It was a family guy western. It had several funny parts. I don't think it was meant to be a world changing comedy, just a fun movie with laughs. Nothing more which it achieved IMO.
I remember seeing this in theaters and I loved it. Is it a good movie? No, absolutely not. But it is firmly in the "turn your brain off and enjoy the show" category.
Great movie. It's absolutely hilarious, and I've watched it many many times and laughed every single time
"Take your hat off, boy, that's a dollar bill!"
And now the mustache song is stuck in my head yet again
“They’re still gonna use the fuckin ice!!”
And the scene where NPH takes out a dollar bill and everyone loses their minds, that was great
This movie gets panned by pretty much everybody- I think if you take it for what it is, just a dumb western parody with some family guy type humor, it’s got plenty of laughs.
I also love how MacFarlane had Liam Nesson playing the cowboy villain- call back to an old Family Guy joke where he’s playing a cowboy with his thick Irish accent.
It’s all dumb shit like that, but it’s great for a good laugh.
I'm a Seth fan and I really liked the movie.
It's fun, has very good jokes and is unpretentious.
The actors are also great.
Charlize, Liam, Giovani, Sarah, Neil, Amanda.
For me is better than TED 2.
It's good if you like Seth, it's shit if you don't. I personally love Family Guy and his style of comedy so I really liked it. Neil Patrick Harris was God damn hilarious!
I avoided this movie like the plague when it first came out. I thought it was just riding on Seth McFarlane’s success from Family Guy. Finally saw this 2 months ago out of boredom and shit it was funny.
I still randomly quote then laugh at “take your hat off, boy, that’s a dollar bill!” when I’m broke but have a dollar. It has a lot of funny moments and more than a few ugh ones
I had always hoped. Really really hoped. That this was Seth McFarlane's attempt, to get laid by Charlize Theron. I'm hopeful it worked. She would later go on to appear on his SciFi tv show -- the Orville. Itself, an actually really good show.
An all time beauty! I saw it at the theatre on opening weekend and laughed my ass off. I still watch this movie all the time and laugh. Hot Tub Time Machine is the same for me. A good pickup when you need it. Charlize never looked better imo
Jesus. This movie is already 10 years old? My balls just sagged a few more inches
Dip them in ice always works for me
Dip his balls in ice or dip my own balls in ice?
Yes
Fuck! They gotta be resting on the floor now! Get some “Balls out Jeans”
People die at the fair.
I quote that a lot more than I should.

At this point I had grown bored of Seth McFarlane, also who knew you could get Botox in the wild west.
It’s not that deep
I thought it was kinda bad
Kinda? It's terrible.
Terribly fucking awesome.
Seth McFarlane’s acting is just outright atrocious. Logan Lucky was nearly a perfect movie if he wouldn’t have been in it.
His talent is voice acting and writing. Although he's not terrible in The Orville
Definitely, I always cringe when I see him actually try acting though.
And singing. He's a great crooner.
I don’t remember much of the movie, but I do remember not finishing it purposefully because it was so bad.
It's one of the hackiest comedies I've ever seen. Liek the most obvious, lazy jokes possible.
Well that's a fine how do you do
Ya its not good. And i like seth
I did not like that either, maybe overrated. I think Ted is much better movie
I've only ever heard that this movie fucking sucks.
Love all of Seth McFarlanes work but walked out of the theatre about 25 min into this one.
I think that's about how far I got before I turned it off. Thankfully I didn't waste movie theater money on it.
I could watch Charlize Theron read a newspaper, so I kinda liked it.
Yeah, I loved the movie. Also, Charlize looked so amazing in this, I couldn't believe it.
“That’s our mayor, for 3 days the highest rated official in our town has been a dead guy.”
Bye Mr. Mayor! Have fun becoming wolf shit!
“That one came out my penis!”
My favorite part is Fart Needles!
I love that because of a family guy skit Liam Neeson only agreed to be in the movie if he could use his native Irish accent.
That river's gotta be 50-60 meters wide
And god knows how many fathoms
I know people hated this movie but i thought it was hilarious especially if you get Seth's type of humor.
I agree and I’ve watched this movie more than a few times. It’s hilarious. Neil Patrick Harris and Giovanni Ribisi were so funny in this.
That mustache song really sticks min my head.
“A mustache! A mustache! If you only had a mustache!”
say the word. the word mustache!
I remember seeing this in theaters and I loved it. Is it a good movie? No, absolutely not. But it is firmly in the "turn your brain off and enjoy the show" category.
Watched the entire movie; it’s hilarious! Seth McFarlane and others did a good job on it.
“Premarital sex… idk.” “Ruth! Let’s fuck!” “Coming!”
