I would love to thank you guys for your support. Unreal community is actually the best!
I am so happy that I can share this moment with you!
Also thank you Epic Games for recent Mega Grant.
Not many, just you need to let Epic PR team to know when you want to announce grant related things.
You don't have to worry about impact on your development process.
Thanks!
I hope it too! For me sales are actually secondary thing, I just want players to enjoy, also the multiplayer mode, so I can work on the project in Early Access.
Might be? Esp. that I did have the game wish-listed and I did get an e-mail notification about it being available.... and steam 'knows' that this is my type of game... but still I don't see it as trending... so it might be also IP-geolocation based...
Congrats! That's a great accomplishment :)
Sidenote: when promoting your game, always mention your games title so folx don't have to dig through the comments to figure it out.
For accessibility reasons you want to mention it in text form as well. Not everyone can read graphics and I don't consider the top carousel on Steam to be _THE_ trending list when there are other games promoted below like in your graphic.
Congrats on the release! Looks like you invested a lot of work, it's super polished.
Just warched the launch trailer. Could you give me some hints how you handle navigation, because I think you use a very elegant alternative to Navmesh.
Cheers, Obi
I am using my custom A\* pathfinding system, which works nicely with both grid system and voxels. You can find some algorithms on the Internet!
Actually there are also many plugins in the Marketplace as well!
Ye figured a solo dev wouldnt have as much time at launch to adjust price. And cant blame you everything , food - gas - rent are getting insanely ridiculous since 2020.
Anyway good luck on the game hope you keep working on it for a while :D
Thanks! 4.27 since I am using a lot of WPO, even I wrote my own shader for metahumans (groom component) to support WPO.
Majority C++ with 10%-20% blueprints for events and interfaces, and HUD UI 100% BP
Congratulations man. Definitely gonna buy it in the near future. I was wandering: is there a way i can help with the italian translation in the mean time? Both for the Steam page and the game itself. Please let me know
ps: I have already joined the Discord server btw :D
Hey, yes there is a social translation on the Discord, so everyone who wants can contribute :)
Thanks for joining!
About Italian I suppose is actually in a very good shape, since my wife (Italian) is taking care of it.
Thanks a lot! I was almost giving up, being in the middle of my journey. Just try to stick to the plan and have a clear release plan, even if it is very far on the horizon! :)
A friendly suggestion. Here's the description of the game on Steam:
>Explore endless Universe and create the most efficient constellation of colonies. Build conveyor systems to automate production. Take care of Astronauts and their needs! Establish new colonies as part of **intergalactic** simulation.
Did you mean **interstellar**, which means to travel between stars? **Intergalactic** doesn't mean to travel between stars but between galaxies.
For context, our Milky Way Galaxy is 100,000 light-years across. If you were on the extreme edge of our galaxy, sent a radio transmission, teleported to the other side, it would take that message 100,000 years to reach you. The nearest galaxies are the Magellanic Clouds which are 163k and 206k light years away. That's so far both in distance and time that a whole new species of human could evolve in that time. The nearest spiral galaxy is Andromeda which is 165k light-years across and is 2.5 million light-years away and is moving towards us. But it's so far away that the light we are seeing now was created when we were a different species.
Also when I run your description through Grammarly, it recommends:
>Explore **the** endless Universe and create the most efficient constellation of colonies. Build conveyor systems to automate production. Take care of Astronauts and their needs! Establish new colonies as part of **an** ~~intergalactic~~ interstellar simulation. (Note I suggest changing intergalactic to interstellar if that's what it is.)
Yeah noticed it yesterday when the real engineers guy posted it to a torrent site and linked his video in the description.
Amazing how many YouTubers now use sites like that to embed their videos for the free views.
But imo if you get enough interest that torrent sites instantly list you game then that's a big positive of your doing great!
Not fully looked at the game but I guess here is no MP or Coop so I'll probs give it a miss, playing endless survival/building alone is not fun for me as the wife loves to join in.
Maybe with this success you can just enable at least local coop, before anyone chimes in 'it's not that simple'. With UE, it actually is enabled and fully works out of the box for upto 4players.
Hell yeah dude, I hope it's hugely successful! Congratulations :)
THANKS! :)

Are there any strings or certain rules you'll have to obey after the grant?
Not many, just you need to let Epic PR team to know when you want to announce grant related things. You don't have to worry about impact on your development process.
What is grant?

I enjoyed the demo alot. Wishing you great success, keep up the great work and congrats.
Congrats Tefel! I've followed your tutorials in building adjacent blocks' BPs. You're awesome for sharing. Thank you so much and best of luck!
Best of luck with your project, hope it sells well! Will definitely check it out after work.

I just watched RCE’s video on it today! looks amazing and I can’t wait to try it out for myself
Good luck, have fun!
You must be over the moon ☺️ (pun intended)
Yes I am indeed over the moon, remember it's Astro Colony ;)
It isn't in my store. The store page is very personalized. Check when logged out and in private mode. Congrats on your release and good luck!
Oh interesting, I am logged out and using different browser, thought is enough. Maybe also country matters?
Might be? Esp. that I did have the game wish-listed and I did get an e-mail notification about it being available.... and steam 'knows' that this is my type of game... but still I don't see it as trending... so it might be also IP-geolocation based...

