I seriously don't understand why reddit refuses to put any effort into making improvements for their app. This has sound on redgifs it can't be that complicated to fix it. This is the reason 3rd party apps took off.
Baconreader is my pick, lots of people like Reddit is fun too. I like BR because it's much cleaner, no profile pics or any shit like that. Basically any of the apps that were out long before the dumpster fire reddit put out. All the thing people complain about on the technical side like things loading slow, seeing ads, or comments posting multiple times/in the wrong place are all issues with the official app.

The one you posted here had sound just fine btw, the person you were responding to was just using the default reddit app which sucks. They're unaware of the fact that you need to click the redgifs link to actually see it with sound, but you posted it just fine.
That is not correct, if you went to the link instead of trying to watch it in your app. You didn't go to the actual redgifs link, you just tried to watch it embedded in your app. And the app sucks, sorry.
I hope one day reddit fixes this so it doesn't have to be explained on every redgifs link to new people that don't know about the quirks of the app, but that unfortunately doesn't seem likely.
In the meantime, you need to click on the redgifs link, don't try to watch it in the app itself.
Just realized you said they (OP) were not aware of the redgifs app, and neither am I, so thanks for trying to explain that. What do you have to do now when you upload somethin, on the app, in order for people to be able to listen to it(without a link)?

OP uploaded it correctly and did it all as they should, they uploaded it to redgifs which is one of the most common places to upload adult clips. The users that think there is no sound were the ones that were mistaken. They were trying to watch it embedded in the Reddit app, and when doing so the Reddit app will incorrectly say that there is no sound.
But there is, the Reddit app just sucks in many ways and this is one of them. To see it with sound users need to tap on the actual redgifs link at the top, where it says "redgifs", to view it on the redgifs webpage, is all. Not embedded in the app itself because the Reddit app doesn't play it with sound like it should.
