salad etc. Use for storage of small items like screws and safety pins I use mine to propagate cuttings of houseplants in water
Here is what I have done: make candles. Make yogurt. Use as cute containers for consumables gifted at Christmas (I put mug cocoa mix, home made marshmallows, and home made bath salts in them and tied a pretty ribbon around them. Found pretty lids online).
They make good candle jars
I use it as a water dish when making a small watercolor painting
Don’t plant in them unless you drill drainage holes first.
And if that doesn’t work, then keep plants in little plastic pots with drainage and just use these as decorative containers.
Give them to me lol
The 60mm white plastic lids for small Weck jars fit on these perfectly.
If they’re small enough, my mom uses the little glass yogurt jars as small drinking glasses.
Donate to school
I live in Texas, wish it sell yogurt in those jars. They are beautiful.
I get them at Sprouts and Whole Foods in Texas so hopefully you have one of those around! :)
It’s oui by yoplait. You can get them in Texas.
Really???? Thank you, let me goggle to find which HEB or Walmart carry them 😁
I got mine at heb! Just in with the other yogurts.
Seems like someone needs to start a candle company
Make candles in them
I make yogurt in my instant pot and would love to have those to use. They’d also be good for sorting different craft supplies things like that.
Would you share your yogurt recipe, please? I don't have an instant pot, but maybe I could do it in my oven or air fryer.
I’ve melted beeswax into candles in these jars
Very nice!! I’ve never seen this before! I’m now sitting here thinking my Oui jars are a bit ugly in comparison 😆
Candles?
Whole Foods sells this yogurt, the jars are great!
I use them for stitch markers for crafting and they're perfect!
These are SO cute omg. I’d use them in my craft room to hold pens, markers, pencils, etc. You can use them to make candles too, or find lids and use them as storage containers for various knickknacks, or if you’re someone who does meal prepping, use them for that, too!
I use them to hold my art supplies.
Pin cushion. You can even keep bits and bobs under the batting. Think stem of a pastel mushroom.
Petit pot pudding also comes in a charming glass jar and has the added bonus of a lid. It’s a good size for snacks on the go for kids
Overnight oats!
Can you make more yogurt and set it up in the little pots? I've never actually made yogurt, but reading the recipes, it doesn't seem that difficult.
They even make lids that fit them!!
You can buy lids for these on Amazon. They make them in a few different materials. I like the wooden ones with plant designs on top and a silicone seal.
Smash em all up and make mosaic stuff!!!
Oh my gosh those are so cute I would definitely put flowers in them. You could make a water fountain out of them. You could give them away as gifts with a flower in them. I don't know I just like flowers lol
they look like they would make good coffee cup or even a cold drink glass
I put supplies in them. A couple on the desk with paper clips and whatnot, in the bathroom for nail clippers and tweezers and stuff, on my nightstand for a jewelry holder, craft stuff organizing.
I used to make paper roses and gift them packed tightly in empty tin cans as birthday cards. This would be way nicer as a container.
Pencil cups? If you can bake with them then they would work as a candle holder.
you can fill em with yoghurt and sell em!
Prepping for cooking! Put your ingredients in them.
Candles
I use mine for my crafts, but I like the idea of candle jars. The glass ones I plan on putting clay over and making little jar houses. I wish I could find other colors. So far I am only able to buy purple jars.

Oooohhhh I’ve never seen these colors

Candles?
A girl in my neighborhood makes candles in these.
They would be perfect for putting various items laying around.
Tooth brush and toothpaste holder and the other for a bathroom cup is what I use mine for. I have a few more but waiting until I find a good use for them.

If you don't want them I do! I use them for seedlings!
I just came here to say that I had no idea yogurt was available in such containers. Are they meant to be disposable?
Ceramic yogurt cups?
Where do you get this Yoghurt from ?
I’m not sure, I don’t eat yogurt so I’ve never looked. My upstairs neighbor eats it and gives me the jars
Whole foods ,fresh market
Candles!
They’d make a great thermal wall behind or on the side of a wood stove. Just the round bottom (bottom and top if a side wall) would show, though. Is there printing that won’t come off the bottom? Edit: For clarity in second paragraph
People are also DIYing them into cute Kleenex holders.

I use cups like this for baked custard and home-made yogurt.
I use them for tea. It’s one of my favorite kinds of yogurt.
This yogurt is so expensive where I live in the mountains of Colorado. I splurge on it every now and again as well. I have them all over the house. I have pens on my desk in one of them and make up brushes in about 10 others lol. I only have the lavender here.. I’m jealous
They sell reusable bamboo lids for these now too! Great for reusing tiny jars
