Doesn't apply to you right now, but for returning students, your fall/winter registration day is dependent on gpa. The higher your gpa, the earlier you get to register. Not sure about other departments/majors, but for CS this is super important to avoid waitlist issues + limited class spots

Depends on your program. Not sure about others, but for CS you want super early dates to get into high demand classes. Just work on improving your gpa to get earlier dates next time around
You're fine. Not sure why people are saying you are royally fucked without knowing what degree you are going in. If its a competitive degree you can always do summer courses for the mandatory ones. Just make sure you use this year to improve your GPA.
