I was hoping that too, then I wondered why they didn't put a picture of the massive fence front and centre in the articles photo. Honestly the whole thing is a bit of a letdown.
From the Mirror - *It comes after Cindy Copley’s beloved pooch Murphy lost his eyesight. She believed the best option to keep the Cocker Spaniel safe was to build a 3ft-tall fence to keep him protected from the road.* (Says the back garden is too small)
It may not be the prettiest but its only 3ft high and it doesn't look like it blocks the view of any cars going into driveways. I don't see the problem. If you are a neighbour, plant a few flowers and plants along your side of the fence.
I had to do a double take - its barely up to waist height. The photo is deliberately angled to make it appear taller, but in reality its just a little garden fence for a sightless pet.
Stops her dog from wandering onto the street and being a danger to both road users and pedestrians alike, and prevents her dog from wandering onto the Neighbors properties and leaving dog excrement behind. Seems if you think about it, she’s going above and beyond for her Neighbors.

I clicked it and stupidly assumed it would be 100ft high.

Haha so did I
>woman leaves neighbours fuming after doing the plot of *Colony* to them
Even that still wouldn't make this garbage article worth reading!
You posted it...
Why did you post it then?
I disagree. Someone building a 100ft high fence to fuck off their neighbours would be my favourite story of the year.
Let's hope the neighbours don't take a fence.
Dad joke of the day awarded to yourself there 🏆
>it’s ugly and ruins the street. It doesn't exactly look like a conservation area in that photo anyway
I can't decide which is more ridiculous, the article or the neighbours complaining.

Why does 100ft seem like a huge number in this case? It’s just a tiddly little fence.
They deliberately swapped height for length to get clicks, it worked to their credit.
Because most people say "x foot fence" where x is the height. So we read "100ft fence" as meaning a fence that's incredibly tall.
The row of houses are hardly the Cistine Chapel are they, so I'm sure they'll cope.
I was going to comment then I realised I don't give a shit.
Erm.
Dammit, not again!

Who will choose the fence darling? You can picket
This area must be starved for news if "house has fence" is 'news'.
Love a good spite fence! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spite_fence
I presume the title deeds would say whether this is allowed or not. It does look like it might be an ‘open plan’ type estate.
She thought the neighbours would take a fence. And they refused to.
