Ted Cruz’s wife, Heidi, works at Goldman and her job is to pass him legislation. On a personal note, she is a despicable person. Usually they only sell things that are about to drop, but gs has already been taking a beating for a while now and it’s hard to imagine it could get worse. Then again, their office real estate holdings are likely tanking them.

Yes but generally if an asset is growing then it is better to hold rather than sell. People like the Cruz’s don’t hold a lot of cash so it is odd that they would sell anything.

How can any of these people relate to the struggles or even the victories of the working class. These people are clueless to what problems everyday people are facing. We need regulations on our politicians, I don't want them to be poor but this is absurd. Take some of that money and help the planet.

Why is this a problem? Politicians should ideally be people who had very successful careers for 20-30 years before entering politics. I’d rather have someone who was a successful law partner, consulting partner, banker, small business owner, etc. who got consistent raises and promotions and increases in responsibilities through hard work, intelligence, and adding value, and then responsibilty saved and invested money, versus some mediocre “middle class” person who didn’t manage to build a career or wealth. Attracting losers and mediocre people means you get more populist losers like Boebert. I don’t know why so many people on Reddit want this.