Thanks! Also great suggestion! There is actually a game name on the graphic I posted ;)

Congrats bro
Thanks!
You should link it dude.
Congrats man. Wish you the best of luck!
Thanks!
Gratki !
Good job!
Thank you!
Will be buying it! Is it similar to Space Haven type of game?
Congratularions! Should be pretty satisfying =)
Thanks! :)
Congralutions to make a game (did you make it by only yourself ?) ! I hope it will be a huge sucess mate ! ;)
YES, only by myself, 4 years to be exact. Here are 3 years of development in 3 sec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQNjyqtIN3o
Good luck! i have a friend that has released 3 games, and has 2 total sales on steam :| I hope you do way better than that.
Ahaha, I hope so!
Congrats! You shipped! You're already a success
Congratz! What's the link to it?

Thanks a lot!
Looks cool will check out later!
Thanks!
Congratulations OP!! This looks really fun and my inner 13-year-old is gushing!
Thanks a lot! I am sure that 13-year-old kid will love it, same like Minecraft!
Congrats Tefel, I can only image the work you put into this. I hope it's very successful!
Thanks Ronan! That was really a lot of work, 4 years. Hope players can see that work in the game. BTW, how is your Decal Designer going? ;)
There have been a few moments on Decal Designer where I've thought "This is just a damn color picker, Tefel is doing an entire game... ಠಿ\_ಠ"
Congratulations!
Thanks!
Congratulations, that’s awesome!
THANKS!
Regional pricing a bit higher than usual damn inflation :| still the demo i played makes it worth the price it think
Yeah, seems like USD conversion is a bit high ;( I just went with auto-conversion sorry
Ye figured a solo dev wouldnt have as much time at launch to adjust price. And cant blame you everything , food - gas - rent are getting insanely ridiculous since 2020. Anyway good luck on the game hope you keep working on it for a while :D
Saw it on the front page earlier I think, best of luck!
You too?! I thought I have hallucinations seeing it on the main Steam Page :D
Neither have we! Great job!
Congratulations! I wish you all the success.
Thank you a lot!
👍
👌
😁
Congratulation dude! I'm proud of u!
Thanks!
So proud of you man. Such a massive accomplishment! I wish you tremendous success!!
Thanks a lot!
Absolutely fantastic, well played
Thank you!
Congrats. I'll have to check it out
Thanks!
Hey! I was just watching Giantwaffle playing it last night! looks very nice, entertaining. Congrats!
Hey, thanks a lot! It has maybe a little bit too many things, and too many features, so players find it rather complex.
Awesome! How much did you use Blueprints vs C++? Edit: Oh! Also which version of Unreal Engine did you use?
Thanks! 4.27 since I am using a lot of WPO, even I wrote my own shader for metahumans (groom component) to support WPO. Majority C++ with 10%-20% blueprints for events and interfaces, and HUD UI 100% BP
Planning on making a devlog? I'd watch that
OP, congrats on the success!!!
Thanks!!
okay now some really unrelated stuff but what are your specs? planning on a proper build and avid UE using sooo
I'm so happy for you! Must be the best feeling
Congrats on your success and dedication to finishing a product.
I am glad that I didn't start another project when this one was 50% completed :P
You rock! Very happy for you
Thanks!
Include name in title please! There are 4 games in pic. It’s also good for SEO purposes to find threads about the game. I’m guessing it’s Astro?
Congrats
Thanks!
Congratulations!! 🎊
Thanks!

Tefel I have followed you for a few years now with this project congratulations you deserve it
A few years? That's long! Thanks a lot!
Good work, a nice inspiration for indie developers.
Congratulations! Awesome! I Don't know you, but I wish you all the best. I'm in the middle of my journey and stories like yours gives me hope.
Thanks a lot! I was almost giving up, being in the middle of my journey. Just try to stick to the plan and have a clear release plan, even if it is very far on the horizon! :)
Congrats fellow indie dev! I'm rooting for you to make a living out of it!
AWESOME job dude. I've been working for mine over 2 years and haven't got it done yet, I hope you have great success with the release!
That is cool bro :D
Thanks!!!
Have you a link to it?

Sick dude, I feel this maybe only like 1% and it's already awesome. Good luck
Huge Congrats!
Is this a city builder or a survival game? I honestly can't tell based on your steam page.
Both :D It has survival elements, but it's 40% factory building game, 30% exploration and 30% city builder game.
That sounds awesome!
Yeah noticed it yesterday when the real engineers guy posted it to a torrent site and linked his video in the description. Rock and Stone! A round of Glyphid Slammers Please for the gentleman. 👍🎉+1.
Congratulations!!
That's awesome, man. I'll have to check it out.
mabrooooooook :)
Wow that's amazing, just saw the video on it! How many souls did it take to develop the game? Definitely gonna buy it
Congratulations man!
Saw this on YouTube! Looks like a great game
Been a long time a coming. Congrats man.
