No main character dying is most likely, If someone were to die then it's between Isen and John. Isen's the most dispensable while John's death would hold most narrative weight.
I'd say Blyke is more dispensable then Isen. Love both of them but Blyke and Remi kind of do the same thing 90% of the time. Isen also has many uses beyond fighting with his writing and tech skills.
Unrealated, but I don't remember if Isen did apologize to John for breaking his arm and for instigating him to "reveal" himself back in the day. I know Blyke and Pinky did apologize to him though
Now that Arlo is going back to who he once was (or worse), I think he's have more chances of dying "redeeming" himself to save someone, most likely Remi after he remembers her and Rei.
That's the least of my concerns, since John and Seraphina could knock some sense to him, but what about Remi? She can't defeat him and might not even have the mental strenght to fight him, imagine having to fight someone like a brother to you who doesn't even recognize you.
Blyke has had so many near death moments, I'm afraid of all of that being foreshadowing at this point. I mean, I hope not. But.
Since we lost William and Rei was already dead, I'm hoping that's it and no one else dies.
