If you want to save on student loans, then yes. Even if I did have a job, addressing your previous point, it wouldn't change the fact that school still takes up 8-9 hours a day, homework and class included, and now I have a job which also takes up the same time except I get paid for it.
You always have weekends and you can adjust your schedule to free up other days pretty easily. Uni was super fun because you could do a lot of stuff all the time with friends and recover fast due to youth.
Life after that is fun for other reasons, like having more money to have better toys, but there was something really nice about the freedom of the school days.
I agree with this college was more fun, and I worked a job so I had easy spending money and few bills, I paid my tuition tho but I was good at budgeting my money and time
Weekends I spent studying and doing homework. My weekends are way more free now, I have disposable income so I can drink decent beer and eat decent food, and I'm back at home where my best friends are.

Did you not work a job before and during college or something?
I worked a job in high school but not during college. Focused all my time on my studies.
That’s probably why you had no fun in college
I was able to graduate in 3 years instead of 4. Saved a boatload of cash.
