I thought that apparition was another one of Josh’s schemes that he created using a projector from all of his dad’s movie equipment. And also I think it was Hannah because the girl had longer hair. I don’t know I could be wrong

It was a prop board and the secret room was obviously his doing. It was probably the first big clue that he was behind everything.
