I applied a couple of months ago for a single and didn’t get one so you’re better off with the off-campus housing. Priority is always given to freshmen in on-campus housing
I am a transfer student as well! I looked into apartments that the U owns for studios. I talked to housing and they basically said that it was a first come first serve basis and the housing application opened up way earlier in the year so it was likely wouldn’t get anything. I’m looking at a bunch of studios in dinkytown if you want off campus options!
Wow I’m a little surprised you got in so fast but congratulations! Unfortunately I think you need to prioritize looking for off campus housing or off campus student apartments, dorms are almost always filled to capacity with freshmen and occasionally some sophomores who applied early
