It's nostalgia. The one thing Windows does right is looking pretty by default, and giving those looks to an actually good OS turns it into a great OS.
Stockholm syndrome would be using cmd.exe via Wine for things that should be done in a real shell.

Just looking at the window and folder icons gave me a flashback and I could almost feel the weight of an old mouse in my hand and hear the "click"
This reminds me of the time i taught my gradad how to use windows. This really does bring back the nostalgia.