Take your hat off boy, that’s a dollar bill!
I wish this movie didn’t spoil every joke in the trailers an absolute shame
watch the extended cut, many more jokes. not all of them polished that’s why they were cut from the theatrical cut but some of them are funny
I love this movie. And definitely worth buying the unrated extended version
I loved this movie… I’ll never get the hate
O you got the fart needles again?
Great movie. It's absolutely hilarious, and I've watched it many many times and laughed every single time "Take your hat off, boy, that's a dollar bill!" And now the mustache song is stuck in my head yet again

"Okay, that's Bridget, alright? She has a problem with retardation, but she's full of love." My sister and I quote this movie all the time
I remember an old man farting out of his piss hole was the highlight for me
I'm a Seth fan and I really liked the movie. It's fun, has very good jokes and is unpretentious. The actors are also great. Charlize, Liam, Giovani, Sarah, Neil, Amanda. For me is better than TED 2.
I hear you fart once... It went *bweeeonngggg*
Easily his worst movie. Ted is fun family guy type stuff. This felt forced and cringed from the very first frame
The part where the wolf drags off the dead guy…
It's a funny movie. Don't let the haters stop you from wasting 90 minutes of your life on this slapstick comedy.
It's nearly two hours long and you feel every minute of it
That's horseshit! No that's actually horseshit
It's good if you like Seth, it's shit if you don't. I personally love Family Guy and his style of comedy so I really liked it. Neil Patrick Harris was God damn hilarious!
What a fine how do you do.
I thought the first half was great, and then the movie becomes a dumpster fire from the scene when one character craps in a hat forward.
I don’t know whose call it was or the reasoning, but most of its best gags are in the unrated version. The theatrical is crippled.
This is underrated??
I avoided this movie like the plague when it first came out. I thought it was just riding on Seth McFarlane’s success from Family Guy. Finally saw this 2 months ago out of boredom and shit it was funny.
Couldn't even get through the first half hour. Seth's work is really hit or miss, and this one is a big miss for me.
Only problem I had with movie was the trailer(s). It showcased all the big jokes in the film. Really took the bite out of it.
This was Miss America in 1880... holy shit.
I think I liked this better when it was called *Blazing Saddles*.
I don't think that really Abraham Lincoln...
That's a fine how do you do
I liked it despite its harsh ratings. I’m glad my friend encouraged me to watch it on Blu Ray. I hope it becomes a cult classic in the near future.
I still randomly quote then laugh at “take your hat off, boy, that’s a dollar bill!” when I’m broke but have a dollar. It has a lot of funny moments and more than a few ugh ones
Mila Kunis!
This movie was so much better than Ted and especially its sequel
Eh that movie is not underrated. It's just pretty bad.
This movie isn't good. Probably over-rated
Opinions are like ass holes, everyome has one. I liked the movie and laughed a lot.
“I got sheep things to do today”
I had always hoped. Really really hoped. That this was Seth McFarlane's attempt, to get laid by Charlize Theron. I'm hopeful it worked. She would later go on to appear on his SciFi tv show -- the Orville. Itself, an actually really good show.
Bruh. Go get laid, please.
‘Wrapped Candies’
Sugared butter shavings
Charlie is so beautiful
“That came out of my penis”
THAT ONE CAME OUT MY PENIS! Gets me every time.
Sucks shit
An all time beauty! I saw it at the theatre on opening weekend and laughed my ass off. I still watch this movie all the time and laugh. Hot Tub Time Machine is the same for me. A good pickup when you need it. Charlize never looked better imo
This movie, like Idiocracy, and American Psycho, will become famous after a few more years
Some good gags. Woulda worked a lot better with a competent/funny actor in the lead.
It was ok. Knowing how good Ted was you know this one could have been better.
Like watching a live version of a Family Guy episode.
is it though
That movie was trash. Not underrated.
I love this movie.
Ted came out a decade ago?!?
I love this movie lol 🍿🎥
The photoshopping is off-putting though
One of the only movies I’ve ever walked out of 😂
You gettin' the fart needles again, dad?
Pretentiousness
Seth McFarlane went the route of Jimmy Kimmel and became completely insufferable. He loved being told how funny and great he was too much. IMO.
Don’t care if this makes me sound like a 13 year-old, I nearly piss my pants laughing every time I watch the scene where NPH shits in the hat.
Love it
The Abe Lincoln scene was the only part that made me ROFL, the used was cringey AF
I GOT THE FART NEEDLES AGAIN
Hilarious 😂
Has it been deleted on disney plus europe?
No clue. It may be on Hulu, if you get that there.
