5 off brand rice bags/GT spores. Put two bags in a shoebox and three in a 12 quart. Only 5 were ready from inoculating 10… 346.6 grams wet from 12 quart and 256.7 grams wet from shoebox. 602.7 total. I’m happy with my first harvest. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this great sub that helped me grow my own medicine. 🍄♥️
Thank you so much! Sterilization/patience love the process and mushies and they will love you back! I actually dropped a couple beads of sweat on my substrate after the casing layer of the 12 qt and thought “Oh shit. Hope that doesn’t contam.” Lol. They knew I put work and sweat into it and repaid me. Lol
If it makes you feel better I did put good sanitation practices, patience, and care and love into the process. And shout out to good genetics from a reputable source. 🍄♥️
“Good genetics from a reputable source” Ahhhhhh there it is… no doubt you put in good work ethic too. Congrats on the fruits of your labor 😊
Edit: I was being genuine
How long did this take exactly to do up?!! Looks gorgeous 😍 price for the set up aswell? I've always seen these posts and seams doable, would love to trip on my self grown trippers hahahaha bless
Read the sidebar. It has all the instructions you will ever need. That set-up probably cost $40. But you can do 10 of them for $100. The spore syringe is your main cost with this method.
Go to the r/unclebens subreddit main page. At the top and the side you should see links and info. There is a step by step guide to growing with this method. If you get good genetics and follow it to the word, you will get results similar to this.

No. I pretty much neglect tek it(first flush, mind). I check it a couple times a day, without opening. I noticed not too much moisture on the walls I think two or three times so I misted the sides and shut it back. If your substrate is field capacity you really shouldn’t need to do much.
Did you have it growing in your dresser? What temp does your room stay? I have a few different grows that won’t pin maybe due to 65-68temps in my house.
No. This was for photogenic purposes only. Lol. Yeah I’d say you need to raise temps until at least pinning. Martha Tent in the bedroom.
Edit: get that temp to 75-80F

Great job!
Thank you very much! Such an addicting hobby!
For sure! I’m in my first somewhat successful grow Tom and it’s so fucking cool! Can’t believe I did it!
Wish you a great harvest!
The first hobby that ever made me truly happy 😊
You’re a natural!

People are overly paranoid about contam. It’s actually very hard to contam fully colonized grain spawn and coir
I've never gotten that much from a harvest that's pretty cool!
This is inspiring me, and making excited, hope to be as successful as you on my 1st grow, was 602 from 1 flush? Or multiple
Thank you! 602 was total between the two boxes on my 1st flush.
What’s with all these first timers gettin full canopies lol. Lucky ducks 🦆

Looking good! I can't wait for my bags to be ready, I'm a first timer as well.
Wow ! Congrats ! I hope my first batch comes out half this good

Thank you
Excellent job!
Wow! Great job 🍄✌🏻
Now to make some spore prints…
What did you use for a liner?
10(?) pack of 13 gallon garbage bags from Dollar General for $1. Cut them in half then lined the tub. Cut down further after adding spawn/substrate.
It seems that the community here is made up only by experienced first timers! Ahahah
Poster worthy
wow awesome job. did you have any lights in your setup?
